Stay in this nicely decorated in-town condominium (Royal Oak #224) and walk to Main St. with all of its great restaurants and shops. Close to App,Sugar,Beech ski areas. Close proximity to Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Moses Cone State Park, Julian Price State Park, Linville Falls and Caverns, App. State Univ., and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Skiing,hiking, biking, rafting, horseback riding nearby. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit has a fully stocked kitchen, a stone fireplace with gas logs, ceiling fans, and an A/C unit as well. High speed Internet (WiFi), color cable flat screen TV w/ Blu-Ray DVD player, CD player/stereo and iPod speakers/dock. Washer and dryer. Bedrooms are located on either side of the living area with private baths, just perfect for two couples or a family. Binder in condo has lots of area attraction info. No Smoking/No Pets!

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your condo! It is really cute and has everything we would ever need. What a perfect location! We walked to the restaurants and shops downtown every day. Thanks so much for all of the helpful information. It made our trip so easy to enjoy. We hope to return when the weather is warm and sunny. Good thing we are originally from MA since the temps were in the 30's and 40's and drizzly and foggy most of the time. We still had a terrific time.Did you find this review helpful? Our family (2 adults, 3 children) had a great time at the Blowing Rock condo. Lynn was very easy and timely to work with and we enjoyed her book of ideas and helpful local information provided at the condo. We were comfortable staying there. Due to the nature of our stay we ate all of our breakfast and lunch meals at the condo and had plenty of space at her dining area. We enjoyed working the simple condo puzzle and playing the games. We decided to visit Linville Caverns on our one rainy day and still enjoyed our trip thoroughly! I would highly recommend working with Lynn and staying in her well-furnished, comfortable, and convenient condo right off the main street in Blowing Rock!Did you find this review helpful? We just got back from our week in Blowing Rock and despite the unusual spring snow, had a great time! Many thanks to Lynn for her quick responses and hospitality for the Royal Oak condo. It was my husband, daughter, sister and her husband and there was plenty of room for all of us. The condo had all the comforts of home. We only brought the food we thought we'd need in case we got snowed in - everything else was there. We especially appreciated the binder with local activities, restaurants, tv/entertainment info. It was a lifesaver. With 20 degree temperatures, the fireplace was on every day. Very easy to use. The condo is in the perfect location. We walked to the local restaurants and shops and even fed the ducks a couple times at Broyhill lake. The streets were constantly plowed and salted so it was easy to get around town or go to Boone. We even got to sled at a nearby hill! We all agreed we'd happily stay here again. Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This condo is so quaint and charming. It is located literally just steps from downtown Blowing Rock. My girlfriend and I did not need a car for three days. We enjoyed the short stroll to Twigs to listen to live music! We even found a trail which led directly to the outlet mall....it was only about a 15 minute walk. The condo itself is very cozy and had everything needed for a comfortable long weekend in the mountains. The gas fireplace was a nice touch also....nice to just flip on the switch after a long day outside :) The owner was also wonderful to work with. All necessary details and information were provided, and the owner also provided wonderful suggestions about good restaurants, outdoor activities, etc. I will definitely be returning to this property for future trips!Did you find this review helpful? Me, my husband and our two children stayed in this condo for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is quaint, sweet and cozy. We burned the gas logs daily because it was so cold outside and we stayed toasty warm! It is so close to Main Street, we walked everywhere! "A great day trip from BR if you like to be active in the outdoors. An hour and 15 min. drive to Damascus, VA where you rent a bike, get shuttled to the top of Whitetop Mountain and ride the trail back down the mountain. You can bring your picnic in a backpack or there are places to get food along the trail. Make a reservation for your bike rental at The Bike Station or JCs Outdoors. The trail is a bike/footpath that follows an old railroad bed. Good for all ages. Not much pedaling required since it is all downhill!!"

If you do get in your car, it is a 5 min dirve to App. Ski Mtn, Tweetsie RR, the Blue Ridge Parkway; and a 10 minute drive to Boone and App. State University.
