Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your condo! It is really cute and has everything we would ever need. What a perfect location! We walked to the restaurants and shops downtown every day. Thanks so much for all of the helpful information. It made our trip so easy to enjoy. We hope to return when the weather is warm and sunny. Good thing we are originally from MA since the temps were in the 30's and 40's and drizzly and foggy most of the time. We still had a terrific time.

Our family (2 adults, 3 children) had a great time at the Blowing Rock condo. Lynn was very easy and timely to work with and we enjoyed her book of ideas and helpful local information provided at the condo. We were comfortable staying there. Due to the nature of our stay we ate all of our breakfast and lunch meals at the condo and had plenty of space at her dining area. We enjoyed working the simple condo puzzle and playing the games. We decided to visit Linville Caverns on our one rainy day and still enjoyed our trip thoroughly! I would highly recommend working with Lynn and staying in her well-furnished, comfortable, and convenient condo right off the main street in Blowing Rock!

We just got back from our week in Blowing Rock and despite the unusual spring snow, had a great time! Many thanks to Lynn for her quick responses and hospitality for the Royal Oak condo. It was my husband, daughter, sister and her husband and there was plenty of room for all of us. The condo had all the comforts of home. We only brought the food we thought we'd need in case we got snowed in - everything else was there. We especially appreciated the binder with local activities, restaurants, tv/entertainment info. It was a lifesaver. With 20 degree temperatures, the fireplace was on every day. Very easy to use. The condo is in the perfect location. We walked to the local restaurants and shops and even fed the ducks a couple times at Broyhill lake. The streets were constantly plowed and salted so it was easy to get around town or go to Boone. We even got to sled at a nearby hill! We all agreed we'd happily stay here again. Thanks!

Great condo in the heart of Blowing Rock!

This condo is so quaint and charming. It is located literally just steps from downtown Blowing Rock. My girlfriend and I did not need a car for three days. We enjoyed the short stroll to Twigs to listen to live music! We even found a trail which led directly to the outlet mall....it was only about a 15 minute walk. The condo itself is very cozy and had everything needed for a comfortable long weekend in the mountains. The gas fireplace was a nice touch also....nice to just flip on the switch after a long day outside :) The owner was also wonderful to work with. All necessary details and information were provided, and the owner also provided wonderful suggestions about good restaurants, outdoor activities, etc. I will definitely be returning to this property for future trips!

Me, my husband and our two children stayed in this condo for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is quaint, sweet and cozy. We burned the gas logs daily because it was so cold outside and we stayed toasty warm! It is so close to Main Street, we walked everywhere! We certainly recommend this condo and look forward to visiting again!

We stayed here for a 3-day weekend and had a wonderful time. It was so nice to be able to walk downtown and enjoy the various shops and restaurants without the hassle of having to find a parking spot. We also enjoyed the many attractions that are a short drive away. Tweetsie RR, Grandfather Mountain, and the Daniel Boone Inn in Boone were just a few of the places we visited. It was a great family vacation and we'll definitely stay here again!

We have really enjoyed our 2 weeks at your condo. It is so well located in Blowing Rock, so well stocked and so comfortable. The weather has been fabulous with only occasional rain showers in the afternoon. Hate to go back to the humidity of the S.C. Low Country. We did quite a bit of cooking while here. Your knife set was wonderful! And all those spices were so helpful.

This was our second stay in this complex. This unit is exceptionally well maintained. The kitchen is very complete and well stocked. We enjoy the 5 minute walk into downtown without parking worries. Blowing Rock is truly the jewel town in the mountains.

This condo was the perfect spot for our mother/daughters get-away. We found the condo to be clean and well-maintained. The location was ideal for walking to the business district for shopping and dining. Unseasonably warm weather prompted the use of the condo's a/c unit, but we found it sufficient to cool the living area and the two bedrooms. I would definitely consider this property again on another visit.

My husband and I took my parents to Blowing Rock to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary. Your condo provided the perfect accommodation for 2 couples -- much better than if we had rented hotel rooms. It was clean, cozy and so well stocked. Being so close to town was great, but it was also very quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a great weekend!

A Wonderful, Relaxing Few Days

My two friends and I (all Seniors!) loved the most well-equipped, clean condo that I have ever rented. The owner's binder was so helpful--we particularly loved the walk around Bass Lake, the Moses Cone home, and the Episcopal Church on Main Street. All of us are ready to go back in the fall to this wonderful condo. Thanks, Lynn.

We had a wonderful stay in Blowing Rock. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. We have a 10 year old and a 13 year old and felt very comfortable letting them roam around the town by themselves. The owner provided us with great suggestions on activities in the area. We loved the trip to the Virginia Creeper Bike Trail that she recommended. We also went kayaking, tubing and hiking within short driving distances near BR. The condo was a great place to relax and very cozy. The family is already asking when they can go back. What a great trip!

Everything about this place is accurately describe in the rental listing. It is a quaint condo located extremely convenient to a number of places. We went with our two year old to Tweetsie Railroad to see Thomas the Train. We were able to leave the park to TRY and nap back at the condo and then returned. (It was literally 5 minutes) The playground is wonderful and, although the ice cream at Kilwin's is a bit pricey, it was delicious. The only thing (which is outside of the condo itself) is the TV programs for children are very limited. When my son gets older we plan on returning to go skiing. Wonderful place.

We were in Blowing Rock for the App State Graduation and had dinner reservation the night before at Best Cellar for a party. We thoroughly enjoyed the condo - the living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were are very nice - clean, with everything you need and decorated warmly. The view from the living room bay window is nice. We loved the location of the condo - it's close enough to downtown that we didn't drive very much. We had brunch at the Village - nice recommendation. Overall a wonderful weekend and this condo is perfect for a Blowing Rock stay!

Comfort and Convenience with this VIRBO Pick

We rented upon the recommendation of our daughter. We were so delighted at what we found. We enjoyed the comforts of home in this well-equipped and appropriately decorated condo. The arts and crafts used in decorating were tasteful and highlighted local art. So much attention was placed on detail, comfort, and cleanliness! The location of the condo could not have been better. We enjoyed walking all around the town and back again with energy to spare. The information provided in the white binder and the rack of brochures allowed us to gain background information on local attractions, directions, hours, fees, etc. It was fun to sit around sharing the information and picking out the destinations of the day. We wasted no time looking once we set out on foot or in the car. Friday night music had started at the Inn on Sunset and we could hear it from the kitchen table. We even enjoyed some socializing on the huge deck out front. We really were not ready to leave so when a thick fog descended on the town on Monday morning, we were granted one last walk to town and a tasty treat and coffee at the Cafe on Main before winding back down the mountain and heading home.

Our stay was very comfortable and the condo is tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the fireplace and the well stocked kitchen. It was quite,but yet walking distance to restaurants and town. There is a beautiful view from the kitchen table.Tulips and beautiful trees surround your view.The lower outside deck has patio tables and is huge. It's a wonderful place to get some sun. We would definitely recommend this for a vacation getaway.

All the amenities of home, very well stocked, full kitchen was great so we didn't have to eat out for every meal or hot snacks while we relaxed watching T.V. after a full day of activities. The condo was within a 5-10 minute walking distance from Downtown Blowing Rock with it's wonderfully quaint old style shops and restaurants (some of the higher end restaurants require reservations, DO NOT wait till the last minute, I did and proved disappointing). The condo was centrally located to many of the attractions (loved Grandfather Mountain), split bedroom plan was great for privacy even had laundry accommodations. The condo was well decorated and comfortable. We liked the idea of being able to adjust the temperature in different rooms. Special note: Communication with home owner was great, very responsive, couldn't ask for more.

We have been vacationing in this area for fifteen years and always chose to stay in hotels. We decided to try something different and were pleasantly surprised. The cost was comparable to hotels in the area and it was much more enjoyable. This condo was all we could have hoped for. It is charmingly decorated, well-stocked and comfortable. It is close to everything in Blowing Rock and a perfect home base for exploring and enjoying the area. As a family of four we appreciated the two full baths, and the two twin beds were perfect for our teens. Having a washer and dryer is an added bonus for longer stays. We will definitely return!

This condo is in a GREAT location. It is within easy walking distance to the main, downtown Blowing Rock area, great restaurants on Sunset, walking distance to TWIGS, and very close to the outlets! My husband described the condo as "even better than in the pictures". Comfortable beds, linens, etc. Clean, well stocked- a perfect getaway condo. Bedrooms are private with individual bathrooms. Communication with owner was excellent, good customer service. Would highly recommend.

We so enjoyed our time in Blowing Rock. We were completely prepared prior to arrival by really thorough information about the area and rental property/supplies. The decor was warm and inviting as well as super comfortable. The condo was right in the heart of Blowing Rock and we had a great time walking to get dinner and window shopping. We stayed at this condo for a couple of days and we certainly come back next time when we drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is perfectly located in the center part of the Parkway. The place is close to downtown Blowing Rock, to shop at Boone an, of course, a well located basis to hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain etc. - it is close to many activities. The condo is right the appropriate size for up to four people. Although we had bad luck with the weather it was nice to be there and we did feel at home. It is calm, clean and well looked after. Dishes and cooking equipment were complete.The owner is friendly and helpful. The rate is clear and no hidden costs (also the cleaning was already included); nothing to be aware of. The deposit was returned within two days after we left! We will return soon - absolutely recommendable ... we hope not too many will book it now, since we like it available, when we will use it again! :-)

My husband and I stayed in the condo for a long weekend with our 2 year old daughter. While there weren't any amenities specific to children at the condo, we found it child friendly. The bedrooms were spacious (plenty of room to set up a pack n play for our daughter to sleep in). We also appreciated lots of high hooks and shelves to keep breakables out of reach:-) We enjoyed the walk up to main street for icecream, dining, and the lovely park. The drive was easy to hiking and other area attractions.

This was my first experience renting thru VRBO and It was perfect for my girls getaway weekend and would highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely return soon!

Charming and Easy

On a recent long weekend trip to Blowing Rock, my family and I stayed in this two bedroom, two bath charming condo with EASY access to downtown and its ammenities. The condo was clean, efficient and was decorated with NC handcrafts in a 'mountain cabin' theme. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings and appreciated being about to walk to town. We also long made day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway to hike. In addition to shopping and hiking visitors to Blowing Rock can find live music and wonderful eateries. I would recommend you checking this out for yourselves. Our owner was very available and left wonderful suggestions.

Great place to stay and a great town to stay in! We really enjoyed Blowing Rock- convenient to Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain (and Tootsie Railroad though my kids are a bit old for that). We very much enjoyed walking downtown- great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner- even for my teenagers- who also enjoyed the ice cream and park on Main St... I found it nice to be able to hace a glass of wine with dinner (or two) and have just a short walk back. The condo was clean and very well maintained. Great place to escape the heat of summer! I highly recommend this property- and town..

Great Father's Day Weekend in Blowing Rock!

We celebrated Father's Day 2011 in Blowing Rock and found the condo to be perfect for our family. Dad celebrated his day by fly fishing and I walked with the kids into town and on a hike down to the falls. The information provided in regards to hiking trails, restaurants, town pool, etc, were all great! Location can't be beat, kitchen was well stocked for a night of cooking in and modern conveniences - wireless, etc, made it a great weekend. We look forward to returning!

Great condo walking distance to main street

We spent Mother's Day weekend at this condo with our 2 young sons. We went to Tweetsie, which they loved and also Grandfather Mountain. This condo was perfect for us. We were able to walk to the park and to Kilwins of course. My older son and I had a wonderful breakfast at Village Cafe. We love Blowing Rock and definitely will return to this condo. Thank you!

Beautifully decorated and well equipped for our stay. We especially appreciated the stocked kitchen supplies including numerous spices, soap for cleaning dishes and washing clothing. The location is perfect for walking throughout the downtown area for touring and eating at many excellent restaurants. The owners make this renting experience easy and communicate essential details to the renters. We have rented several condominiums and houses in many areas of the United States. This property is one of the most outstanding residences we have had the pleasure of enjoying. Thank you again!

Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
