Welcome to Narnia!
This three level Victorian style town home is the perfect Silver Star retreat. It features a spacious entry way with plenty of room to store skis/snowboards/bikes and anything else you need to enjoy the mountain. If you have more gear, store it in the large, heated garage. On the second level, you will find the main living area which opens up to cathedral ceilings. Relax by the fire and admire the hand carved mantle or sit near the window and take in the breathtaking view of the Monashee mountains. Or, if your prefer, soak in the private covered hot tub. In warmer months, our huge balcony is perfect for an afternoon barbeque with friends or to watch a morning sunrise.
The kitchen is fully stocked for the aspiring chef and has everything you need to prepare meals for yourself and your family, including a Jenn-air range/grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker and toaster. The dining table and bar will comfortably seat up to 9 people.
The main floor bedroom sleeps two in a double bed. On the third level, there is a King sized bed for two and a multi-bunk room that sleeps 5 (great for kids). Each bedroom has a spacious closet and it's own full bathroom with tub and/or shower. There is a washer and dryer on the main level.
Ski out directly from the house. Return via the Silver Queen lift or take the village shuttle (free).
Silver Star mountain is a four season resort. People come from all over the world to ski between the end of November and Easter. The resort caters to skiers of all abilities and is wonderful for families. There is a fantastic ski school for all levels. Nordic skiing is excellent at both Silver Star and nearby Sovereign Lakes (home of the World Cup skiing in 2008). Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and tubing are also popular. In the summer, come for mountain biking, wildlife tours, hiking and the annual Okanagan wine festival. Several world class golf courses are located within a 30-40 km radius, including Predator Ridge (one of the top courses in Canada) and The Rise (designed by Fred Couples). There are many lakes in this region, most famous being Okanagan Lake which stretches the length of the Okanagan valley. Here, you will have opportunities for swimming, boating, waterskiing, windsurfing and kite boarding. Don't forget to visit the many local wineries and sample famous Okanagan wines.
The village at Silver Star is within walking distance and offers restaurants and retail stores during all seasons. The city of Vernon is easily accessed by car or shuttle. This town of 50,000 has all the amenities you could want including live theatre, movie cinemas, shopping and night life. Kelowna International Airport is an easy 50 minute drive.

This is a lovely home with convenient 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The place is clean, cozy, and well layed out. Beautiful views of the mountains and easy access to cross country, downhill and snowshoe trails. Nice entry level foyer to hang your ski gear and keep it warm and dry. Very pleased with Silver Star and this rental property. Highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Ski in, ski out location with spectacular views and location. Cozy living with great furnishings and lots of room to spread out. Close to cross country and alpine skiing, from the front door! Views of the Monashee mountains and spectacular sun and moon rises.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We head from the coast into the "snowy world" (as our kids call it) of interior British Columbia each winter for a one-week ski trip. Although we've tried a variety of mountains, we've most often chosen Silverstar because it's got everything a big ski resort offers in terms of terrain and activities, yet somehow feels more magical and family friendly, with its x-country trails intersecting the downhill runs, surrounded by beautiful forest/parkland, and its magical village with multi-coloured chalets. We recently found our best accommodation there yet in "Narnia" - a terrific chalet that's ideally located for ski-in/ski-out or catching the free shuttle bus (we parked our vehicle in their garage and didn't need it the rest of the week). It's also beautiful and spacious inside with a terrific kitchen, large and very comfortable beds, a bunk room for kids, and all the amenities to keep two families with kids happy when relaxing between ski outings. The owners provided all the info we needed in a timely fashion and were clearly committed to providing a very clean and well-maintained luxury accommodation. The combination of fresh powder falling almost everyday, great ski runs, and such a beautiful, comfortable, and well-located chalet made for a very magical family time.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 4. Damage Insurance – A one time fee of $49 will protect you against incidental damage to the property. If you prefer, we will accept a $500 damage deposit that is refundable after you check out and the unit has been inspected. 5. Payment – A DEPOSIT of 50% of the total is due at booking. The BALANCE is payable one week before arrival. 6. Cancellations - A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. ?Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur a penalty of $100 (equivalent to booking fee) with the remainder of the deposit returned to you. Cancellations that are made within 30 days of the arrival date forfeit the full advance payment unless we are able to secure another reservation. We love cozy evenings at the chalet after a long day on the slopes. Dawn - I am a busy mom with two teenage kids. After a hectic week, Narnia is the perfect place for me to relax. We love our chalet and make every effort to keep it comfortable for everyone!

We have lived on Vernon, BC for 6 years. We enjoy recreation at Silver Star and wanted to have a vacation property to enjoy with family and friends. We stay at our ski chalet too, so we have made certain it is comfortable.
