  Clean, comfortable, convenient. I'm familiar with the North Shore, and it can be somewhat pricey. Hale Moi provided an ideal base for me. I didn't want the "check-in / check-out" routine of a hotel, and this made it feel like "my" place. Attractive furnishings (beautiful hardwood floors, canopy bed) but not overwhelming. Enough appliances to take care of my needs. EXTREMELY convenient for the places i wanted to spend some time. Hiking Na Pali, snorkeling Ke'e Beach, and Hanalei all provided stunning photos. (Shave Ice saved my life after a rigorous Kalalau hike...lol). Highly recommended.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  This place is the jam! No hotel can compare! We had an amazing trip and a "home" to return to every night. Best sunset is at either Ke'e Beach---hike up the first part of Kalalu triol to get your own private vista-- or tunnels is great too. We are coming back!

  We have just enjoyed 12 nights in Kauai and THE ORCHID ROOM was a great base to get out and explore the island. The mountain view is spectacular and one morning we counted 5 waterfalls from our lanai! The farmers markets are a great way to get local fruit & veggies and with our fresh coconut and pineapple we made yummy pina colodas. We hike the Kalalau trail, got married "eloped", saw whales breaching, evacuated for an expected tsunami, enjoyed an afternoon of slack key guitar all in our short stay. Thank you.

  Enjoyed the stay here at THE ORCHID ROOM. It rained a couple of the days but hikes are awesome in the rain if you have good shoes and matching attitude. Two hikes, a flight with Birds of Paradise and turtles at the beach somewhere near Poipu were our highlights. Great place! Visit Hideaways. You don't have to go far for a good view.

  We loved staying in THE ORCHID ROOM. We had a wonderful time. We were so close to many adventures- Hideaway Beach, Queen's Bath, a helicopter ride in Princeville. Plus we enjoyed Tunnels and Fern Grotto just a short drive away. After fun filled days it was nice to rest under the great ceiling fan on the comfortable bed. Mahalo. PS. We took over 250 pictures. The island is beautiful.

  Hale Moi was a wonderful spot to end our 3 week tour of the islands. It has been a quiet, peaceful and beautiful spot. I love the Norths Shore beauty, the surf, the sunsets, the Napali coast line. This has been our little hideaway. We had an amazing trip on the HOLO HOLO journey along the Napali coast. It is the highlight for us of this week. So we feel blessed to have been here at Hale Moi and thank God & you Kelly for the chance to spend this time to end our Hawaiian vacation in THE ORCHID ROOM.

  My husband and I spent 10 days in Kauai for our much belated honeymoon. THE ORCHID ROOM was far beyond our expectations. Great location, amazing view and just what we needed. We recommend Hideaway Beach, Secret Beach, Larsen's Beach (we saw a monk seal pup!), the hike at Waimea Canyon, Na Pali Coast hike, surfing lessons @ Hanalei Bay, the Mai Tais at Thaiti Nui in Hanalei, and sunset at the Polihale State Park on the West Side. Oh and see the sea turtles @ Queen's Bath! We had the most wonderful stay in Kauai, and it was only made better by staying in THE ORCHID ROOM. We are definitely coming again.

  My husband and I wold like to thank you for such a lovely time at THE ORCHID ROOM!. We were married 2 1/2 years ago here on Kauai and we are now back for our 2nd honeymoon! Beautiful views inside THE ORCHID ROOM and out!! What a great farmers market in Hanalei and Hideaways beach was absolutely unforgettable at sunset. Such a beautiful island and such a wonderful comfortable place to stay at a great price. We will be back! We fell in love with Kauai years ago. Warmest Mahalo to you!

  Aloha! This ORCHID ROOM was great! It was very clean and comfy. Our most pleasant surprise was the sounds of silence off the balcony, along with the sweet birds chirping. Hearing roosters everyday was different for us. Literally, a breath of fresh air! Mahalo!

  We loved spending our honeymoon at THE ORCHID ROOM. The condo is great and suited our needs perfectly. We explored just about every beach on the island including very hard to find Larson's Beach. Too bad the Polihale State Park was closed. We highly recommend Mark's Place for plate lunches and Scott's for BBQ. And be careful if ordering pancakes at Kountry Kitchen, they are huge!

  Great whale watching just down the cement path on the left of Pali Ke Kua condo complex. Great turtle watching down the steps past the benches. Great hot dogs and ice cream at the Shopping Center, 5 minutes by car. Thank you so much.

  This is a beautiful part of the USA- We are thrilled that we have been able to experience so much in a few days. The highlight of the area was the hike to Hanakapi'ai Falls. THE ORCHID ROOM is a great place to stay to visit this part of the island. THANK YOU!

  I had a magical time, more than I ever expected from the room to the island. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space, a special door to all the island has to offer!   We had a terrific stay at THE ORCHID ROOM. The location and views were amazing. This was our second trip to Kauai and we really had a chance to explore the island. The 5 minute walk to Hideaway Beach is a tough walk up and down but well worth it. Thanks again.

  We enjoyed our stay at THE ORCHID ROOM. We traveled from Montreal, Canada for our honeymoon. Every day brought a new discovery and a new beauty. The Kauai Blue guidebook was very helpful. We dined at Postcards; the food and wine was amazing, cost approx $100, but depending on choice. Our most enjoyable ventures were Ke'e Beach for snorkeling, Lydgate park and Koloa landing in the South. Amazing fish to be seen. The canyon was beautiful but a long drive. Kipu falls was wonderful. For shopping and food Kapaa is less pricey. Also the farmers markets are very interesting, with all different island fruits.

  We had a lovely stay at THE ORCHID ROOM. We saw beautiful views of the Na Pali along the Kalaulau Trail and walked over to Queen's Bath. The snorkeling at Tunnels and Hideaways Beaches is great. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations. We have to be back again soon.

  We really enjoyed our stay here at THE ORCHID ROOM, especially the lanai view. We highly recommend eating dinner at sunset at the Princeville Hotel. It is expensive but so worth it. The best food & the best view we've had here. Also check out Queen's Bath, which is so close to this room. Do not go swimming though because we saw some occasional 30 ft waves that would smash against the back of the bath. Thanks again for providing such a great retreat!

  Aloha- My mom and Auntie came to visit me & stayed here at THE ORCHID ROOM. We were all blown away by the beauty of this condo. Such a perfect little gem (and a such a reasonable price!) I have lots of mainland visitors and I will certainly recommend THE ORCHID ROOM to them all. I love it here!

  We loved the room, beautiful view of the mountains and waterfalls. We really enjoyed our last night in Kauai here. A great thing to do is to watch the sunset on the balcony of the Princeville Hotel and surfing at Hideaways, right down the road! We hope to return!

  Thank you so much. We are having a great stay here at THE HALE MOI ORCHID ROOM. I love hearing the birds first thing in the morning and throughout the day. Seeing the sun change on the mountains, and feeling the gentle island breezes flow through. We will definitely be back soon.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at THE ORCHID ROOM. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home, which is so centrally located in a true paradise. Postcards Cafe in Hanalei is a must; the freshest, most flavorful food you can imagine. Also arrive at the var at the Princeville Hotel early to get a great sunset table on their deck. Finally Hideaways beach is a gem, true Hawaii. Thank for making this a vacation to remember.

  We had a wonderful time in this beautiful place. We definitely recommend hiking the trail that starts at the end of Ke'e Beach (though it is a bit tough!). Don't go to Kalypso's for the food (drinks are good) Hideaways beach is also must and it is just a 15 minute walk from the room! Thank you so much for letting us stay at such a beautiful place!
