  My husband & I are from Colorado Springs, CO and my parents are from Richland, WA spent the long weekend here at Beyond the Sea! We've had a great time traveling up and down the coast and coming home to a cozy fire and warm hot tub! Thank you for sharing your home and beautiful view.

  We stayed at Beyond The Sea in September 2012, it was such a nice place to stay and everyone involved in the rental were extremely helpful.. We plan on staying there again and again.. Very nice house with a spectacular view.. We loved it..

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  The House is cosmetically nice but I felt like we had to walk on egg shells, so to speak or we would be charged for anything spotted, broke or missing. Alot of loose hardware and house was surface cleaned only when we arrived. I was surprised at having to complete laundry before checkout. Most VRBOs you simply start it. To my surprise we were charged for a pet stained comforter after we got home. My pets stayed in the garage with their own blankets the entire length of our stay and last I knew my husband and I were house broke. We've used alot of VRBOs for our vacations and the policy of "Treat our home as if it is you own it." really comes across nice. We'll pay your fee, but, we won't be back to Beyond the Sea.

  Owner response: We (the owners) feel that this is an odd and inaccurate review. Like all other VRBO owners offering their homes for rent, it is commonplace to ask guests to treat our home as they would their own. It follows that if anything is spotted/stained, broken, or missing/stolen, that guests would be charged accordingly. In this case, our home was thoroughly cleaned and carefully inspected before and after these guests' stay. Before they arrived, the comforter had no stains; upon their departure there was a noticeable stain. Perhaps it was not caused by their dogs, but someone spilled something and a small fee was charged. We may have to replace the comforter. As for the cleaning fee, we have been giving guests a choice of what rate they'd like to pay -- the lower rate does not include laundry and we clearly (on the website and in the rental agreement) let guests know that we expected them to do their own laundry; the higher cleaning rate included full laundry service. These guests opted for the lower cleaning rate and then were upset at having to do the laundry. Regardless, this is a moot point because as of June 1st we are charging one flat fee to guests and this includes housecleaning and full laundry service (with lovely, high quality, boutique hotel sheets and towels). We have a lovely home with a beautiful ocean right outside the window, and our goal is always to make guests feel comfortable, happy, and at home in our home. We want our guests happy!

  The location of the home was awesome! I rented it because it had a hot tub and a fireplace! The kitchen was well equipped which was great because I like to cook! Also, I will recommend your website to my dog friends!

  The location and view from the home could not have been better. Each morning we were greeted with a fabulous view of the ocean filling all the windows.

  Over the past five years we have made at least one trip a year (sometimes 2) to the Oregon coast and have been renting different homes in Seaside, Cannon Beach, Lincoln City and Depoe Bay -- trying a new place each trip. The was by far our favorite!

  We had high expectations and we were not disappointed!! The house on the beach was perfect. The pictures on the website didn't do it justice. And Kate and Todd were spectacular to work with - they were willing to give suggestions and help with anything we needed to make our trip perfect. Because of our great experience, we WILL and cannot WAIT to reserve with Sweet Homes Rentals again.

  We've stayed at Beyond the Sea twice now and it will always be our first choice for our Oregon vacations. The home is lovely and clean, the bed so very comfy. We love the hot tub and especially the new privacy screen. The ocean views are wonderful and the access to the beach on the 804 trail is great.

  Beyond the Sea was a dream come true. This home is in a perfect location to explore the Oregon coast, as well as the numerous state parks nearby. Hearing the sounds of the ocean, with a relaxing fire each night was just what the Dr. ordered. The home was clean, and well maintained and had everything you could need and more. I highly recommend this property. Be sure to stop by Strawberry Hill Point to view the seals, and the nearby Waldport farmers market on Wednesdays was a delight. Local Oceans restaurant in Newport serves up a delicious dinner. This house was a complete delight.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  My husband and I have a small dog and wanted to stay in an oceanfront rental. After a lot of searching we decided upon 'Beyond the Sea'. This house and location were beyond our expectations. The panoramic view of the Pacific coast was spectacular! The house was very tastefully furnished and immaculate. The owner's pay a lot of attention to detail to ensure their guests are completely satisfied. The kingsize bed in the master bedroom was one of the most comfortable we'd ever slept on. We had all the amenities we needed and it was great to have reliable wi-fi and a big screen HD tv with lots of channels to choose from. We would walk out of the front door and walk for several miles along the Yachats 804 Trail. After the long walks we would relax in the fantastic hot tub on the back deck and soak in all the sounds and sights of the ocean. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay and appreciate having had the opportunity.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
