Located near Plain and Lake Wenatchee, the cabin is located 5 miles from Lake Wenatchee. Close to state cross-country skiing trails and snowshoeing. A small grocery store is located about 5 miles away in Plain and another 5 miles away on highway near the Lake. There is parking for a motor home on site.
House is a brand new house of about 3000 s.f. with a main floor with master bath and jetted tub and walk in closet. Kitchen, dining and living rooms with TV (wired for DVD) on main floor with two bedrooms and den on second floor. Basement is finished and has air hockey. We have sleds available for winter recreation.
Views from the wraparound deck and main floor which have many windows, are to the east and morning sunrise. Changing colors of trees in fall are a site to behold; in winter, view of the mountain and snow covered trees are breathtaking.
An additional rental for lesser rates is located next door.

This cottage was nice and big with loads of stuff for young kids and toddlers. I would definitely recommend this to people who wanna have fun. Note a car is necessary .....Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: What a great group of renters. This was a last minute booking and was handled very well by the renters. The VRBO payment option worked well since I only had a smart phone to do the transaction.

We stayed here with our entire family. There was enough room for all of us. The jacuzzi tub in the master room was such a relaxing treat after a day out in the snow. This location would have been a 5 with the exception of the following: the forever chirping smoke detector in the living room and the multitude of stink bugs everywhere. The location was close to the sno park where we spent a day snowmobiling and there was a gentle hill for sleding in the backyard. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed the house while we were out of the country getting treatment. We were debating whether to rent while we were gone but we had good backup that each renter was notified of. We had a power outage of several days in December and the cold weather must have breeded those bugs. Cleaners and we always check and remove the inanimate bugs. They seem to be more numerous this year. They are pretty innocuous though. First we heard of the smoke detector battery. The battery is replaced.

This was our first VRBO experience and this home has set the bar very high! We stayed there for the season's first lighting ceremony in Leavenworth and couldn't have been happier! There were 3 families; 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 infants and we had plenty of room!! We kept commenting throughout the weekend about how beautiful the home was and how well stocked the kitchen (and the rest of the house) was. We would find things in the cupboards and say look at this! We loved it; thank you so much for the quick responses to questions and concerns (we left well loved stuffed animals behind)! We will definitely look for this listing on our next trip to the Leavenworth area!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My group booked this rental for a guys' getaway weekend, and we were very happy with it. The house was exactly as described... spacious, comfortable, and clean, and even bigger than we expected. We enjoyed the views, the fireplace, pool table, air hockey, satellite TVs for watching football, and of course the barbecue. The space is planned out nicely, with the main floor living room, kitchen, dining area, and master bedroom; and with three more bedrooms and a bath upstairs, plus the extra beds and another bath downstairs we had plenty of room for everyone. And the walk-out basement with the game tables, recliners, couches, and extra TV was a good place to play and relax as well. The only thing that would have made it better would be internet/wi-fi, otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. Even so, next time we are looking for a rental house for a getaway in this area, this one will be at the top of our list. The owner was very nice, easy to work with, and prompt with responses to questions. Thanks for sharing your house with our group!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Question on the internet/wi-fi is well-received and duly noted. If we continue to use as vacation rental, internet/wi-fi will be added. There are restraints and reasons we have not committed to internet/wi-fi yet; even so, many have welcomed the isolation from the nether regions of the internet during their vacations. For a guys weekend out, the group did a great job respecting the house and property.

We had two families with 7 kids between us, and we had a blast. The kids played lots of air hockey and pool, as well as played soccer and pickle in the backyard. We liked the 30 minute drive to Leavenworth and going to Oktoberfest. There appeared to be lots to do around the property. And there was more than enough room for all of us. We could have fit another family with 3 more kids! :) Nice, big, well-equipped kitchen. And four TVs, if you're into that. We would recommend this home! My daughters added that they liked the little cubby rooms that are perfect for naps or pack-n-plays.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This was our second year staying here with 5 families! It's a great house for our big group. Every family gets their own bedroom/space. And there are many great little nooks for kids to sleep in :-) The location is great for our cross country ski weekend with lots of options close by. The kitchen area is great and well stocked. The property is very clean and well maintained. Our only complaints were the beds in a few rooms could be a little better but still a great place for our families. The owners have been very helpful each time we have stayed here. We hope to be back next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for great comments. First we heard of the bed situation and agree with the commenters after reviewing. This is taken care of by purchase of new mattresses. We are constantly asking for how to improve the experience. We love these comments. Coming back for a third weekend? Nice.

Our family of ten, two under four and four couples, stayed for a long weekend in January and had the added benefit of snow fall. The house was very clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. The house is large and accommodated our numbers easily. The basement game room gives a great area for overflow activity. A neighbor of Ted and Ruby's even plowed the driveway. That was appreciated! We will keep this property on our list for future fun. Many thanks.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving this year and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house was perfect for our family of 5 but could have accomodated more as there were four extra beds that weren't slept in! Great house for kids with downstairs "game" room fully equipped with pool table, air hockey, tv, etc. And the hill oustide became perfect for the kids to sled on while the turkey cooked in the oven Thanksgiving day! Just a short but very scenic drive into Leavenworth. Went in a couple of times for groceries and to check out the shops but we couldn't wait to get back to the house just so we could lounge around and do nothing! This is a great rental for the price and we would highly recommend it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you! You were nice people. I am glad the weather held up till you were ready to leave. You make vacation rentals a joy for us to share.

We rented this house over the weekend in mid August as a getaway for family/friends. What can I say about the house, absolutely stunning and very tastefully decorated. With a huge backyard, the kids had an amazing time playing football and running around while you enjoy BBQ on the wrap around deck. The basement is completely finished and equipped with Air Hockey, Pool Table, Big Screen TV and PlayStation to play for the kids and adults alike with additional beds and full bath for extra guests. The main floor has a Master Bedroom (King size bed, TV and attached bath), spacious Living Room (with TV) and a huge kitchen with elegant hardwood flooring. The house was spick and span with kitchen stocked with cutlery, utensils, big fridge and details down to salt, pepper and cooking oil. The only drawback is that the house is about 15 minutes drive to Leavenworth or any big store, so pick up some groceries (Heck, you need to drive that much in a city as well to get to a store). There is a Safeway in downtown Leavenworth and Coles Corner Market at Hwy 2 & SR207 intersection. We came prepared with all the food that we would need so wasen't an issue for us. Second floor has 2 bedrooms (Queen size beds) and a den with two single beds and a bathroom. The owners are absolutely delightful and easy to work with. We had a great time at the house and when we were ready to leave the kids were literally begging to stay longer. We will definitely stay again. I do not believe the pictures on the site do justice to this amazing house. It was more room than we needed at a really reasonable price.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Wow! Nice response. There isn't much more to say. We feel winter is even better.

About the owner: We bought the property to snowmobile and store the snowmobiles. Instead, we fell in love with the area and enjoy the summer weekends just as much. In fall, we enjoy the leaves changing. We both work in Western Washington and enjoy the weekends in Eastern Washington. Frequently, we have friends and families use the cabin for recreation. We have also used weekends in the house as fundraisers for non-profits at auctions.
Why the Owner Chose Leavenworth:
We bought a weekend retreat we live in next door; we loved the idea of getting away and enjoying the time away from Western Washington. Ted is an avid snow machiner. We built the vacation rental to sell as a house but the market crashed and we just added vacation rental to help pay expenses.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Sledding, snowmachining, Lake Wenatchee, relaxing, listening to the river in summer, view is breathtaking.
