With Travertine Floors throughout, this Four bedroom home with three full baths is the ultimate in casual luxury. You enter the home through oversized raised panel mahogany doors with leaded glass inserts over a mosaic floor medallion and are immediately struck by the direct view through the vaulted ceiling Living Room onto the pool deck and the canal beyond. This Living Space offers a 50 inch flat panel HDTV. The large kitchen, with granite counter tops and stainless appliances opens up to the Hearth room with a large wood burning fireplace. The Formal Dining room doubles as a Library reading room flooded with natural light. The split and open floor plan has a master suite boasting a second wood burning fireplace, king size bed and en suite bath with jetted tub, oversized separate shower, dual vanities, private privy and walk-in closet. The master has direct French door access to the screened lanai with vanishing edge pool, spa and 3 waterfalls making for a tranquil sanctuary from the rest of the over 2,500 s.f. home. Two bedrooms are designed for couples with luxury linens on queen size beds and private access to adjacent full baths. Bedroom four is great for the kids or golf buddies with twin beds and direct access to a full bath. A queen air mattress with linens is also provided.
The canals are teaming with wildlife including many game fish. Dolphins and Manatee in search of food migrate up the canals and have been spotted frequently in the canal.
Activities include Kayaking the canals and lakes with the Chiquita house Kayaks and equipment just out the back door. Shelling at Sanibel or Captiva is only 30 minutes away. Fun in the sun and souvenir shopping are only 30 minutes away at Ft. Myers Beach or 15 minutes to the Cape Coral Beach. The pool and spa are just steps away.
Nearby Matlache’ offers antique shops and art galleries just a short drive away.
The summer homes of Ford and Edison and museums are only minutes across the Caloosahatchee River.

You certainly have a nice home and we enjoyed our stay in Cape Coral. There were a few things however I need to mention to you that were not so perfect.. The beds in the master and bedroom off the pool were extremely high off the ground. We had our elderly parents there and my father and mother in law actually had to leave on Wednesday morning because she could not negotiate the bed without help and had to keep waking her husband up during the night to use the restroom. She actually broke down and cried because of it and they were forced to leave. My mother,94,didn't enjoy it either but she did it. Here is the rest of the list: The racks for toilet tissue were empty and we had to buy some right away along with kleenex; even cheap rooms come furnished with these. There were no table knives or blender. The tv in my mom's room shuts off every 5 seconds. I put the other tv in their as she is used to falling asleep each night with the tv on. Well, there was no remote and she couldn't use it. My wife actually washed your front entrance windows and pulled many dead plants from the pool planters. We have had a hot tub at our home for over twenty years and I have never seen one like yours. There were no real jets in it and the way it is heated means it is warm and the pool is cold or the pool warm and hot tub cold. That is a HORRIBLE design! I have never rented a place where it was either or. There were not adequate hangars and one of the adult bikes has a flat tube so we couldn't go biking together. Oh, and the road noise pool side was very unsettling. So, as you can see, the home itself was a showroom but the amenities left much to be desired. If you choose to refund some of the cost I would appreciate it.My wife returned home last night and also commented that the pool pump was loud enough to keep the girl awake on and off all night in the guest room;no dish towels and the music box didn't work either. Sounds like you may want to spend some time there checking things out. I will wait to hear from you. It has now been 23 DAYS with NO RESPONSE from the owner. Not only is he ignoring me but HE KEPT MY DEPOSIT! I am so happy I put it on a credit card and my claim was filed against him today. My husband and I rented this home for a long weekend with family and could not have been any happier with the property. We have rented many homes over the years and this is one of the tops! The presentation is immaculate and has every amenity one would need and then some. The kitchen is the perfect stage to entertain with loads of counter and cabinet space and a view of the pool and canal. There there are plenty of comfortable couches and seating for relaxing. The bedrooms are all very well sized and appointed, bathrooms clean and comfortable and the master suite and bath is particularly lovely. The pool and spa are a perfect size, very clean and beautiful. The lanai is relaxing and roomy enough for our group of 6 adults to grill dinner and have cocktails outside even if it was raining. We rented a boat for a couple of days and toured the canals, Fort Myers Beach and Captiva Pass. Saw lots of dolphins, swam at beautiful beaches and soaked up the sun. Coming back to the refreshing pool after boating was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The home is incredibly convenient to groceries and shops and 30 minutes from Fort Myers airport. We loved the Cape Coral area and will be back! My entire Family stayed at the Chiquita House this summer and we will do so again next year. My husband, myself, three daughters, a son-in-law, and 2 year old grandson all had a wonderful time. The house was very spacious, enough room for the entire family to spread out. The master bedroom and bath were so beautiful, it made me want to renovate my own at home. The kitchen was the central hub, just off the family room with a huge window looking out at the pool and lanai. We used the pool every day and the lanai quite often, grilling out and eating by the pool, what a life. The beaches were easy to get to and we collected many (too many) shells. The owner had left many brochures for restaurants, attractions, etc. that they had visited and even rated them for us! It made for a very easy and relaxing vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great stay a the Chiquita house. Arriving on a Saturday and staying to the following Sunday gave a great chance to sit and relax. The pictures are exactly like the location. In fact it was better. Walking in, everything was clean and nothing was out of order. We had the opportunity to meet the owners while they were leaving and they were very nice and helpful. Gave us great insight to the surrounding restaurants and attractions. All this info was also available in their handy binder. Much appreciated. The home had all the extras a family needed to take a bike ride or go down to the beach. We were never left wanting. One of our highlights was seeing a MLB game and going for a air boat ride. Thank you Kurt to you and your family for letting our family enjoy your home.
