This is a charming cottage with detail and character. It has the feel of an older home made new. The high ceilings, hardwood floors, and wooden stairwell show its style and beauty, and yet it is very clean and newly painted as we just bought the house in 2009. It is most definitely fresh, bright, and welcoming. The house is located off maravista in a family friendly area with children in the neighborhood. The beaches are very close by, less than four streets away. You can just barely see Martha's vineyard from one of the upstairs bedrooms, but from the beaches it seems so close it looks like you can reach out and touch it.

A little more on the area...: It would be a great house for one large family or two smaller families to spend a vacation. There is lots to do in Falmouth, and there are also the islands and other parts of Cape Cod to explore as well. The Falmouth town beaches alone keep us busy for a long time. Biking is a great way to explore the area, and can carry you quite far on the islands, around Famouth, and Woods Hole, for candy stores, ice cream, beaches, and more. Personally we find so much to do in Falmouth, Woods Hole, and Martha's Vineyard, we almost never drive to other parts of Cape Cod.

We had such a great vacation at this house! The house, the neighborhood, the location, all were just perfect. From the minute we pulled up we felt so welcome and comfortable. The renting family even had cold bucket of beer for the grown-up and drinks for the kids to help kick-start the vacation! They've created a book of things to do close by and it even includes babysitting information! The family with the babysitters are right across the street and were so kind to our kids. The house may look small but is spacious and there's a nice family table in the back yard eat outside. We had our 3-year-old and 1-year-old and had plenty of room when the grandparents came to visit for a night. It is a very brief walk to a great beach! And either a good bike ride or short drive to whatever you need at the stores like Walmart, Home Goods, grocery stores and more and then it's a short distance from there to Falmouth Center. We clearly had a great time here and will be back!

"A classic charmer in the heart of Falmouth! Very impressed with the recent renovations and remodeling - felt like a brand new home. Great flow from the kitchen to the dining room and living room. Bedrooms were perfect for our family of six. Martha is extremely warm and friendly and has great insight into the area from her many years at the Cape. We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy Cape Cod. Easy walk to the beach and quick car trip to shopping and sites.
