We had a wonderful stay at the Goodfellow house. There was lots of room for my family and our extended family. The kids LOVED the pool, even though it was a bit cold. We were all excited to possibly stay there again for another family reunion. However, our experience did not end on a good note. They did not give back our deposit. The owners said we had a dog in the house, which was not allowed, and we broke a toilet handle. The toilet handle was already broken and we didn't know we needed to report it. We figured they already knew about it. My brother-in-law didn't know about the No Dogs in the House rule, but upon getting to the house found out about it and the dog stayed outside the entire time. In fact, they cleaned up other dog's poop and doggie bowls and left the kennel better than when they got there. After calling and getting no answer, they gave us a credit. Yeah, like we even want to use it. I'm worried they will just fine us again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time in this house. There were 11 of us and we enjoyed the spacious kitchen and eating area where we could all sit together and enjoy our meals. The deck and pool were wonderful. We were all comfortable and had room for privacy when needed. Great location for visiting area parks. I would highly recommend this property for family and friend gatherings.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We stayed at this beautiful house and loved the views, the pool, the nearby hiking, being so close to two national parks and Lake Powell, and the uniqueness of this house. The house is well maintained and we honestly did not have one complaint. We have two little children and teenagers so it was entertaining for all of us. The house was baby proof, which was nice. The pictures they have up honestly does not do this house justice. I was in awe the first time I saw the house and the property. We will stay here again. Thanks to the owners for the wonderful experience.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This was a really neat house. Are family of 18 stayed here for 4 days very comfortably. The view was awesome you could seen it all from the big windows that let the beautiful sun light in. The only issue we had with this home was the up keep it does need some attention It would be nice to see all it can offer but over all it was great place to stay we would all stay there again . The owners where great we called them about the hot tub not heating but they sent someone right over to fix it. And to the first review on this site there is lots of stairs but they are not bad you only use them if your going to bed or leaving the property. The kitchen was wonderful as you prepared for meals you didn't miss out on family activities it was very large and open to the day rooms and outdoors. The pool was cold at the time of year we chose to go but the kids and some of the adults didn't mind they enjoyed it still. As for not child friendly we had kids from ages 2 years to 19 and we had no issues. the gates on the stairs where locked and the 2 year old was shaking them and never once got them open and he had no problem getting around the rest of the home he easily got around on his own to the sand box (his favorite place to spend the day) and the playground. And the pool is all gated off and if properly locked it is impossible for a small child to open. Nobody should just let there child run wild in someones home so you would keep a close eye on them. I believe if you set boundaries for you little ones that this home is very child friendly . OVER ALL OUR OPINION OF THIS HOME IS GREAT AND WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE IN THE FUTURE. Thanks to the Goodfellows for sharing there home with us. We had a great timeRecommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Holy stairs was the first thought that went through our minds. This house is definitely huge! It took us a good 10 min. just to explore it. The dining area/kitchen was fantastic with lots of room to seat all 40 of us and still be able to move around. The bedrooms were very nice and the house as a whole was nicely kept. There were a few window coverings that had been taken down and stashed in the closets, but not really a big deal as the blinds were still functional. Those in the master don't have much privacy as it overlooks, via an open balcony, the kitchen and pool table area which are directly below it. We really only had 2 concerns. 1. It was a hike to get from the garage (where the parking is) to the door. It was up 1 flight of metal and somewhat icy stairs and then across a patio of 50 ft. where the ice was in abundance. 2. There are 3.5 staircases and 2 ladders total. There is a small stair case that is carpeted in a hallway that was insignificant to us, but the other 3 staircases and 2 ladders gave all the adults nightmares about someone falling through or off them. 2 of the staircases are spiral that do have a locking latch, but is easily opened by any 2 yr. old. They were steep and slippery with no back plate between steps and the spindles were so wide, my toddler could've fit between them. Even the adults walked very, very carefully up and down them. The other staircase, which is pictured, is also steep and without backing between steps. The ladders are in a hallway on the 2nd floor by 2 of the bedrooms. The pool table is accessed by one of the spiral steps and the master is on the 3rd floor, accessed only by the other spiral steps. The ladders which are mostly straight up, are the only access to two lofts that have one twin mattress in each. In total, this house has 6 levels, all of which must be accessed by some sort of staircase!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
