Come visit one of the newest properties in Orange Beach! Phoenix West has it all and more...this spacious 3 bedroom/4 bath unit is almost 2,000 sq. ft. This unit is comfortably furnished with soft earth tone colors. The kitchen is well stocked with top of the line appliances. This unit is unique as it has an electric fireplace. It can be used for just ambiance while curled up reading a good book or as a heater for those chilly nights in the winter. Each bedroom has its own private bath with a bonus added 4th bathroom, so even those folks sleeping on the sleeper sofa have their own private area. There is a king in the master, king in guest (like having 2 master suites!) and 2 queen beds in the 3rd bedroom. A sleeper sofa & sleeper chair are in the living room - entire unit will sleep 11. Perfect for those large family gatherings!! Extra touches like hair dryers in every bath, CD/stereo/radios in every bedroom and flat screen TVs make this unit unlike any other.

We stayed here for a girls trip this past weekend and we couldnt have been more pleased. EVERYTHING was perfect. There is more than enough space throughout the whole condo. Loved the decore also. This is just a GREAT condo in a wonderful locations. Also, as far as dealing with the people who help run this condo and the owners...all have been more than helpful. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience! We hope to be back soon. I'm already looking into dates to bring my family here.

I am typing this on behalf of my in-laws (80 year old snowbirds) who have rented in Orange Beach the last 20 years. They stayed at Phoenix West 2 years ago and everyone loved it so much we decided to come back. We couldn't get the unit we had prior so we thought we would try this unit. My husband & I took our 3 kids down for 2 weeks so I experienced the below issues first hand as well. First of all... you are NOT renting by owner. You are working with VRClub Online which is a company that rents these units out for owners. So don't think you are working with an owner directly like VRBO.com is intended for, because you are not. Because of their 2 month stay, my mother-in-law printed out the address/phone # on labels to send to all of her friends. The phone # given to us by the rental agent was incorrect, so that would be the first issue that caused a few problems and added headaches. No parking pass was given to us for a 2 month stay. Be prepared to pay for this. We also had to ask for a mail key which has always been given at past units, not the case here. When you go to the front desk to report a problem they tell you to call VR Club, not them. They don't want anything to do with you. The Agent @ VR Club never once called my mother-in-law in 2 months to see how everything was. We called her several times to report the issues below: Unit 1605 issues: ~Living room furniture is junk. The maintenance men who were up there repairing other things couldn't believe the condition the furniture was in and insisted on swapping couches so you could sit and not fall through the couch. ~No light above the kitchen table. Impossible to play cards/games at night, etc. ~No blankets on any of the beds. Just a sheet & the quilt. ~Beds were not attached to the frames. ~Washer/Dryer - unbelievably loud & squeaky. Have a white noise machine if you decide to throw in a load of laundry and go to bed. No way you can fall asleep to that racket. ~Leaking kitchen faucet ~Wicker beds & frames in two spare bedrooms are unbelievably loud. Don't try to sneak out to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Be prepared to wake everyone in the room. ~1 kitchen light is missing ~2 broken dressers (legs off) ~For a 2 month stay, all that was in the kitchen drawer was 1 terribly bleached out & stained towel, 1 regular kitchen towel and 1 rag. ~Bring multiple pairs of socks. Carpet is extremely dirty. ~WiFi connection extremely slow. Beach & pool was great fun!

Owner response: This unit has been rented many times and we have gotten very good feedback and repeat guests. We were very sorry to hear of the snowbird's issues and tried to respond as quickly as possible to the issues that were able to be fixed. We help owners who are not in the area to rent their units and can respond immediately to problems. 1. The guest did not request 2 parking passes. When we send out our Welcome info, we ask how many passes the guest will need (we can provide 2). The passes are not free to our company, so we do charge for them, but with no mark up. 2. Mailbox keys are not a given. Many owners live in the area and use the boxes for their personal use. This snowbird never asked if they could get a mail key until they got to the area. We provided one as quickly as we could get it from the owner who lives out of town. 3. Additional blankets were provided within the day of notification. There were additional comforters in the closet if the guests were cold, but they wanted light cotton blankets instead. 4. Maintenance was dispatched as soon as we were alerted of the issues that could be repaired. 5. The furniture issues have been reported to the owner. Apparently the guest wanted the entire unit replaced?????? 6. The Association/Brett Robinson/Phoenix West are in charge of the WiFi. Also the washer/dryer is the standard that was installed in all units. Owner has no control over the performance of these items. 7. The king bed does not connect to the headboard. A different frame was used for the bed. All other beds were attached. Maintenance was not able to attach - unless a new frame/headboard were purchased. Don't know why this made such a difference to the guest. 8. This unit is primarily a spring/summer/fall short term rental - it is not equipped with items for extended (2 month) stays. Our other snowbirds bring additional items they feel they will need to cover their longer stay. After we tried our best to satisfy the guest, which was impossible, the bottom line was that they wanted a discount! Again, we apologized to the guest and her daughter in law. We tried to repair, fix or remedy their requests or issues, but we could not justify giving a discount.
