Kick your shoes off and relax. You've found the perfect hideaway! This large corner unit is newly redecorated and is conveniently located on the ground floor. Furnished with a colorful mix of antiques and Mexican art, Mi Casa del Mar-A5 includes everything you need for a fun and refreshing vacation. Large picture windows span the front wall of the living and dining room with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean. Count the shades of
blue and green as you gaze at the ocean. The living room is decorated with vivid tropical colors, comfortable chairs, and lots of sofa room. Equipped a TV for playing DVDs (bring your own collection) , CD player, books, and games, you'll have all the comforts of home.
The spacious covered oceanfront terrace is well furnished for 'al fresco' dining, relaxing in the chaise lounges, or swaying in the hammocks. Only steps away is a fabulous infinity edge pool overlooking the ocean. All you need is a swimsuit and a smile!
A5 has two large bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people, 4 in the bedrooms and 2 (children) on the large sofas. There is air-conditioning in the bedrooms only.
In the serenely decorated master bedroom, you will find a comfortable king-sized bed, plenty of closet and storage space, safe, individually controlled air-conditioner, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Hairdryers, extra pillows, blankets, beach towels, iron and ironing board are provided.
The second bedroom is cheerfully decorated with Mexican handicrafts and offers a new queen-sized bed and lots of closet space and storage. A conveniently located second full bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom.
The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking light meals a breeze. Equipped with a new refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, blender, juicer, coffeepot, tableware for 10, and purified drinking water. We can also arrange staff to cook delicious local specialties at a rate of $8/person plus ingredients.
They have a special connection with the fishermen for the freshest fish & lobster you've ever tasted. The dining table seats 6 and seating for 4 on the terrace. We think you have the best condo in the unit and up and down the 2 beaches-not that we have seen inside any of the others but the location is perfect, it is beautifully decorated and equipped, and comfortable. Flor is sweet and a hard worker and E or R are around if we need them. We have also enjoyed meeting Tomi. She procured some prawns for us and I think that she is going to join us for dinner tomorrow night. we have managed to get internet from the fellow in the twin unit to yours andahve heard that Vancouver has more snow and sleet so really enjoying our warm bodies here !'

We had a wonderful time staying in Akumal in Mi Casa Del Mar. The building, gardens and pool area are beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. We chose this condo because it had a large patio on the ground floor, so our children had easy access to the pool and we could keep an eye on them. Maria (very sweet) came in and cleaned every day which was a real luxury. The view from the lounge windows was spectacular, all you can see are the rocks in front of the house, the sea and the sky. There were a lot of nice touches in the condo. Maria filled carafes of water every day and placed them next to the sinks so that we could brush our teeth with fresh water. There was lots of interesting art, painting and ceramics, the condo felt like a proper home. There were plenty of books to read and a stack of interesting travel magazines. The kitchen was well equipped too. We met several other people who were renting in Mi Casa Del Mar and without exception they all loved it and came back year after year. It is a special place. The pictures don't do this condo justice. We just returned from a week at Mi Casa del Mar and hope to return soon. This condo is the closest one to the water and you can hear the waves as you sleep. We were able to enjoy the breezes and didn't even turn on the AC's which are in the bedrooms. The patio is amazing for laying on the lounges to watch the sunrise or even doze in the hammock. Our children enjoyed feeding apples to the many iguanas living in the rocks to the front and side of the patio. There is not a beach just to the front but lots of coral to explore (with shoes). It is a short walk along the road to turtle bay which has amazing snorkling with sea turtles. We also were able to walk to turtle bay along the coral around the point. There are great spots to eat both directions from the condo. It is very easy to spend a week even without a car. Having the pool just outside the condo was perfect. We enjoyed being able to relax in the afternoons after our busy morning adventures with the kids. (Be sure to also check out Yal Ku Lagoon just down the road!) Though I loved the beautiful sunrises, I think the ocean colors in the late afternoons were even more spectacular. The condo has great space and even a desk area if you must check emails or work a bit. The wifi was a nice plus as well. Maria comes in to clean each day and keeps things spotless.
