We arrived on Friday night, and awoke to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains, Saturday morning. The light illuminated the brightly colored leaves. We had a fun-filled active weekend through Monday enjoying the Wooly Worm Festival in Banner Elk, and great Hike in Linnville Falls, and a Spooky adventure at Tweetsie Railroad. Even though the excursions were fun, it was so cozy to get back to the cabin, have a couple beers and relax making somemores at the firepit, and enjoying each others company. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with renters.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

The view from the entire back side of the house is breath taking, and it is very relaxing to just sit and enjoy. We planned several exciting excursions in the area while staying at Legacy Majestic View. Christmas was full of peace and joy at Majestic View. We had a wonderful time. The view was amazing. The sun rose every morning waking us to vibrant oranges, purples, reds, and yellows. What a great way to start the day. There was a problem when we first arrived. But once we called Jeannette she did everything to make it right. Things are going to happen, but how we respond makes all the difference. Jeannette responded quickly and made things right. Thank you for helping us have the best Christmas!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family and I have been spending at least a week each summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains for almost 30 years, and this is by far the most beautiful and well equipped location we have tried. We loved it so much that we already have reservations for next summer. While many properties do not live up to their billing, this cabin is just as luxurious, comfortable, well equipped and immaculately maintained as the listing describes. The limitations of pictures on the web cannot do justice to the furnishings and the surroundings. We especially enjoyed the spaciousness of the cabin, and the ease with which we could invite a dozen extended family members for supper and then s’mores over the firepit. The wraparound deck, gourmet kitchen, a truly unique luxury shower in the master suite, the view from inside or outside … it’s impossible to pick one favorite feature. So we intend returning year after year until we can decide!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

Our gang of 4 couples take an annual tubing weekend in Todd. This cabin was absolutely perfect! We had plenty of room for everyone without being on top of each other! The cabin is beautifully decorated and is very convenient to both West Jefferson and Boone! I'd highly recommend it and hope to return! We enjoyed River Girl Fishing Co.'s tubing excursion on Saturday and Hawksnest Zipline on Friday! It was a tremendous weekend and it was made even more enjoyable by working with Jeannette on the rental. She was a dream! A++ experience all around!Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful mid-week getaway at Majestic View! This cabin has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. It is beautifully decorated with an amazing master suite, has Wi-Fi to keep everyone connected, and the kitchen has everything you need to create a great meal. One of the highlights for us was coffee in the morning, on the back deck, looking out over the picturesque valley. In the evening the fire pit with s'mores and stargazing was a big hit. This was our first visit in many years to the NC Mountains and we will return soon! My teen daughters enjoyed exploring nearby Boone as well as zip lining and horseback riding. A wonderful place for a retreat or family vacation - highly recommended!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We love our vacations at Legacy at Majestic View. We usually go hard each day hiking, biking, bouldering, or kayaking during the day to come back to elegance, pampering, and a fun meal at night. The fire pit..smores, etc. is a highlight of the week. I'm an early riser and I enjoy sneaking a few hours of work in each morning in the well equipped loft area. The wireless internet allows me to sneak a little work in before my family of "late sleepers" awake each morning. Many of my best ideas happen in this loft during this "down time" each year when I'm at this cabin! I had fun this time cuddling with my youngest in the reading nook to help him go to sleep. (I fell asleep there too). My wife and I reserve one night to sneak into Boone for a date at a great restaurant. Char has a tappas menu on Thursday nights that is a lot of fun! We take our dog too...she loves the time away too. I want to get my leadership team at my company to come for a business retreat here in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Mark travels a lot with work but longs for adventure mountain biking, kayaking, hiking or anything to do with being outdoors. Jeannette likes to hike, kayak, read, Bible study and revel at the amazing views of the mountains. Our daughter (almost 20) loves adventure and painting. Our son (almost 9) loves shooting bb guns and adventure of any type. He also plays a mean game of Monopoly. Molly (4 yr old) St. Bernard loves the freedom of roaming about but comes back and sleeps the rest of the day.
Why the Owner Chose Todd:
We love the mountains of North Carolina and couldn't think of a better place to make memories with our family. We wanted to create a home that feels like no other, and one that really makes us feel like we have been transported to another place.
We built this cabin to feel different from home, while balancing that with the creature comforts of modernity. We hope you agree we struck a good balance.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Amazing sunrises from the master bedroom and loft. You can open your eyes to something so beautiful then close them to sleep in.
We are far enough away that you feel remote but close enough to mountain town and activities striking the perfect balance.
I love hearing the cows "moo" when the windows are open or relaxing on the porch.
Fun to explore the property around the cabin. Feed the horses and watch nature.
Enjoy the stars and making s'mores around the fire pit.
