This home sleeps up to 17 people in three king-size beds, three queen-size beds, one full-size, two extra long twins and one additional twin. Your vacation will be made as convenient as possible with the inclusion of many extras such as a pool table, foosball table, games, toys, X-box, poker chips for hours of entertainment. Wireless Internet and Cable TV/VCR/DVD in every bedroom and the Great Room!
The front door is level with the large driveway. There is plenty of parking for your group. The five bedrooms of 'The Mountain Haus' are named after the famous mountain peaks that surround the 1800's fur trapper Davey Jackson's 'Hole'. The large entry hallway has a graceful staircase to the Great Room and large 'Grand Teton' master bedroom and bath with king bed, fireplace and jetted tub. The remaining four bedrooms are back down the staircase on the entry level. The 'Rendezvous' and 'Moran' bedrooms are on the left, each has king bed and private bath. The family wing on the right has two additional bedrooms, a shared double sink bath with private access from both bedrooms: The 'Apres Vous' bedroom has a queen over queen bunk bed and separate extra-long twin bed; the larger 'Sleeping Indian' bedroom has two bunk beds: twin over a full sized bed and extra-long twin over a queen bed.
The private hot tub is level with the entry, just a few feet from the front door but set privately amongst the trees.
There is an extensive local library available to guests with Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks information and guidebooks to borrow for your stay. A seasonal Jackson Hole Tourist Information packet is mailed to every guest to enhance the planning of your special vacation.
The kitchen is extremely well stocked and even the most discerning cooks enjoy having most things at their fingertips. No need to buy all the extras like most rental homes: detergents, napkins, foil, paper products, trash bags and more! All linens are supplied and housekeeping upon departure is also included for no additional fee. The house is designed for your family and friends to just come, enjoy and relax!
Reasonable pricing makes it the ideal gathering place for any large group.
The original, south neighborhood of Teton Village is quite compact with a lot of trees and wildlife habitat. In Winter, the main gondola (and new tram) are approximately 3 blocks away, a short ski/walk or shuttle bus ride. The auxilliary Moose Creek lift is even closer. Ski downhill from the Union Pass Lift, along Morley Drive and into Mountain Haus' backyard for lunch or at the end of the day. Many guests like the freedom of a rental car to visit other attractions in the valley, but others rely on the Teton Village Shuttle Bus(which runs until 10 pm) and the Jackson START Bus which accesses the Town of Jackson with its additional shopping, restaurants and bars.

2/27/2009 We came, we conquered. Okay, well maybe 2 of us conquered; some of us did good to okay and a couple of us left conquered, but we all had big cheesy smiles on our faces. Great place for 11 adults to stay. Post skiing/boarding, hot tubbing was the perfect topper to a day. Craziest hot tub memory? One of us hopping in with all ski layers on! Yup, pants, longjohns, socks, sock liners, etc., etc. Does he remember doing it? Not sure. Other highs, or low lights: snowmobiling to the hot springs. Woo hoo! Flying around a big open meadow was the best part. Great snow, lots of challenging terrain. Way too much bacon. Moose sightings. Damn Mangy Moose...bad influence (shots, dancing in ski boots, tromping back here after way too much apres. 11 people; 6 laptops; lots of face booking. Trying to avoid John's video taping. No, we really don't want the incriminating evidence. Thanks for such a comfortable, relaxed stay with all the amenities we needed. September 6 - 13, 2008 The Hughes Family from New Hampshire enjoyed immensely our Wyoming vacation. Mountain Haus was the perfect setting for Nana and Gramps (Jan and Bob's) 45th Anniversary.The Mountain Haus had everything we needed - loved the hot tub and pool! Our two-day trip to Yellowstone was wonderful. We all enjoyed Teton Village, Jackson Hole, the road to Moose, Bear World in Idaho and the spectacular Teton Mountains. This vacation exceded our expectations and we leave tomorrow with some sadness. Fortunately we are going home to an equally beautiful state! Thanks for everything! July 26-August 1, 2008 The Bernhardts We enjoyed your beautiful home so very much. Our 1st morning here we saw two doe in the front yard. Our activities included a 12 hour tour in Yellowstone National Park, a four hour hike between Black Canyon and the Grand Tetons, shopping in Jackson, bungie jumping and the gondola in Teton Village, fly fishing, a two hour float down the Snake River, a terrific night on the chuck wagon and of course the spa on the patio. Altogether we had six kids and six adults. I am stealing a quote but it is so true..... "In life we breath every moment but it is the moments that take our breath away that we will always remember" Thanks again!
