A group of us from far flung places came together here and had a great time. The accommodations were just what we needed and everyone had a good time using this as a home base for our adventures around Jackson. Also, they allowed our furry friend from Calgary to tag along and he definately loved all the wonderful wildlife...even if it meant chasing a cow moose... Everything was just as described and the property is well maintained. The house feels secluded within its forested setting, but you do have a view of the valley from the master bedroom.The interior is comfortable and large enough for a big group to hang together and have enough room to stretch out. The master bedroom is huge! Definately recommend that you call dibs on this room as soon as you book! The kitchen is well appointed and it does have all the utensils and kitchen implements you would need if you would like to cook during vacation. I would happily recommend this property to any sizable group that would like to explore the area!

July 30 - August 5, 2011 We kept saying how perfect Mountain Haus was for our family vacation with 5 adults and 9 kids, plus the grandparents at a nearby Inn (so they could have some quiet occasionally!). We say mule deer, a skunk and a red fox in the yard. The fox was right next to the deer! The kids (and big kids) loved the pool and foosball and Xbox, and also the hot tub. The kitchen and pantry were wonderfully equipped to feed the whole crew. We enjoyed excursions to Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Jackson and fun right here in Teton Village. Thank you! This was our first family vacation....we had the BEST time - your home was perfect for the 13 Lackeys!! We saw the mama moose and her baby our first day. We also saw and doe and her fawn in the same place...the back yard! (How awesome is that?) Did the Snake River white water and horseback riding at Teton Village - lots of shopping and Yellowstone - perfect location! We bbq'd the last night, built a fire in the fireplace and let the kids look for sticks to roast marshmellows - they had a great time. Our family is a precious gift from God and we cherish the times we are able to be together. Those opportunities are rare since we are scattered over 4 states: Minnesota, New York, Virginia and Illinois. The Mountain Haus provided a wonderful place for us to gather once again, with space for all 16 of us. The large upstairs gave us room for meals together, cards, devotions and our now traditional talent show. God blessed us with beautiful weather as we trekked to Yellowstone and on many hikes in the Tetons. We were thrilled to see a bear, moose, elk, an up close encounter with a bison, bald eagles, osprey and many others. We took the chance to fish and raft in the Snake River. It was a full and wonderful week and this Haus provided a comfortable, beautiful base for our family. The house was excellent for 15 of us (6 adults, 9 children). When we arrived after driving across the country (visiting Mt. Rushmore and nearby Yellowstone), the interior of the house was very clean. The exterior is in a more natural state. The house is well-equipped (including 2 microwaves on the interior and the gas grill outside). The kids enjoyed the movies, video games, pool table, and foosball table. While staying in the Jackson Hole area, we went whitewater rafting (Mary, our guide from Lewis and Clark, was excellent). We also did the Bar J Chuckwagon Supper--highly recommended--and the tram ride to the top of Rendevous Mountain (the views from the top are excellent). The kids were also excited that they got to have a snowball fight in July at the top of the mountain. One minor negative with the house--there's only one real living space (although the large master bedroom has a lot of space). Otherwise, it was perfect for our group of 3 families. The owner was responsive to questions before our visit. When we arrived, there were nice touches such as the grocery card waiting for us. We would definitely stay there again if we returned to Jackson Hole.

February 2-8, 2010 Your home was such a wonderful location for our wedding! Wes and I arranged the Mountain Haus reservation so that we could enjoy one of our favorite locations with our close friends. Shortly before our trip we decided we would "tie the knot" up on the slopes. This Friday, Feb 5th, we had a wonderful ceremony at the top of the Gondola overlooking the cliff face behind. We all enjoyed this fantastic house. The large living room was perfect for a catered party after the wedding. Moutain Haus Thanks for a very enjoyable stay. The house became a home almost immediately. The large commons area was a place of much laughter and bonding for our 5 families. 2/27/2009 We came, we conquered. Okay, well maybe 2 of us conquered; some of us did good to okay and a couple of us left conquered, but we all had big cheesy smiles on our faces. Great place for 11 adults to stay. Post skiing/boarding, hot tubbing was the perfect topper to a day. Craziest hot tub memory? One of us hopping in with all ski layers on! Yup, pants, longjohns, socks, sock liners, etc., etc. Does he remember doing it? Not sure. Other highs, or low lights: snowmobiling to the hot springs. Woo hoo! Flying around a big open meadow was the best part. Great snow, lots of challenging terrain. Way too much bacon. Moose sightings. Damn Mangy Moose...bad influence (shots, dancing in ski boots, tromping back here after way too much apres. 11 people; 6 laptops; lots of face booking. Trying to avoid John's video taping. No, we really don't want the incriminating evidence. Thanks for such a comfortable, relaxed stay with all the amenities we needed.
