It all begins when you imagine yourself sitting on the lanai, overlooking the Second green of the River Course at Pelican Sound. Drink in hand, the sun sets on a comfortable day as a balmy breeze whistles by. Upon entering into Pelican Sound, you will first notice the beautifully manicured gated community.
As you wind through the majestic landscaping, passsing the 27 hole golf course, swimming pools, and tennis courts, you finally come to your condominium in Hammock Greens. A handpainted plaque reads "La Dolce Vita" and it truly is "The Sweet Life."
This Non-Smoking First Floor condominium is professionally decorated to entertain a higher standard of living, but has amenities that provide for a home away from home feel. It has two bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen open to the dining area with an adjoining living room and lanai; making it one GREAT room!
At this location you are only feet away to one of the community's five pools and at the same time far enough away to enjoy a very quite and private view from your lanai. The pool area also has several gas grills and tables; you might decide to grill something quick for the evening you stay at home or maybe set the tables to dine with friends al fresco as the sunsets.
A very short walk brings you to the River Club, along with the Fitness center that includes the 2400 square foot main pool and hot tub. This is also where you will catch the Lovers Key Beach shuttle or borrow a canoe or launch your boat.
Another very short walk in the other direction and you're at the lighted Tennis Courts, with a few more steps you'll be at the Pelican Sound Club House where golf can begin with a warm up at the Aqua Driving Range. You can always just stop by to enjoy the lunch or shop at the Pro Shop (there is also one for tennis)and there is always something special cooking for dinner too!
Pelican Sound is just 20 minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers and 20 minutes from charming, historic Naples. It is a five minute drive to I-75 and the Miramar Outlet Mall, minutes away from a wealth of fine restaurants, movie theaters and a constantly changing corridor of new shopping opportunities.
Membership transfer priveleges include all that Pelican Sound has to offer, such as access to the 27 hole championship golf course (with practice facilities and an aqua driving range). You also have full access to the club house and the River Club. The club house has both casual and formal dining, a grill room and bar (with daily happy hour specials), golf pro shop, and men and ladies locker rooms. The River Club restaurant sits poolside and has access to canoes (available to all members), water access for other crafts, and the dock for the Pelican Sound boat shuttle service.
The shuttle service leaves several times a day to Lover’s Key State Park Beach. The boat ride to the beach is beautiful as it meanders through the winding Estero River. The serene trip exits to Estero Bay near Mound Key State Park which was once the center of a vast Native American empire. The vessel finally touches down at Lover’s Key and its name still fits. The beach is beautiful and often times its only visitors are those that came with you on the ship.
