  Just wanted to say that my wife and I had a WONDERFUL honeymoon on the island. The home was great and everything worked without any issues. Also, your DVD collection is amazing! N. Captiva is an awesome oasis and we'll definitely be returning to the island. Thanks,

• A low-stress week on a beautiful island

  We had a wonderful week on North Captiva! It was a terrific experience for all of us and the kids (7, 10, and 13) absolutely loved it. The ocean, the shells, the pool, the dolphins, the fishing, and the sunsets were all amazing. It was about as low-stress a vacation as you can have with three kids! It was our kids' first experience at the ocean and it couldn't have been better. The house was very nice and the rooms were actually bigger than they looked in the pictures. Comfortable beds, video games, internet access, cable tv - there wasn't anything missing. We mostly grilled and so we got a workout going up and down the stairs, but that was okay. The golf carts worked great for getting us around the island. I also did a lot of walking on the paths and beach and it was fun to look at all of the colorful houses on the island. We spent a lot of time relaxing and playing at the beach. I asked the kids one day what they thought was more fun, a week at Disney World or a week at North Captiva, and all three said North Captiva for sure, and I think that says a lot. We went to Captiva on a Just for Fun charter boat one day and that was not our favorite experience. The island was crowded and all those cars really took away from its beauty. We were happy to get back to the peace and quiet of N. Captiva. So avoid that three-hour tour. It's too short of a time to really explore, especially as crowded as it was. The fishing charter through Just for Fun was great, though, and we caught a lot of fish. We also chartered a boat through Native Guides Fishing and the guide took us to see dolphins, manatees, and lots of other interesting things. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the area. We would love to go back there sometime and will certainly recommend your home and North Captiva as a destination for friends and family. Thank you for your help with our trip preparations and for the use of your lovely home.

  The house is very comfortable. The owners have put a lot of themselves into the home, it feels very family oriented. The location is very peaceful and quiet. It is about a 2-3 block walk from the resort and maybe a 10 block walk from the beach because of how the streets are laid out on the island. We look forward to returning again in the future.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  I wanted to let you how pleased we were with our stay at your home. From our arrival until our departure things went well. Your island liason was a pleasure to work with and was extremely efficient. Your home is very comfortable and well appointed. We look forward to future rentals.
