Having travelled to many places across the globe and having stayed at some of the more notable hotels one could envision, they all paled in comparison to this treasure that Glen has tucked away at Cofresi Beach in Puerto Plata. The pictures cannot do justice to the breath taking views and modern elegance the house boasts. The house itself is located on the top of a small elevation and looks down upon all else, spanning a view across the landscape which will make you feel like the king of the world. The house staff are beyond exceptional. They are hardly noticeable yet somehow manage to keep delicious cooked meals waiting, the house spotless and the pools and grounds pristine. I cannot say more than to assure any potential visitor that this place will meet all of your expectations, providing you with a very safe, comfortable and luxurious experience during your stay. It is ideal for all, couples, families, friends. I know I will be returning next year !!

"Eagle Villa is Tops" is more than evocative of its geographical location at the summit of charming Cofresi; it describes the the jaw dropping views of the surrounding mountains, beach and the glittering lights of Puerto Plata and the first rate treatment of guests by the staff and owner of this pristine, well equipped and beautifully furnished villa. Eagle Villa provides a flexible and versatile vacation opportunity. Whether you are solo, with a group of friends or familiy, Eagle Villa has something for everyone - its beatuful, large swimming pools, game room with billiards, darts and table tennis, its big comfortable beds and a discreet and attentive staff that genuinely seems to care that you be pampered and take full advantage of all the amenities this villa offers. The awesome, huge terrace provided beautiful morning sunrises and a night time vista where I was able to relax in comfortable rocking chairs and simply chill out in the cooling breezes while watching the stars (and on a couple of nights a gorgegous full moon). Or you can use the same terrace to crank up the CD player and drink and dance the night away under that same star kissed and moonlit sky. You can have a great vacation without ever leaving the villa. But should you desire to leave the villa (and you might because even the Gods ocasionally descended from Mt. Olympus) you will find beaches, quaint shops and first class restaurants walking distance from the villa. If you choose to venture further, you can negotiate reasonable terms for reliable taxi service into the nearby city of Purto Plata for sightseeing, shopping or a little livelier pace of city living. The owner and his staff are determined to give you a top rate vacation locale. On the rare occasions when things were not perfect, they responded immediately to any reasonable request . I'll be back again and any person reading this review should come for the first time and you'll be hooked too.

we stayed for a week in april and we had a wonderful experience. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the villa was nicely decorated and well taken care of. the pool was in excellent condition. we would recommend using the villa for future vacations.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Eagle Villa this past November 2010. This five bedroom five bathroom villa seated at the top of the mountain boasted grand views of the ocean,mountain sides and of all of Puerta Plata. The staff at Villa Eagle was beyond fantastic as they met our every need.The property was well secured and well kept, The house was clean and the house keeper kept us well fed with traditional Dominican dishes. WOW! I do recommend that you make a stop at the grocery store, prior to your arrival at the Villa. You can pick up all you desire for your stay at the villa. There are many of nearby restaurants and activities such as horseback riding, wind surfing, fishing Eagle Villa's game room. I do not recommend renting scooters as it can be very dangerous. How ever I do recommend the house driver Jose he will take you all around for an additional fee. Hats off to Eagle Villa' s Staff. I wish I was on my way back now! See Ya Real Soon

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Eagle Villa. The property is well maintained, clean and elegantly designed. The interior is open, spacious and beautifully decorated with great views from every room. The Villa sits high on a hilltop with a truly breathtaking panoramic view of mountains, Puerto Plata, beaches, marina,and the ocean. The staff was friendly and eager to help with any concerns or questions and made delicious traditional Dominican food daily. I recommend going to the supermarket before going to the Villa. Puerto Plata is five minutes and Sosua is twenty minutes away by car which has a variety of activities and nightlife. I also recommend getting a rental car because taxi costs will add up quickly. Mr Pearce was very accomodating and made the booking process effortless and easy. He also made it a priority to have 24hr security coverage at the Villa. Between the spectacular view, the jacuzzi, the large pool, and the game room, which offers ping pong, pool, and darts, the Eagle Villa changed my vacation from average to incredible!!! I'm looking forward to returning soon!

This Villa is awesome! The views are amazing, and the staff go above and beyond to satisfy your every request. Glen is very easy to do business with and answered all of my questions timely. We loved the villa so much that we are already planning our next trip. The beach and some local restaurants are within walking distance, but I'd recommend getting a rental car as taxi service is not cheap and trips to Sosua and other Puerta Platta destinations will get costly. Thanks for a wonderful time Glen, we can't wait to come back!

I planned a trip to DR with 9 other friends and came across this villa, along with its sister villa, the Bentley Villa which is walking distance away. The owner and staff were very friendly, helpful and overall, provided top-notch service. The owner arranged for us to hire a driver to pick us up for the airport and we stuck by him all weekend, which was really convenient. Upon arriving to the house, we were blown away by the views and as other people said, the pictures don't do the villa justice. The owner greeted us and gave us a tour of the home and instructions for many of its features. The amenities were great as we used just about everything. The satellite cable also came in great use since we were in town during ML baseball playoffs. Having en suite bathrooms and separate thermostats in each room goes a long way and added to everyone's comfort level. The maids/cook at the villa were exceptional and not only made whatever we requested from a given menu, but also catered to some of us who are vegetarian. There's nothing like waking up in the morning with a freshly cooked breakfast waiting on the dining room table. We arranged for a few nights of dinner, and had plenty of leftovers for late night snacking. Security was excellent as there is a watchman for each villa and I also noticed policemen occasionally driving around the neighborhood. It was easy to book many activities, such as ATVing and we were even picked up and dropped off at our doorstep. Lastly, when we weren't sleeping, a lot of our time at the villas were spent in the pools and hot tubs. Adorning spectacular views of the ocean and island, you can easily spend the entire day relaxing in the water. You'll regret not taking a camera. My only regret was not simulating an MTV 'Cribs' video and recording a tour of the villa. I hope to rent this villa again with my family in the future.

Most memorable view Eagle soars higher than others

What a great experience !!! We spend 7 days at Eagle Villa and loved every second of it! The best view anywhere in the island, stunning beach and Ocean World right underneath. The villa is located atop a very tall hill and is very peaceful. The service people are very friendly and the cook was tremendous, loved every dish she prepared (not sure how good she was speaking English as we speak Spanish and did not interact with her using English). Eagle Villa has top to bottom sliding glass doors all throughout, to your left the Atlantic Ocean, to your right the very beautiful Dominican landscape, lots of hills and green all around. We cannot wait to get back, the most relaxing vacation week I've ever experienced. TIPS: -If you bring kids you need to understand this is not a place where little ones can be left unattended, not even for a second. -We found the taxi cabs from Costambar (about 5 minutes away) were more reasonable (about $20 for a round trip to Puerto Plata's downtown, this included about an hour of their time just waiting for us to finish shopping). -If you go, you gotta visit this great little restaurant called "Los Tres Cocos" the food was delicious, you won't regret it. The place is very well kept, offers a very tropical setting. -Eat something BEFORE you arrive at the villa, it will not be stocked for you, and it will cost you to get back down to eat or go food shopping. -Ocean World is a great attraction specially for those traveling with kids, if you are a Dominican national, they offer a substantial discount (so make sure to take that cedula with you) Is something along the lines of SeaWorld, maybe not on the smae level, but pretty close.

Just got back from staying at the Eagle Villa. I have been to DR 3 times in 2 years, but this was by far the best vacation I have ever had. The villa sits on top of a hill with the best view of Puerta Plata, the mountains, and the ocean. The pool and jacuzzi was great and well kept. The entire staff was excellent, providing cooked meals, daily maid service, and excellent security. Anything we needed they were able to assist. You really feel like you have your own private resort without ever having to leave. If you do leave, everything is within minutes of the villa as it is outlined on this website. Taxi service is available, but we rented a SUV to tour the city and travel to Sosua beach. I will definitely be back again this year!

Six of us stayed at the villa for 2 weeks in January of 2009. We had a wonderful time. The staff did a great job of looking after us. We really participated fully in what the local area had to offer. We went out on ATVs, did the city tour, visited Santa Domingo, went out on a catarmaran, did the Safari tour, went to Ocean World, saw the casino, attended to the Bravissimmo show & went deep sea fishing as well. Six of us stayed at the villa for 2 weeks in January of 2009. We had a wonderful time. The staff did a great job of looking after us. We really participated fully in what the local area had to offer. I just got back from a fantastic stay at Eagle Villa, and it was exactly what I and my party needed. The most perfect vacation I've had thus far. The villa is located at the top of a hill with a lovely view of Puerto Plata and some of its beaches and its location is the ultimate blend of privacy and proximity to everything. The only thing that could possibly have topped the location was the very friendly staff who cooked our delicious meals and cleaned and maintained the villa. I will definitely be returning in the future, as soon as possible.

We were there in August and it was hot hot hot out. But the pool was so refreshingly cool. Our cook was great. She was not the "regular" one, but she was so conscientious and hard working. Always preparing our food or cleaning the villa. We never felt that she was in the way and just always wanted to please us. Ramone, who takes care of the grounds, pool and runs errands if you would like him to was great as well. We always felt safe with our night watchman as well. What a fantastic Villa! My party and I had such a wonderful time during our stay. The views were great, the pool and jacuzzi were fabulous, and the breeze was refreshing. Aleyda, Yanni, and Rafael took care of out every need without delay, and Aleyda can really really cook! This house makes me want to never stay at a resort again. Glen was very nice and easy to deal with, there were no problems with the whole booking process, thanks again Glen!

We rented the villa for 10 days in February of 07 and plan to come back in 08. We had a great time, the villa was very hospitable and we all had a great time. I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a private environment to enjoy.

FAN-TAS-TIC!!!! We just came back from spending THREE WEEKS in this beautiful villa. We were 7: My parents came from Paris and my husband, our 3 kids and I, came from Fort Lauderdale. Glen is very modest in his description and the house deserves all the credit it can get.... the house ....and the housekeepers. If you do your groceries to cook your own things, or look at the "generic" menu available.... you are missing a HUGE chunk of your dream vacation. I just said to Aleida: "Here is what I don't eat, and here is what my kids don't eat... so you have the green light!" What a good idea. She told me what to buy, or I let her go to the local market (you can trust her!) Aleida is the BEST cook ever. Rafael pays attention to every detail of your well being as well, and the night guard is definitely making you feel at ease and safe. You MUST keep in mind that we always experience periods of power failure on all the island, but the generator (if used respectfully.... i.e.:don't leave the fan or a/c on in a room you will not use) covers so well you really don't even notice. The maginificent view, the breeze (never have to use the A/C), the pool, the food.... Glen, you know we will be back! Thanks again from all of us. Oh, and to the next occupant: don;t forget to tip the staff, they really deserve recognition!

FAN-TAS-TIC!!!! We just came back from spending THREE WEEKS in this beautiful villa. We were 7: My parents came from Paris and my husband, our 3 kids and I, came from Fort Lauderdale. Glen is very modest in his description and the house deserves all the credit it can get.... the house ....and the housekeepers. If you do your groceries to cook your own things, or look at the "generic" menu available.... you are missing a HUGE chunk of your dream vacation. I was highly impressed with this beautiful home! My father has stayed there numerous times, and the house and the views were even more spectacular than he described. Unfortunately, we had a miscommunication concerning how long we were supposed to stay and had to leave the house a day early and seek other accomodations. Be sure to keep a copy of all emails when reserving this house. Unfortunately, we won't be staying in this house anymore. I am just glad that I did get the opportunity to stay there once. Alayda and Rafael were wonderful, and it was a pleasure to meet Glen.

I just want to thank Glen for giving us the opportunity to use his wonderful house. We stayed for 10 days, and it was a fantastic time. There were 6 people and not one of us had a complaint! The views are fantastic and the staff makes you feel right at home. The pictures on the web site only give you a taste of what a truly fantastic place Glen and his wife are offering. Glen, I know it's been such a long time since we stayed at your villa (July 12-20th 2006) but I had to post something after thinking back to such a great time we had! For all who are reading this, it was nine ladies total that stayed at the villa during the week. Not only did we fall in love with the villa but we fell in love with Francesca, Aledya, Juan and Yanni!! They not only cooked us great food but the became our friends the ten days we were there! Juan was great in translating things for us. I personally could not stop crying the last day that we were there! I'm looking to come back this summer; though we may not be staying at the villa (there's only two of us going) we loved to be able to meet up with them again..oh and Gabino was awesome..he stopped by occasionally to make sure we were ok and Gus was awesome too!!! I'm telling you..if you plan on going to the Dominican..this is the place to stay! Great place to hold a mini retreat as we did! Glen please tell everyone we said hell! Seriously..

What you see on the website is what you get. Beautiful views, nice pool, and we had nice weather for the most part. The villa staff is very helpful. Aleyda is a great cook and housekeeper.
