  My husband and I stayed at this condo on three different occasions last year (2012). We were there for six weeks (Sept/Oct) on our first visit, 9 days at Thanksgiving and then finally for two weeks at Christmas. This condo was superb. Nicely furnished and very clean. We didn't need to bring anything -- just our clothes. The location couldn't be better -- right on the beach and the amenities at the facility were outstanding. It was quiet --- absolutely no parties, etc.. Check in and check out precedures were quick and easy. The owner, Brian, is extremely responsive and a real pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this vacation rental and we will definitely return!!

  Me and my family had a wonderful time. We just booked again for this year. The location was central to the two pools and the beach. Unit was well decorated and clean. The kids loved the slide and I loved the hot tub. Brian is very helpful with booking. LIke I said we are going again this year.

  If how long it took me to write a review is indication, my family has a very busy and hectic life so a vacation was definately needed. This location was amazingly relaxing with just enough stuff to keep our 3 yr old entertained. The condo was very nice and clean and believe me, I'm extremely particular when it comes to cleanliness. We loved this place and hope to return as often as our schedules allow. The owner, Brian, was also very helpful and easy to work with.

  We recently returned from vacation at Brians property at A Place at the Beach. What a wonderful experience. Brian was helpful from the get go. He answered all of my questions and put me at ease as this was my first vrbo rental. We arrived to find the unit exactly as advertised. The unit was neat and well stocked. There were a varity of movies, books and games in the unit to suit any taste. There were boogie bords, beach chairs, umbrellas and a few beach toys...boy does that save a big hassle to not drag those from home. Also, I was pleased to find dish soap and dishwasher detergent as well as TP and papertowels! The complex ammentities were great too! We were literally steps from the beach, indoor and outdoor pool as well as both gas and charcoal grils and the couryard with playground. Everything was clean and well maintained! The Beach was spectacular...nothing but beach for as far as you could see...and tons of shells. Fort Macon was amazing and just 2 minutes away. We also visited the Aquarium, Beaufort, Shackleford banks, Morehead City, and the Maritime museum...everything was within a short drive and well worth it. We mostly ate at the condo and had everything we needed to prepare meals with ease...we did enjoy Amos Mosquitos (very accomodating to the kiddos) and Fins. The diner just down the road was descent too. I highly reccomend this unit at A Place at the Beach. I can honestly say it was the most relaxing and fun vacation my family has had. There trully is something for everyone here! Many of the guests we met have been coming back to A Place at the Beach year after year. Although it may not be next year we will be back. This condo is worth a repeat visit!

  The pictures are exactly what we found upon arrival, steps to the beach, pools, and grills. We felt the condo was well maintained and clean. I would recommend this condo to friends. I would also recommend trips to Historic Beaufort and ferries to Shackleford Island. Ferries to Lookout Lighthouse can be found out of Harkers Island. All very inexpensive and seeing the wild ponies was incredible. We saw dolphins just off the beach! Amos Misquotes was a great restaurant but our favorite turned out to be Queen Ann's revenge in Beaufort. Be wary of the pirates!!!

  My overall experience at this property was excellent. The owner proved to be very professional from my first inquiry about the property all the way through to the prompt return of my security deposit. The condo had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. The facilities at A Place at the Beach where very nice. We did not use the outdoor pool during our stay during Thanksgiving, but the indoor pool was nice and the outdoor hot tub was very relaxing. The beach in front of the complex was wide and clean and Fort Macon State Park was just a short drive from the condo. You could actually see the sign designating the boundary of the park from the beach in front of the condo. I would recommend this condo to my friends.

  Loved our trip to A Place at the Beach III and our stay in this condo! Brian was great to work with and the condo was perfect for our family of 5. It had everything we needed! Great location within the complex. We really liked Atlantic Beach and how low-key it was. Not as commercialized as some of the other beach vacation spots. The grounds were beautiful! Loved both pool and the beach. Great views on the beach of both the sunset and sunrise. Grocery stores only about 8 min away. Propane grills were great! Perfect chance to meet others staying in the complex. Loved that the indoor pool was right next to them so that the kids could swim while we cooked. We would most definitely stay here again!! We only ate out twice...McCurdy's was AMAZING! Great sunset views from their back deck! The seafood buffet was ok (not bad, just nothing special)...a little disappointed that it did not include crab legs... We visited Fort Macon - Our son loved it. Great place to tour; Maritime Museum in Beufort - our daughter loved the Blackbeard exhibit. Both places were free too! Also took the kids to the Aquarium in Pine Knolls (just south of Atlantic Beach) and really enjoyed that as well. They have some nature trails that we started to walk but got attacked by mosquitos.

  This is a great place to stay. So comfortable and well stocked! The condo was clean and cozy. All the comforts of home and all the fun things you need for the beach. The locaton of the unit within the complex was ideal! Just a short walk to the pool, the ocean and the grill. :) The staff at the place at the beach was also friendly. Our boys loved the water slide as much as they loved the waves in the ocean. The putt putt golf course that was free to use was one of their favorites as well. This was our families first time renting with VRBO and we know we hit the jackpot. Thank you Brian for all you do to maintain such an amazing and relaxing place to visit. We hope to be back soon!

  Super Condo - while there I was able to see several other units, and was very glad we stayed in this one, much nicer furnishings, updated with all that you need. My kids age 4 & 5 loved the water slide and the pool and the beach. Has all that you need for a great vacation.

  My stay at "A Place at the Beach" was just great! Not only is the beach awesome, but dealing with the owner of this condo was so easy. He accommodated any special requests I had and always answered me promptly. The condo is perfect for a family to enjoy the beach. Anything you need is there and the unit is clean and up to date. Nice pool and Atlantic Beach was great! I will definitely go back and rent from Brian again.
