  This is our second time to stay at Beach Buddy and we had a great time! The house has everything you could need and we love it! We hope to make it an every other year event! The grandkids are young so the pool was great to have for them. The owners are wonderful and very helpful whenever you need anything or have questions.

  We have rented many homes in this area over the last few years and found Beach Buddy to be just perfect for our needs! There were 7 of us ( plus an unborn grandson ) - 6 adults and a 5 year old ! The home presented a place for all of us to be together, yet also give us a place to have some quiet time. Everything we needed was in the home and I teased them because we had such a beautifully stocked kitchen, yet we ate out every evening ! With the location close to so many great places to eat - it was very easy! Took our grandson on the Pirate Ship Cruise, Gulfarium and another boat ride. Also spent time at seaside, Pier Park and Baytowne Warf ! Spent time every morning at the beach ( saw 2 sea turtles + dolphin ) and then time in the pool at Beach Buddy! The home is well furnished from beach equipment to comfortable beds to everything to make it home for the week! My grandson loved having a TV in his room tuned right to the Disney channel. Owners were very hospitable and quickly answered any question we had ! You can tell they are committed to making your experience one to remember ! After a week a Beach Buddy, the only problem was that we had to leave !!! My grandson had such a great time he made up a song about Beach Buddy!!!!

  Beach Buddy is located in the perfect spot -- not in the tourist-packed Destin and not in the slightly-less-packed, but expensive location of Seaside, but instead conveniently within driving distance of both. Beach Buddy is just a short walk away from a beach with the following advantages: 1. Lifeguard on duty 2. A place to rinse off sand (my favorite!) 3. Public restrooms 4. Not a lot of people 5. We saw DOLPHINS playing in the ocean (including jumping) for 45 minutes-1 hour Beach Buddy itself is well stocked with beach equipment, pool toys, chairs, kitchen supplies and equipment, towels, etc. Just about everything you'll need is already there! The layout of the house provides privacy, while also offering places where your whole group can gather. We gathered mostly next to the pool :) Other highlights: 1. The pool was a great size if you have smaller kids -- large enough for our 5 kids and a couple of adults to play, but it was small enough that if there had been a problem, we could be there to help in a second. The pool also had some shade and some sun all day, so people could watch the pool fun in their preferred setting. 2. The yard around the house is a park-like setting. We enjoyed going around and photographing the pretty flowers and plants right outside our door. 3. The kids liked the ice cream truck that drove by around 6:30 each night -- a huge novelty when your kids live in the country! 4. Conveniences in the house itself, like the individual lights over each bunk in the kids' room, the outdoor shower to rinse off any sand missed at the beach, the large closets with clothes hampers, comfortable beds, and TVs in each room.

  This was our first visit to the Destin area, and Beach Buddy was a great home away from home! Steve was very helpful from the first time I called him about renting the property. He responded to emails anytime I had a question and he gave great advice about things to do and places to eat. The house was exactly as described, very comfortable and clean...well maintained. We had 2 families including 4 adults, 6 teenagers and 2 preteens. We had plenty of room. We did have a plumbing issue with the lower bathroom, but one phone call to Steve and the problem was fixed the same day! Just another example of his attentiveness. The beach was a short and easy walk down the sidewalk, and the pool was used quite a bit by the 8 "tweens" and teens in our group. We also enjoyed time on the decks and naps in the hammock! I would recommend Beach Buddy to other families who are looking for a comfortable vacation place to call home in Santa Rosa!

  We enjoyed our family vacation at Beach Buddy during the week of July 4th. The beach home is in great condition. There was plenty of room for our family of 11 people. The owners seemed to have thought of just about anything you could need or want. I did pass on to them that they need a larger cooking pot to make a Seafood Boil in. Other than that, can't think of anything else needed. The home is convenient to anything you could want to do in the area, also.

  Beach Buddy is a great place to spend a week at the beach, my family (10 adults and 6 children) loved the Beach Buddy home. Had all equipment: games, tv's, cooking utensils, excellent pool, beds are great for sleeping, perfect area for indoor and outdoor dining....just great. Short, pleasant walk to the beach, close to good restaurants, sea food markets, shopping and a beautiful beach. Thanks to the owners, we had a week in Florida that we will never forget. We absolutely have no complaints and highly recommend this home for a wonderful week on the beach.

  Our family of 10 traveled from Oklahoma and Texas for our week at Beach Buddy. It was so worth the few extra miles to Santa Rosa. The beach was not as crowded, nor was the rental as expensive. The home is wonderfully maintained, clean and spacious. Each room is exactly as pictured. We had shopped for a rental extensively online and contacted the owner about Beach Buddy. He was very patient with my several phone calls and emails. He was helpful with directions and information about local grocery stores, restaurants and activities. Making the reservation was painless. We shopped for groceries several times and had most of our meals "at home". This was easier for our family, as we were traveling with three toddlers, The kitchen is super well stocked. Daughter and her husband had dinner at Stinky's Fish Camp and said it was wonderful. Our outings were limited, as well, with the babies. Son-in-law played golf at Baytowne Golf Club and had a great afternoon, Part of the family visited the Museum at Eden Gardens State Park. Interesting! Some of the family went into Destin to play mini golf. We had professional pictures done on the beach one morning. The turned out beautifully! The most memorable times were spent down at the beach, playing in the sand and surf. The sand is white and sugar fine. The water was crystal clear and warm. The beach is only a short block and a half walk through a residential area. There are no busy streets to cross. Nice! Pool time, in the private pool, was also wonderfully refreshing. Walks on the beach are relaxing and rejuvinating. Most of the family went on a nighttime crab hunt. Fun! The decks were wonderful for having morning coffee and hanging out. The kids really enjoyed playing in the grassy backyard in the early evening. Time was enjoyed indoors playing games, watching movies and napping. Awesome! The entire family would recommend Beach Buddy (and the owner) to anyone who is looking for a wonderful rental. You will not be disappointed. We are already talking about a return visit... maybe 2 weeks next time??? A Grandma can dream!

  We spent spring break this year with our grandkids at Beach Buddy in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida. The weather was great, just enough rain to prevent sunburn! The Beach Buddy home was awesome! Lots of room and well maintained. The house is just a short walk from the beach and the walking/bike trails. The kitchen at Beach Buddy is very well equipped. We ate in most evenings and found all the utensils, dishes, pots & pans, etc. that we needed. We went to the beach every morning and then spent the afternoons in the pool. Having our own pool to use at the house was excellent! Our 3-year old grandson said his favorite thing about the house was the outdoor shower. He thought it was the coolest thing and that every house should have one! The house is laid out very well. There is plenty of room for together time, but also lots of "quiet space" for reading or just relaxing, The bedrooms are spacious and the combination of king, queen, and bunk beds worked well for our family. Four full baths also came in handy for our large group. We took advantage of the great seafood at Goatfeathers just across the street a couple of times. If you don't mind a little drive, the garlic knots at Bruno's are amazing! Beach Buddy was all that we hoped for in a vacation home and we would certainly recommend it.

  Had a great time in your beautiful home. My wife and I had traveled to Pensacola a few days before where we stayed in a hotel. Our children and grandchildren came down to surprise my wife on her birthday. They arrived the night before and we came in the next morning. I had explained that an old army buddy had a home on the beach and I just wanted to see how he was doing. She didn't suspect a thing and was quite shocked when the kids came spilling out the front door. We had one good day on the beach before Tropical Storm Lee arrived and put a damper on things, but we still enjoyed the beach - just couldn't go into the water. The lifeguard did direct us to a tidal pool and our 14 year-old granddaughter found a baby sea turtle and released it, thereby saving its life -we hope. Great house made for an awesome time and wonderful celebration. The location is perfect, the pool was a big plus and we spent a lot of time in the wonderful kitchen. Had a great time and are most appreciative of your beautiful home which was spacious and accommodated a family of 16 ranging in age of 3 to 70.

  Beach Buddy is perfect for our extended family of 8 adults and 7 children ages 2-9. Close to the beach, well equipped both inside and out (grills, beach toys, chairs, wagon, coolers,etc.), light and airy, very clean, attractive, etc. The pool is great for our young ones and the pool enclosure sets adult minds to rest. We even walked the little ones out for pizza during their parents' "date night"! Love the many decks and the double bunk room downstairs! Owners are extremely easy to work with. We've already booked for next year!!
