Thanks Jerry for providing a great place to stay, the house was clean, warm and had all the items to make our stay very enjoyable. With four large bedrooms upstairs and extra rooms in the basement we all had large rooms with spare rooms to have an extra friend to stay for a night. Its location is ideal to access all of the ski fields that Salt-lake has to offer with no more the 1 1/4 hrs travel to the Cottonwood canyons or less if you visit Parkcity or Powder Mountain :-) Oh and the Spa was a treat for our punished body's. I would recommend the house if you want to base you self in a house, cook a few meals or eat out. The supermarkets are close by and main part of Ogden is just down the road. Looking forward to rebooking for next year.

The house was amazing. We had a blast, there were 16 of us and never once did we feel crowded. The only knock I had was that the Broncos didn't show up for the game either way it didn't affect our party mood

Six of us stayed here. We came to ski like we do every year. Plenty of rooms, very good kitchen that is well stocked for cooking. TV, music selection was excellent and the pool table is a nice extra. Hot tub and a smoking deck made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everything we needed was here. Jerry is great to work with and it is a beautiful house.

There were 17 of us that rented this house for a week and we were very pleased. The number of beds and bedrooms worked out beautifully! All of the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for all of. We really appreciated all the extra's in the kitchen. We were able to have gourmet mealsand never once had to worry about missing things to mae the meals. You can tell the house is well taken care of. The only thing I would suggest is that the upstairs hall bathroom needs a shower curtain that is longer and better designed. Anyone who showered there needed to be very careful about how they showered so they wouldn't get a lot of water on the floor. Other than that we loved it and would gladly rent it again.

Family Reunion and Wedding in Ogden Area
Family Reunion and Wedding in Ogden Area
We had a wedding for our son in Bountiful, so our children wanted a place to stay and be together while still having separate rooms for their children to sleep in. The Browning House was perfect for our needs and reasonably priced. The kitchen and great room were great for gathering. The backyard was good for letting out energy and a barbeque dinner.

Wedding week in Ogden
Wedding week in Ogden
We rented this house for Wedding week for our family and friends which included 12 adults and 4 kids. Venue was perfect for our events which included having the rehearsal dinner. Favorite in the morning was coffee on the back porch. Jerry was very helpful with providing tables, outdoor lighting and lawn care to host a great rehearsal dinner for 45 on the patio. Furnishings, linens, cookware were more than adequate. Thanks for a great week

The Browning House in Ogden
The Browning House in Ogden
It was great! We were in Ogden for a family reunion. My wife and I, four married kids with their 13 children. Everyone thought the beds were very comfortable. The house is a little over one hundred years old and a historical treasure. Jerry has done a great job of restoring it. But like all old houses, it is still an old house with creaky floors etc. which adds to it's charm. My eyes are almost as old as the house, so the lighting could be a bit brighter. If I were to make any recommendations they would be: 1. show a floor plan of the home, because the photos do not do justice to the [place, and a floor plan would let people visualize it better.2. Fix the lighting so that every room is a bit brighter. Having said that, we would recommend this place without hesitation, and if we can find a reason to be in Ogden again, we will be staying there. One more thing, Jerry, the owner is a great guy and very accommodating.

My sister in law rented the house for a family reunion, We had it full to the max. The sheets on the bed are defiantly well used. The bed we slept on the sheets kept coming off. that makes for an uncomfortable night. No paper towels we searched the house for them none to be found. The house was surface clean, It could have used a good cleaning by a professional cleaning crew not the property manager and her fiancé (that is who we were told cleaned the place). Clean the front porch off it was so dirty covered with cobwebs. It just needed to be sprayed off this a hose,. The kitchen was great, but could use more chairs at the table in the "breakfast nook" 2 chairs and a stool didn't cut it. We had a great time with our family and the home met our needs as far as number of bedrooms/beds and bathrooms. over all I would give it a 6 out of 10.

Owner response: Some reviews are harder than others for us to address. And this is certainly one of them, especially where the reviewer states the house was clean but then implies it wasn’t clean enough. Let me point out that this group booked Browning House for 12 adults and 4 children, but they showed up with more than 40 members of their party. Browning House is spacious, but it cannot accommodate groups that large, and had they been honest about that fact we would have encouraged them to find accommodations elsewhere. Sheets: We use high-quality 500 thread-count linens that are rotated out every four months. Older linens are rotated to “backup” stacks set aside in the laundry room where the guests can use them in emergencies. We cannot be certain if the complaint was directed at backup linens, but the eight primary beds are all fitted with newer, top of the line linens. Of the hundreds of guests who have stayed here, we have never heard of sheets coming off. Breakfast Nook: This area is small and space is limited to two or three people. Two or three chairs seem sufficient for two or three people. Cleaning Crew: The digs at our property manager and her cleaning abilities were inappropriate. The property manager is a professional housekeeper who owns her own business with a staff of four that work high-end properties across northern Utah. Housekeeping is her primary profession. She manages Browning House as a favor to us in addition to her other business responsibilities. Outside Cobwebs: Browning House is situated on almost a half-acre with mature trees, shrubs, flowers and other foliage. During the summer season, spider webs are a fact of life. Spray them down one day and they are back the next. The concrete patios are sprayed down before each guest arrives. We focus our efforts on keeping the spiders outside of the house. Paper Towels: Upon check-in, each group is provided a Costco double roll of paper towels, 16 double rolls of toilet paper, two cleaning sponges, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap and a large bag of ice in the freezer. This is sufficient for most groups, but when the group size exceeds about 20 then we expect the guests to make their own supplemental purchases to accommodate their larger groups. We do not charge extra for the larger groups (but maybe we should start).
My family and I stayed the weekend in this house and we couldn't have been happier. Everything you need, I mean everything, is there. There is extra towels, toilet paper, soap, blankets, dishes, even all the spices and baking supplies you can think of! I was so impressed with this house! The price is so low for what you get, this is an amazing deal! It is the best of both worlds, it is older, but with just the right upgrades to make it modern. The house has so much history and character, but you aren't left feeling like you're in an old house because of the upgrades. Huge flat screens, lots of movies and books, 3 living areas to relax in, plus the patio is amazing with a fireplace and the hot tub! Wow! We stayed in the summer, and it was pretty warm, and the swamp cooler worked great! We are from AZ where we are used to A/C, but it was so cool we didn't notice! We will be staying again, and I would recommend this house to anyone with a family that would like to stay together.
