This was our third long stay at this property. As aways the owners did not let us down. It is very well maintained and my worry had always been that over time it would get 'tired' , as many rental properties do. Not this one, it is meticulously kept up and each time we return the Owners have added something new. This is a beautiful property, perfect for a family or group of friends, lots of outside living space and, fabulous kitchen and enough room for everyone to find their own space. We will be back for longer next time. We stayed at this property in Old Las Palmas for New Years 2011, and it was a 5-star experience. The house has a great layout for family and guests, and it is BEAUTIFULLY decorated. Seriously glamorous! The photos truly do not do justice to how spectacular this property is. The pool & outdoor entertaining area really feel like a 1950's Hollywood set, with a beautiful pool and lots of chic seating. The kitchen and great room in particular have the "wow" factor, including oversize vintage Hollywood photos. The owners took care of the little things too, including top-quality beds and linens. The Old Las Palmas location was perfect for us -- very quiet on our street, but we were very close to the restaurants & shops in Palm Springs, with easy access to all the things we like to do in Palm Springs. The owners were only a phone call away to answer our few questions, and are very gracious & helpful hosts. Our family & guests thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home, and we would recommend it without any reservation. We'll be back again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our family stayed here for the holidays and loved the location which is within walking distance to downtown PS and a variety of wonderful restaurants. The house with 2 cabanas is perfect for older kids and offers privacy for a group stay. We loved the pool/hot tub with mountain view- that was our favorite spot! The front yard also affords amazing mountain views and has a wonderful fire pot to keep you warm while enjoying the stars. Would definitely recommend this property for "girls trip" or family gathering.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

We rented long term for 5 weeks and it worked great. The Owners were the most accomodating people we have ever worked with. Fabulous Kitchen, lots of space for visitors. We have booked again for next year. We have stayed in places over the years were the owners let things get 'tired' but these owners are so involved and care about their property that we are very confident the high standards we had this year will continue. I booked this property for my bachelorette party the first weekend in June of '10. It was AMAZING! The location was fantastic, the property was beautiful and well-stocked, and the backyard was simply perfect. I can honestly say that the photographs don't do the property justice. My girlfriends and I had planned to go out every night to various places, but after seeing the home, we just didn't want to leave! I can honestly say that this is my new favorite vacation spot---- and I've stayed at fancy hotels all over the world. I can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Three generations of our family spent a truly wonderful week at the Metcalf's beautiful home. We could not have found a better place. It offers the best of everything in the way of home furnishings and equipment as well as total privacy and quiet. It is located in a beautiful section of old Palm Springs and walking the neighborhood is really delightful. There are also 4 beautiful bikes available for those who like to bike the area. Joshua Tree National Park is close by for those who like to climb and hike and is a truly unique place to visit. The owners are extremely helpful if you have any questions and they have a home you cannot help but enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I stayed at the Metcalf home in Old Las Palmas last June. The home was perfect for my five girlfriends and myself. We definitely could have fit more people in there-- but it was VERY spacious for the six of us. The pool was amazing--it was private, quiet, there were misters to keep you cool.. the kitchen was amazing (it is now my dream kitchen! It has EVERTHING YOU WOULD EVER WANT AND NEED!)...the bedrooms were fantastic--the beds were sooo comfortable and the rooms stayed nice and cool..It was also decorated very stylish and modern (yet comfortable) and I felt special staying there! I can't think of one thing that I would change! There are a lot of vacation rental homes available in Palm Springs. Don't look any further! I know I won't! I'm going back to stay at the Metcalf home next May!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Palm Springs! This home was perfect for a relaxing week in the desert - ideal location, excellent home, perfect amenities - was ideal for large family and multiple families. Great swimming pool. Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at your charming home! We loved riding the bikes to quaint downtown restaurants, shops & touring the local neighborhood with all the old Hollywood celebrity homes. Our large group really appreciated the cabana suites and spacious rooms. The decor is beautiful, with every detail attended to. The kitchen was perfect for entertaining and I'm still thinking about floating in the pool, looking up through the palm trees at the blue sky, something we don't get this time of year in Ohio. The place was MAGNIFICENT!! We rented the home for 4 nights where we met up with an old group of school mates for a weekend of sun, golf, tennis, great food and relaxation. Each of us was able to have our own private rooms and the layout was perfect for our "boy’s weekend away". Everything was so convenient and close. It just simply could not have been better. We played golf in the mornings, relaxed by the pool in the afternoons, played some evening tennis, dinned in the finest of local restaurants’ and ended each evening remembering old stories growing up together relaxing in the spacious hot tub. This place really has it all. For the "boys weekend getaway", family vacation, to the corporate get-a-way where entertaining is a must. With a large oversized kitchen and separate sunken wet bar off the living room. It truly has it all and you will find you never want to leave. 5 Star for sure.
