This is definately the best vacation house we ever rented. The house was clean and very well maintained. Hunter mountain ski area is about an hour drive from here where we went skiing, tubing and zipline. It was a great vacation and the house provided the perfect setting. The huge windows, the well equipped kitchen and the master bedroom were the highlights. The home owners Seth and Leslie answered all our queries promptly and were very accomodative with our crazy timelines. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us and we hope to see you back in summer.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had our honeymoon here and it was perfect! A great place to relax, enjoy nature, and be quiet. Such a beautiful home. We love to cook, and the kitchen had everything that we needed. They have a wood burning stove! When we felt like venturing out, we had some great hikes and visited some really cute nearby towns. Seth and Leslie were great hosts, set us up, and were there for us if we had any questions. We would highly recommend staying here.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a wonderful setting in this lovely house over the Memorial Day weekend. We went with our four children, ages 12 through to 1 years old. We loved the easy access to the river, and the fact that the boys could fish any time they wanted. We also loved the quiet, the beautiful and well-kept gardens allowing the kids to run around barefooted, the firepit for nightly marshmallow roasting, the hammock for reading and relaxing, and the outdoor table and grill for dinners. The house was perhaps a little small for all of us (three adults, 4 children) but the kids all found a place to sleep comfortably. We never turned on a television but appreciated the internet access, the big kitchen and the washing machines. The owners were very helpful and easily available throughout the rental process. We hope to return soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I booked Seths house for the weekend to gather a bunch of friends who don't get to see each other very often and got FAR more than we expected. From the start Seth made us trap very at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The river is literally right there! We drove our car river to go tubing and landed right into the HUGE yard to a grand patio ready to grill. The kitchen was perfectly clean and had everything we could have needed down to a meat slicer! I couldnt recommend more highly staying at this house. Sitting around the largest fire pitt I've ever seen, playing ball in the giant back yard, fishing, swimming and rubbing on what feels like your own private river. We are definitely doing it again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

There are some funky things on the property, none of which ultimately detract from the overall experience. For example, the dishwasher is badly out of line, meaning one must open the dishwasher to open the silverware drawer. A few windows did not operate properly. A high hedge separated a seated viewer in the living room from the river. All in all, however, a wonderful experience. The house was clean and nicely appointed, the location, magnificent. Loved the multitude of birds of many colorful species visiting feeders outside the breakfast nook. Seth, the owner, is extremely friendly and helpful, and made himself available 24/7 for any questions or problems. We would of course recommend this woody enclave to friends and relatives without reserve. Seth did recommend a very good grocery store in Binghamton for us to stock up (Wegman's), that satisfied our culinary needs.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed in this East Branch house with our two young children, and we had an amazing time. Our kids took to calling it the "Beaver House" (because it's on the Beaverkill River), and two months later, they still often talk about how fun the Beaver House was. The house is spacious, with huge windows offering breathtaking views of the water and landscape, but feels quite cozy and welcoming at the same time. The beds are very comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans/etc, and the owners are extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make sure the drive was cleared (it was very snowy when we were there), for example, and even made a special trip back to put childproof locks on the kitchen cabinets. The house was immaculate, everything worked perfectly. Not only would we highly recommend staying here, we hope to do so again some day. This is a beautiful, homey, clean and roomy rental nestled in a gorgeous part of the Catskills. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had such a comfortable stay at this lovely, well-appointed home, situated right on the river. We wish we could have stayed longer, as we had only planned for a weekend. The bedding was truly sumptuous, the jacuzzi, welcoming, the kitchen was well-organized and fully supplied with high-quality equipment. The owners were so accommodating and the property was rustic yet artistic, with generous and well-equipped entertaining spaces. We will return, no doubt, without hesitation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Roscoe:
This secluded yet conveniently located home on 3+ private leveled acres of woods is just over 2+ hrs. from NYC. Private Beaverkill frontage on renowned river is perfect for fly-fishing and kayaking. We are located in Catskill nat'l park where great hiking trails are only 10 minutes away. It is not a highly populated area so you feel like you are getting away from it all, yet you are close enough to all modern conveniences such as the movie theater, bowling, supermarkets and restaurants if you so chose. The topography is beautiful here in Upstate NY.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The river is at your doorstep and the privacy provides a feeling of tranquility. Breathtaking scenery and wildlife. Wonderfully landscaped with great views from every room in the house whether mountain, river, or woods. At night, sit by a bonfire down by the river or relax in the living room in front of the fireplace. The river is so clear and clean it is a pleasure to cool off in. Bird watch from the breakfast nook as you drink your morning coffee. You will feel very relaxed and comfortable here without giving up any amenities!
