Here are some pictures of my Condo in south central Phoenix in the suburb of Ahwatukee, beside Federal land called South Mountain Park. The view is spectacular and is very unusual compared to many properties in Phoenix, where your neighbor’s wall/window/parking spot was the main view. This view shouts "ARIZONA"! It is in the western end of Ahwatukee; off Chandler Blvd. Ahwatukee in a very upscale district of south-central Phoenix, 20 minutes from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX) and 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix, both via Hwy 10.
It is my dream place to get away from harsh Canadian winters without having to retire yet. I will have two sets of golf clubs, two bicycles with helmets and other sports gear for included use. There is high speed, 13 MG, WI-FI internet, 80 channel High Definition Cable TV and phone with North America Long distance installed in the apartment.
There are several golf courses nearby in Ahwatukee, with the "FOOTHILLS GOLF CLUB" 5 minutes away by car. Ahwatukee is a rolling foothills terrain area that is in an established area of Phoenix; very safe with beautiful homes, public landscaping, shopping malls, restaurants and all other amenities. The Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and Sedona are a three hour drive to the north and Tucson, Tombstone and Mexico are a three hour drive to the south. The Phoenix Coyotes are still there for now, along with the Phoenix SUNS in the winter. The Phoenix CARDINALS and the DIAMONDBACKS are the Football and Baseball sports choices. Professional orchestra, ballet companies and an active live theatre district are winter activities available. Los Vegas is a day's drive to the North West.
The Condo is a two bedroom, two bathroom, 1600 square foot, 2nd floor apartment with attached closed garage, Air Conditioning, air filter machines, humidifier and a laundry room in the apartment. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and garburetor. The fully furnished, beautifully decorated Living Room and Dinning Room has a Japanese decor theme and includes a Gas Fireplace and Electric Wine Cooler. The two bedrooms are at the opposite ends of the unit for privacy with ensuite bath-shower-toilet-sinks-closets in each. It will sleep four in the two bedrooms with an extra inflatable bed available for a fifth person if required. It is in a gated Condominium Community with a Common Area that includes two pools, a hot tub, and a Bar-B-Q area. The Recreation Building has an exercise room, Surround Sound Theatre for 6, Kitchen and Living Rooms for receptions, plus a small Business Center and meeting room. The grounds are palm treed and beautifully landscaped.

Why the Owner Chose AhwatukeeThe city of Phoenix is well served by several air carriers from Canada and is only a 3 hour flight away. The winter weather and temperatures are perfect at 70 -80 degrees F in the winter day time. Many activities such as golf, hiking and motor biking provide unlimited enjoyment not available in Canada's winter season. The summer season is also pleasant in the mornings when golf is cheap and enjoyable in the cool of the mornings until 10:30. The costs of renting/buying/living in Phoenix is very modest.
The Unique Benefits at this CondoMy unit is beautifully decorated with top line furniture and well equipped with all the electronic entertainment of a home, including cable TV, DVD and CD movies and music, WFI internet and a fully equipped kitchen and pantry. The view next the park is absolutely spectacular and night time wildlife can be heard nearby. The club house is fully equipped with exercise room, theater entertainment center, 2 pools and a hot tub, two Bar-B-Qs and Kitchen - Living Room area for receptions.

Neil's condo is one of the best that we have ever rented. The description of the spacious luxury is accurate and you can see that it has everything you need, but is even better when you are actually there. The view from the balcony is just great. The Condo is ideally located –easy access to shops etc and good road links to explore the area. You can even walk straight out onto Sth Mountain. Neil is a great person & very easy to do business with. We would recommend the condo to anyone wanting to stay in Phoenix.

My wife & I spent the month of Jan in this wonderful fully equipped condo in Ahwatukee. The condo was beautiful & we had agreat time. The condo had all the conveniences of home including a couple of bicycles. The pools were excellent and the view from the balcony was spectacular. Being able to call home was a bonus we did not expect. We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is beautiful and very clean. The furnishings are very nice and very comfortable, and the view from the patio is gorgeous. The pantry contains most of the basic things needed to feel at home. Within a short walk or bike ride (bikes and helmets included) are multiple hiking/biking trails into the South Mountain Preserve. The owner (Neil) is available, by phone, at all times and is very interested in making you stay enjoyable. The surrounding area is pretty and upscale, with stores and restaurants within a convenient distance. Look up the Hillside cafe (casual, organic foods) and order/share the grilled Tunisian salad - Yum!!! Have a great time. We hope to stay again.

You look out over South Mountain Park in the morning having coffee on the balcony. Decorated beautifully. You need a car to travel anywhere but it is worth it. Would recommend!
