The Garden Flat is run and owned by the owners of Edinburgh Villa holiday rental, now into its 4th year of rentals.
This is our popular, sunny, quiet, city centre garden flat. The reviews keeping getting nicer! We have just added a photo of our latest review from guests where they did some wonderful drawings too. Extremely peaceful accommodation for being in the city centre as it is set to the back of a late victorian building, facing onto a courtyard of private gardens and overlooking your own private patio with flowerbeds and patio seating.
Located only a 10 minute walk from Princes street/ the Castle area and surrounding attractions. The flat is in a very popular area of Edinburgh called Stockbridge (see our reviews further down on how popular Stockbridge is!). This area is known for interesting shops, art galleries, restaurants, and friendly pubs. The Botanic gardens, art galleries and walks by the River Leith are all in this area too. If you'd rather not walk the 10 minutes to Princes Street then Stockbridge has bus stops too.
Parking is free outside restricted hours and on public holidays. Restricted hours are 8-30am-5:30pm M-F, however we do have permits we can offer you which allows you to leave the car in nearby permit holders only spaces during restricted hours. There's also our weekly parking offer, this is a space at a nearby sports club. Ask for details on parking options.

Maps and brochures of Edinburgh, board games. A lovely, cozy, and warm room to relax in during the evenings, perhaps with a carry out fish n chips or curry from the local restaurants.

Further Information:
The garden flat is a 1 bedroom apartment with private outdoor patio with bistro set. The living room has a good quality sleeper sofa which sleeps an additional 2 people, suitable for children. There is a fully equipped small kitchen off the living room which includes cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There's a large TV in the living room and a TV with DVD player in the bedroom. Many channels and free wireless high-speed internet connection.

What a delightful apartment - exactly as portrayed on the web site! It is our first VRBO rental and it was a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the cheerful window boxes of daffodils and primulas - we were only able to sit outside for 2 days (due to the weather), but we were always able to enjoy them from inside. The apartment was spotless and extremely efficient - everything we could have ever wanted! Thanks for the tea cakes and tea! The apartment was extremely handy to grocery stores, restaurants and the River Leith walk - absolutely lovely! We got in shape by walking (uphill) to Princes and George Street daily - we never used the buses, so I can't comment on their effectiveness. Thanks for a lovely week!

We have had a fantastic time in Edinburgh! Stockbridge is lovely with great shops etc. The Garden Flat however has been the highlight of our holiday! We will be coming back soon and recommending this flat to friends. Thank you so much Astra & Avril for a lovely stay for our first time in Scotland. We really have had the best time. Next time will be staying much longer.

Have had a great time in Edinburgh. Visit to Britannia well worth it. Weather has been great as well. Good food at Stockbridge Tap, Hamiltons, The Bailie and San MArco. The flat is excellent with everything we needed. Hope to return soon.

Fabulous Hogmanay in Edinburgh! Great city and a great flat to spend time in. Stockbridge is a good base with interesting shops and good food - maxis does great crispy bacon! It wont be our last time!

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your lovely flat. All of the fun decorating touches made us feel right at home. All electronics, appliances, etc, worked perfectly. I kept looking out the window at your lovely garden area and wishing it was Spring!

The Garden flat served my needs perfectly on this visit to Edinburgh. I found it quiet, peaceful and therapeutic. I will definitely try to stay here the next time I visit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I particularly enjoyed the garden (bench needs repair). Thank you so much for everything. I have enjoyed my week. The location is great - quiet but easy to get anywhere else. The friendly village atmosphere of Stockbridge is good. The flat is well equipped and the little extra touches make a big difference. I also appreciated how easy it has been to make arrangements beforehand - emails were always promptly answered.
