We loved it here at Bear Haven. While we were here the snow was beautiful and the sun was shining. We visited many ski areas. Also the big bear was very helpful with distracting the kids. I'm sure we would all like to come back here again. It's the second time all of the Hacketts have come to Tahoe from America and Australia for a fantastic familyz reunion. Hi I' m 8...this is what I like the best....l I liked sleeping upstairs...on the second floor...It's really fun sledding down the driveway...sometimes you go all the way across the road....I had a great time and I would love to come back... P.S.. It's fun to get icicles from the left side of the house and draw in the nice clean snow.

What a wonderful bear den. It just snowed, the sun is now shining and it is going to be a fresh powder day! It was so pleasant to be here, especially as a young mother. I love how everything I needed was provided (baby gates, etc) and the teddy bears served as a cozy nappiong place for the baby. I love winter! (from the Bear Haven guest book)

Hello Debbie Just wanted to write a belated thank you. We enjoyed your place in Tahoe with my parents and brother. The kids had a blast at Chambers and the ping pong reached a whole new competitive level. Everyone spent hours on the front porch doing a 1500 piece puzzle and never thought it would be such a hit. It was homey and perfect for our family and you guys did such a wonderful job making it that way. We saw the map to Quail Lake and went up there 3 times. Even though it was a busy 4th of July weekend, we didn't see anyone on our hikes and were able to feel removed from it all. The kids loved picking from your collection of movies every night. We stayed at Bear Haven June 6-9th 2010. We had a total of eleven 18-21 year olds and they all had a fantastic time. The game room and hot tub were a huge hit. We also had the added luck of great weather and no crowds. The cabin had everything we needed and the owners/hosts were so quick to answer all of our questions and make arrangements for our stay. I highly recommend this property!

The 8 of us had a great stay @ Bear Haven for our annual ski trip. The closeness to Homewood was perfect; we skied, snowmobiled and snowshoed. The accomodations were great - loved the game room - used the bar for an internet cafe for all 7 of our laptops. The spa was great after a day on the slopes too. Had a great time at Bear Haven! Loved the place, location and the family had an amazing time. Already planning for the next year but this time we need a full week or even 10 days. Kids loved the jacuzzi, (parents too), ping pong, pool table (for Dad and Father in law) and we thoroughly enjoyed Bar B Que-ing and eating on the awesome deck surrounded by all the trees.... Everyday was action packed! We all rented bikes and rode to the Ehrman Mansion. Chartered a ski boat and intructor Dan to teach the kids how to water ski. Hired Captain Pam out of Homewood to take us fishing, and like last year caught a bunch of trout ranging from 3-5 lbs and cooked them to perfection that same evening. Multiple days were enjoyed at the great Beach Club and Pool, Bar etc. Can't thank you enough for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home in the woods! Best regards! Frank (via email)

Dear Debbi We are just waking on our last morning at Bear Haven and we had a wonderful time. This is the perfect size place for us and our clan and the large deck out front was perfect for the get together we hosted on Friday afternoon. My sons and grandsons had a great time with the ping-pong, pool and Nintendo. You have a wonderful home that has all of the things you need to have a perfect vacation. I was worried when we left Reno to come up here that we would not have all the things we needed, but you have stocked the cabin so well w only needed food....and we brought too much of that. Last night I was in the hot tub with my two daughters and two grandsons and when I said we should plan a week at Bear Haven every summer from now on, they all gave it a big thumbs up! Hi Debbie Just a note to let you know that I am returning your key to the P.O. Box. I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Bear Haven. We have two small children and have been to Tahoe 4 of the last 5 years. Bear Haven is definitely the most kid friendly we have seen. Everything mentioned in your advertisement is absolutely true. There was so much for the kids to do after dark: Nintendo, Playstation, Pool, Ping Pong, Games, Hot Tub, Movies, not to mention the skiing, snowboarding, and sledding during the day. At the same time, with 3 floors, adults could always find a quiet spot to get away for awhile. It was great being seconds away from Homewood, and for those who wanted something a bit bigger, Alpine and Squaw were just a short drive away. The second time they left a calling card of muddy paw prints all over Joe's truck. Curious bears aren't they? The most wonderful part of our trip was the fact that due to the weather, Joe and I were married right in front of the upstairs fireplace. There was nothing we could do to calm the skies, and with 20+ guests, we chose to keep them all dry. How romantic it turned out to be. So, now you've got a wedding chapel in your home. LOL. Hi Debbie Thanks for another wonderful time at your cabin! It is such a great place with kids. As we drove up on Friday night there was hardly any snow but that night a storm came in and there was tons of great snow all weekend with hardly anyone there. The Homewood resort was just right and they even let the 11 year olds ski free so that was very popular with all us Bay visitors. One of our gang lost his ipod on the slope and we heard two other people saying they had lost theirs as well so next summer you might look around! The igloo was very cool but we couldn't get the kids to stay overnight in it with their sleeping bags. Thanks again Kathryn (by email)
