  We have been visiting Guanajuato for the past 5 years and have stayed in the apartment below the main house for last 2. We have very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return each summer. The apartment is comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the city. The little stove top is perfect for cooking small meals. The living room is spacious and comfortable. It is very convenient to the central historical area. The apartment is in a safe area and I often walk home alone very late in the evening. The city really grows on you with each visit.

  I spent an amazing 6 weeks in this house and would happily go back again. The owners and house manager were always very helpful and have provided an accurate description of the house. The house could not be better located being just 3 mins walk to Teatro Juarez in the centre of town and only 5 mins run (10 mins walk) up to El Pipila and the panoramica overlooking the city. There are a host of bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants all within 5 minutes walk. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could need and the dinning area has a nice view of the city. But the terrace is AMAZING! Its a perfect area to relax in the sun, read a book, have a BBQ or host a party. My Mexican and foreign friends alike were all envious of my amazing terraza! All in all a highly enjoyable experience and I look forward to staying again in the future. Thanks.

  We spent half of July 2011 in this house - four adults and three children - and it was completely great. It's a beautifully airy space with an upper level perfect for grilling and hangng out, and a lovely view of the city. We have lived in Guanajuato for two years and have been back many times and this is one of the very nicest houses we have been in. It is two blocks from the Teatro Juarez. One Sunday afternoon we had a leak in the kitchen sink and the handyman was there within half an hou and fixed it right away. We will definitely rent it again if we can.

  My wife and I spent two months in the lower apartment of Casa Verde. We loved walking only two blocks to the central square. The location is fabulous. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed plus microwave. James Pyle made us feel welcome and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. The rental is cleaned weekly which was another plus. We highly recommend Casa Verde to anyone who wants a charming place to live with an awesome location and views to spare.

  Just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home in Guanajuato. We absolutely fell in love with the city, and look forward to returning soon. The location of Casa Verde just couldn't be better. We walked out the door and were instantly in the heart of things, a real plus with two small children. And yet, due to the walk-streets, we were isolated from the noise of traffic. It was fabulous to have three full bedrooms (with closing doors), which allowed us to actually sleep through the night (a rarity with small children). We also loved the upstairs patio and sound system - the kids had dance parties every afternoon! Thanks too to your rental manager James, who was extremely accommodating and helpful to us. Thank you James! He helped welcome us to the city, and made sure that we were comfortable throughout. We will be passing along your information to our friends here in San Pancho, who have already heard all about incredible Guanajuato. Thanks again.

  My husband and I stayed in Casa Verde along with our 4 year old daughter. The house is immaculate and very well-appointed. Super comfortable beds, great storage space and modern baths and kitchen. The kitchen has a good-sized fridge and an oven (almost impossible to find in GTO). The views are mesmerizing in both the day and night. I found myself just standing and staring from the terrace or out of the windows. The "climb" to get to Casa Verde was minimal, compared to other locations in the city. Just a few minutes' walk from Cafe Santo, a yummy creperie and a sweet little plaza (San Francisco) helps make this house a gem. We didn't take any language classes at the language school that is just around the corner, but we did take a series of cooking classes. I highly recommend looking into classes at the language school there. We also loved the fact that the house is very centrally located, but is totally insulated from any traffic noise. One of our favorite afternoon activities was to walk down to the main Jardin through the pedestrian zone and watch the mariachi bands get started for the night. The Jardin is less than 5 minutes from Case Verde. We can't wait to go back and are hoping to stay for a few months on our next visit.
