  We just returned from a 4-day weekend in Sandusky. The house has the space and location we needed and was overall, a good pick. I have rented numerouse houses from VRBO and can share some advice on how to take this rental from "good" to "great". My advice to the homeowner would be to buy all new bed linens, duvet covers with comforters inserts (a good trip to IKEA can help) and especially all new towels are needed. Add a few more pots and pans in the kitchen and definitely buy a new toaster. Lastly, try and add more comfortable seating downstairs. With just one sofa, movie night was challenging for our group of seven. With these simple changes, I would gladly stay again and recommend others to do so.

  Since we live in central Ohio we would get a hotel when visiting Cedar Point. We would look for an Embassy Suites so that we would at least have two rooms for us and our four kids. The challenge is that the Embassy Suites is in Independence so we would still have a considerable drive to get to Cedar Point. Not a great situation but that's all we knew, until now. As we were planning for this trip my wife happened to find this website and we zeroed into this particular property. It didn't matter that we were only a week out when we reached out to Doug. He was prompt with all communications, email and text as we quickly and painlessly got the arrangements done. Shortly after arriving at the property Doug's Dad came over, introduced himself and made himself available for anything we may need, which we really appreciated. The layout of the property was *exactly* what we needed! We have four girls and two boys .... the upstairs had one bedroom with four single beds (girl's room) and a master bedroom with a queen (boy's room), along with a full bath, living room and full length balcony. Everything the kids needed so that Mommy and Daddy had our space downstairs! Downstairs layout is great with two tables that allowed one to be the "electronics" table and the other was the drawing table for my boys. The couch was comfy, fit most of the kids and the kids loved to eat their meals at the large coffee table while watching TV. Mommy and Daddy had our own master bedroom with queen bed, along with bathroom. All linens are provided and clean; the washer, dryer and provided detergent kept all our clothes clean. The kitchen has all dish and silverware. Loved the gas grill, we wore it out! This place is the definition of "location". We were able to break from Cedar Point and come back for lunch and you know how much that saves you. I took the big kids back after lunch (just show your original parking receipt and you don't have to pay another $15 for parking) and when we left in the rainstorm we found the back gate to Cedar Point Road and were back "home" in minutes! The kids loved playing at waters edge on both sides of the peninsula. All food needs are handled at the Kroger supermarket five minutes away, which also has a Starbucks. This is the first time we have rented a property for a vacation and we couldn't be more happier with this experience and working with Doug .... Thanks Doug for a truly memorable vacation!!!

  Great place me and my family stayed and loved it great home great neighbors and great Views !!! Will definitely come back... If your in Sandusky and looking for a place this is the place for you...

  Once again, another great weekend! This is the third time my group and I have rented from the owner and we had a wonderful, relaxing weekend on this property. After a stressful week at work we enjoyed the downtime more than we can ever put into words! You have found loyal customers in us....

  My wife, mother-in-law, four kids plus a friend, and I had a great time this past weekend...this house was a huge part of our enjoyment! It is said that in real estate only three things matter: "Location Location Location" and this certainly holds true here. A beautiful view, an easy commute to Sandusky, and an easier commute to Cedar Point prove the point. Aside from the location, the house was well stocked, spacious, and had comfy clean beds.

  We stayed for a week at this home with our 9yr, 14yr, and 16yr old boys. Being from California, i wasn't sure what to expect. But the home was very roomy, the open floor plan with two family rooms was great, as it gave my husband and I some space and alone time whenever..There are so many things to do in the area Cedar Point, Kalahari, Castaway Bay, the lake, Miniature Golf and Go Karts at Goofy Golf, and even went to the Ghostly Manor and did some roller skating! The house was center to it all.. After spending the whole day together it was nice to sit on the patio and take in the views, and BBQ on the deck.. The sunrise in the mornings was amazing! The washer and dryer really came in handy, the house was very clean, and thank goodness for the 2 1/2 bathrooms..lol... Thank You Doug, we definitely plan on coming back.

  Great house with fantastic views of the lake and bay from two large decks . Both master bedrooms have lots of privacy while two family rooms have space for gatherings. So convenient to Cedar Point! We had such a great time! Doug made the whole process so easy.

  Recently stayed at this location for a family vacation to Cedar Point and the Lake Erie islands. Had a excellent time in the area in general. So much to do, no matter what age, from kids to us adults. The house itself was great. Everything we needed was at our disposal, and the property was very well cared for throughout. It was close to all the area attractions, and only minutes from food, shopping, and golf for us guys. The home had great amenities, and beautiful views of the water from just about every room. Really enjoyed watching the sun rise and set on the wonderful full length second floor deck each day. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Will definitely be back to this home as soon as possible.
