We stayed in the villa from 3/9-3/16 - it was just as described in the photos. Very clean, very comfortable. There is a restaurant within walking distance and the Luquillo Beach kiosks are a short drive. We highly recommend the kiosks! It is a short walk to the beach, which had nice waves for body surfing. We also visted Old San Juan and El Yunque - both are also highly recommended.This was our first time in Puerto Rico and from our experience here, we definitely plan on returning.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Villas was exactly as advertised. Comfortable, nicely furnished and all amenities available for your convenience. Gated community is in a very tropical setting, quiet and well maintained. Beach is secure and within a short walk to either calm waters or surf. Location is walking distance to stores and restaurants. El Yunque and ferry to Culebra are a short drive for a nice day trip. Would recommend for couples or families looking for a relaxing getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had a great week in Luquillo. The apartment was clean and in great location. The beach is within a short walk but it's more of a wild beach with big waves. So we decided to take our 2 year old son to a public beach which is just fantastic for families with small children. It's only 2 minutes drive from the condo. The waves there are very small, the beach is clean and beautiful with plenty of shade from palm trees. We went there twice a day and had a blast. You do have to pay $4.28 to get in but it's worth every penny. Robert was very accommodating and because there was no one moving in the day we left he let us stay in the apartment until 4pm even though regular check out time is at 11am! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. Great access to beach, community pool. Short drive to supermarket, Kiosks at Luquillo etc. We went scuba diving, toured the Bacardi Factory, visited Old San Juan and walked in the rainforest during our week in Puerto Rico.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This beach house was perfect for our family with three children, ages 9, 6, and 2. All three kids loved sleeping in the bunk bed room, with the additional pull-out trundle bed. It was a two minute walk to the nice community pool and adjoining playground, and a four minute walk to the local beach. We also walked to LuQuillo Beach itself, as it was only about half a mile away. The security guard and gated community added to our feeling of safety, such that we could let our older children roam the neighborhood on their own. The home was very well stocked. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and we appreciated having the beach toys and beach chairs. The DVDs, plentiful info on nearby attractions, and extra shampoos and suntan lotions that were left behind were also nice touches. It was also very helpful to have the outdoor shower on the patio. And we enjoyed dining outside on the patio and listening to the coqui frogs every night. Our children LOVED this place, and we would happily stay here again. I do not think you can find a better location in LuQuillo.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our vacation experience was positively influenced by our stay in this property. Made my family feel like being in our own home. Everything was clean, organized and prepared upon arrival. The condo has everything you need to accommodate a family's needs. Full kitchen came in handy along with the washer and dryer. Also the wi-fi was very useful to stay in touch with reality back in Florida. The communication and support from the owners is second to none. They were very helpful, friendly and on key with all our needs. The pool in the community was closed but the proximity to the beach makes that insignificant. The access to many attractions and shopping is very reasonable. In summary, if you are looking for a cozy place that can pack your family and provide a rewarding experience look no further. It will please the most demanding wife. It did mine.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

We stayed in Luquillo to have access to El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, and the ferry to Vieques. Having this condo as our 'home base' was perfect for all of that. I wished I would have known ahead of time that there were bath towels, beach towels, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. All of it was extremely helpful but I had already packed these things. The condo is very clean and also had internet service, which we loved. Robert was extremely helpful in getting us settled, with directions, and information on where to buy things. Also, the pool is still not open yet, but this didn't make any impact on our stay, but ask ahead of time about the pool if it's important to you. Thank you Ricardo & Robert for making our stay in Luquillo as comfortable as possible!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This beach house was great for our needs. The house had just about everything we needed for our stay (2 adults and 4 small children) and fit us all quite comfortably. The patio was breezy and a great place to hang out at night, no view as it is closed in, but that kept the kids in where we could see them, which was helpful. There is an outside shower that was great for after the beach. We chose to drive to the public beach most days (about a 1 minute drive), although the beach behind the complex was great too, with bigger waves for body surfing. The balneario makes fantastic pina coladas and fried snacks so that's where we spent several days. Our major disappointment was that the complex pool was not open due to some repair work being done, and is not supposed to be open again for several months. This is to no fault of the owner, but when I called to check on this with the property manager, he said he would investigate and get back to me and he never did. I found out by asking someone working on the property. The house also did not come with beach toys for kids, so we did end up buying our own, fortunately there is a shopping center right near by so it was pretty convenient. They did provide chairs and a cooler, which we made good use of. The location of this house is fantastic, very convenient to everything, and feels really safe and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a fun, affordable trip to Puerto Rico.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The property was exactly as advertised. The location was perfect for exploring the area- it was close to EL Yunque and Fajardo and the biobays and only an hour to Old San Juan. The owner was easy to work with. The area was very quiet in the winter. There was noone else using the baseball courts or the pool. The beach is lovely and only a short walk from the condo.Recommended for: Families with young children

I truly had a wonderful time and will be returning in the summer of 2011. The house was very spacious and very clean with a fully equipped kitchen. My family and I had a bbq every eveing we were there. I highly recommend this villa and the owners are wonderful people who were very helpful. My family and I can not wait until next year. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

This property was clean, well-maintained, welcoming. Very comfortable for myself, husband and three kids. Quick walk to the beach and the pool. I loved the lanai; it was wonderful sitting outside to eat and listen to the treefrogs and the ocean in the evenings. The community was clean and felt very safe; close to Rte 3, an easy drive to Fajardo for the biobay tours, El Yunque (beautiful park and the rainforest was incredible) and 45 mins into San Juan, quick drive to great golfing. Shopping close by. Robert, the property manager was very easy to work with and available if needed. We had a great vacation and felt very at home in Solimar. I would love to go back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

I stayed here for 4th of July weekend with my mom and my boyfriend and had an awesome time. It was nice to stay near Luquillo beach since it brought back childhood memories going to Luquillo beach in the summer. Luquillo beach is great! I have family in Puerto Rico, and the property was near most of theml. I was very impressed with the property, and it has all the amenities you need! All you need to bring is food, and you are set. All rooms were tastefully decorated, the linens of great quality, the A/C worked wonderfully, and even the beach chairs were great! The only issue we had was that one day the Solimar complexes had issues with running water, and we had just come back from the beach so we were looking forward to shower, and could not. Luckily, the next morning the water came back. This sometimes happens in Puerto Rico! Also, the transactions of making the deposit, payments, and picking up the keys were easy. We had an enjoyable time, and I would gladly return to the property the next time I travel to Puerto Rico!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was my wife and kid's first time in Puerto Rico. We loved it and this property really completed the experience. They state it was their favorite vacation. This condo offered all of the convenience of a "beach" rental with the amenities of a home. The gated community backed right up to the sand. It was nice hanging out at the beach without having to carry a ton of stuff. If we forgot something or just wanted to go back to eat, it was just a 3-4 minute walk. Comfortably fit 2 adults and 2 kids. Could fit a few more kids, but any more adults, might be a bit tight, unless they were willing to sleep on the couch/futon. Loquillo in general is a great place to stay. Pretty laid back and yet close enough to the excitement of San Juan. Loved the experience. Great price. Owners easy to work with. Would definitely come back to this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Looking for a warm oplace to escape the cold Massachusetts winter, that didn't require a passport, we settled on Puerto Rico. A friend suggested VRBO and that's how we found this place. Luquillo is a great location being near the rain forest, the ferry, and having its own set of great beaches. The owner was easy to communicate with and we had no difficulties making arrangements. Upon arriving in San Juan we met with the property manager, Robert Baez, and signed the contract. He then went out of his way to escort us to the property to make sure we found it okay (this was probably about 45 minutes out of his way!). We greatly appreciated his assistance and found the place to be as advertised. My wife and I were traveling with 2 children (4 and 5 years old) and they loved the place and Puerto Rico as well. Although we had unseasonable rain it did not stop us from doing anything and we had a great trip. The house is in a good location for exploring the east side of the island and the nearby kioskos were a convenient and great place to eat. All in all we would definitely go back and hope to do so sometime in the future. Following this experience I will look for similar rentals whenever I travel. The place was clean, well furnished, and had plenty of beach towels.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.
