  I wish I could give partial stars, as I would give this property a 4.7 out of 5, but that is not an option. The only issue we had with the property is its' proximity to Highway 12. It sits right next to Hwy 12, and if you are a light sleeper, like me, the road noise is tough to handle. I was up at 6:30 every morning and could not get back to sleep. The house itself was great. Freshly painted inside and out and had nice furnishings. All appliances and electronics were in good working order, to include fridge, stove, microwave, washer, dryer, dishwasher, TVs/remotes and arcade games. We struggled with the sensor bar on the Wii, but that was a minor issue. The pool and hot tub were very clean. One note: If the pool was not heated the week before you arrive, it may take 1+ days to come up to tempature. The kitchen was very well equipped with pots, pans, untensils and dishes. Wi-fi worked well throughout the house. The sport court was a huge hit, and would REALLY benefit all of you that have active children like me. Sun Realty was very responsive to our concerns (primarily pool heat). Matt (the owner) is by far the most engaged owner I have every encountered. This included before, during and after our visit. Lisa's Pizzaria (100 yards away) was a good eat out option within walking dustance, but we ate in most nights. One item to note unrelated to the house, I was amazed at how many buisnesses on the OBX are no longer taking credit/debit cards. We had this happen at least once a day to include but not limited to: fishing charter, ice cream shop, putt putt and national parks. All in all a great week.

  this was an amazing house. this was our first trip to the obx and with help from this house, we fell in love! not only was it spacious, but beautiful and had so much to offer that the 4 kids left us alone most of the time! even though the house was awesome, there was something even better....the owners. when we got there, the pool heat and hot tub wasnt up so i called and w/in an hour he had somene fix it. then, when i couldnt get online, he had that fixed in an hour. i had mentioned to him i couldnt find the wii games or controllers, come to find out, someone stole them from the house, and he didnt know..and the linen company left the wrong sheets and comforter for one bed. when i told mr wilson about it, he told me to go get any wii things we need and i could pick up a new comforter and he would pay me for them. not only is he excelent, but he went over and above to make sure we were happy!! the only thing keeping me from renting it more, is i have a bad back and knees and all the stairs hurt. if i could , i would put his house ocean front or semi and have an elevator, and this would be the perfect dream house. thanks again mr wilson, and i wish you all the best! ps...if u ever get an elevator, let me know so i can book with you again. callie...d.c metro area

  We had a great time at Conscience Point with our family. The house was beautiful, well maintained and well stocked. There were lots of fun things for the kids to do like the pool, mini-golf, basketball court, indoor pool table and arcade games. The living room, kitchen and dining area were a great place to spend time and very amenable to large groups. There are multiple deck spaces with views to the ocean and bay. The beach is a short walk away with miles and miles of sand and surf.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

  We recently had the pleasure of reuniting with some members of our family for a week at Conscience Point and could not have enjoyed ourselves more! What a magical place this was for us to reconnect with our family who lives in three different states! With six adults and three children in the house there was so much room that everyone could really spread out and feel quite comfortable. Not only is the house spacious, but it is beautifully appointed and well cared for. From the moment we stepped inside we knew we were in for a treat and Conscience Point certainly did not disappoint! The overall atmosphere just calls out to you to simplify, relax and enjoy - and that we did. As far as what the area has to offer, we must admit that we did more relaxing than anything else. (Nothing wrong with that, we say!) Although the younger members of our family took advantage of visiting some local places of interest, the two of us were quite content to simply relax by the pool or just sit out on the upper deck and as they say, “Watch the clouds roll by.” One day, the girls visited Spa Koru for massages, leaving the men at the house to watch the little ones. The spa turned out to be a wonderful spot and the experience greatly enhanced our feelings relaxation… if that were possible! It was a fabulous way for the girls to have a little time away from their duties of motherhood. (If your men are game, the ladies of our family highly recommend this to all future guests!) The house has so much for everyone to do that you really don’t have to venture far for entertainment. The kids loved the pool, the basketball court, the putting green, the video games and the Wii system! We so appreciate how much thought and effort the Wilsons have put into making their house such a special place for the entire family that discussions have already begun in planning our return to Conscience Point next year! Without hesitation we highly recommend the Wilson’s house and this location to anyone searching for the perfect getaway! Actual Rates are lower by a couple of dollars. VRBO does not have a function to list each week with a weekly rate. See our website for precise rental amounts.

First half of rent is due within 7 days. Second half of rent is due no later than 45 days prior to vacation starting. Management company is responsible for handling the lease and does have financing options available whereby payments can be stretched over a period of months.
