First of all I want to give 5 stars to this house. We arrived on Saturday afternoon, had no problems checking in and the entire house is spotless. The master bedroom is on the ocean side so when you open your eyes in the morning you see the ocean. Because it was April we were able to keep the doors and windows open all day and night and hear and feel the ocean breeze. The house is PERFECT for a couple or maybe a family with kids. The second bedroom is on the road side of the house and there is pretty much road noise. I tried to sleep in there one night (my husband was not feeling well) and ended up having to sleep on the sofa because of the noise. However, on the master bedroom side you can barely hear any noise at all. My only concern with this house is the location. If you are going for fishing (THIS IS YOUR PLACE)!!! However, if you are looking for the beautiful Gulf ocean this would not be my choice. We have never stayed in this part of Florida so really didn't know. The house is located or Port St. George Sound. The water there is brown. Also, this area of the beach is pretty deserted. If you want solitude you will get it - no complaints there. But the beach is also dirty (glass, tires, fishing nets, even a kitchen sink)... lots of debris and trash. That was extremely disappointing. If you have small children you would probably want to make the drive over the St. George Island and go to the state park over there. It costs $6.00 to get it but the beach is absolutely beautiful. Seemed a little silly since we were staying on the beach but I would not get in this water, let alone let my child. I wish they owners could take this house and move it up the beach about an hour (towards Panama City) and out of the sound.... :( As far as food - we ate out every night except one. The seafood in this area is excellent especially if you like oysters. I could go on and on about that! We made it a point to visit a LOT of the local hangouts and really met some cool people. I would love to say I would rent this place again - but unfortunately I want a prettier beach and clear water. I was actually afraid to go barefoot on the beach because of the glass and other garbage. Sad that the town can't do a better job of cleaning this area.

Owner response: Thank you so much for the good review, we try our best to make everything easy for your vacation. I’m very sorry that the water was brown, it’s usually not. We had some severe storms in April and May which causes bad rip current that stirs up the water making it brown. Also causing all kinds of things to wash up on the shore…including the kitchen sink. As of now our beaches our clean and our water is blue! We hope to see you again soon to enjoy our small town/southern hospitality and great seafood!

We spent three nights during spring break at this wonderful beach home. The property manager was fantastic to work with - the booking and payment process was simple, as was the check-in/out process. The house is even better than the pictures - we loved the floorplan and the beach décor. All of the important amenities were here, as well as nice touches like puzzles and books. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck - eating fresh seafood from nearby Eastpoint.

My husband and I stayed at this nice home over Spring Break. It was furnished very well and completely as advertised. The rental agent, SeaCrest Realty/Sandy Beach Properties were very professional and easy to work with. They covered all the details and the made the vacation just perfect.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary in this beach home. Our 15th was London, Paris and Amsterdam. Our 20th was 2 ½ weeks in Hawaii with a 7 day cruise. This one had to be really special. We had been to Carrabelle a few times and once for the Black Bear Festival, day-trips flying from our home in central Florida. It’s a charming place with the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. We discussed spending some time and booked this beach house for the week. At first view we could see it’s well maintained and nicely appointed. During the week we experienced the beautiful view on the white sugar beach change each day, sunrise in the morning to the bright stars at night all, and we had it all to ourselves! If you’re familiar with the Bahamian out islands, picture all that beauty and fun without the forms and formalities. It really is 25th anniversary special! Sincerely, Kevin & Val Robson

My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful cottage in early April -- we enjoyed every minute of it. Our intent was to go somewhere to relax and enjoy the ocean -- and that's just what we did. The people in Carrabelle and surrounding areas were very friendly and helpful. Everything is as nice as the pictures show -- very clean and comfortable. Would love to return some day!

Had a nice time at this rental property. Good location on the beach, but you still pickup some road noise from Highway 98. Pretty well equipped and very clean, but needs some updating of kitchen items (pots/pans) that are past their prime. Great house for one or two couples and is nicely appointed. Large master bedroom/bath with lots of drawer storage and closet room! Nice big LCD TV in the family room with cable. Property manager was also very nice and responsive. If you like staying on the beach and looking to do some stargazing, this is your place.....also close to Apalachicola, St. George Island and Wakulla Springs.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. This is a perfect location if you are interested in getting away from it all (no major chains or "tourist-y" places nearby). We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and had to tear ourselves away from the relaxation of the house to visit nearby St. George Island and Apalachicola. My only advice for potential renters is to bring bug spray. The yellow flies are horrible! We had a wonderful wonderful time, though, and we will remember this place and the time here for the rest of our lives!

Wonderful vacation getway. The beds were so comfortable it was a little hard to get up in the morning but with the beautiful sunrise peeking through the windows and the call of the gulls, We forced outselves so we could get out on the surf, right outside the bedroom and catch some breakfast. Evenings were just as enjoyable with a chilled glass of wine out on the balcony as we saw the sunset over the gulf. Beautiful area of Florida, still unspoiled and uncrowded. Cottage is well maintained, cozy, clean and so comfortable, complete with everything needed. Can't wait to come back!
