  This was an amazing home in a rural setting. Great TV so not to miss hubby's sport weekend. On acreage with deer and quiet neighborhood. Walk to town---a good cultural experience of a very small and friendly village. Dee and Gaylen were very good to work with in making our eastern Oregon experience memorable. Good day trips to Cornicopia, Joseph, Hells Canyon, and the Interperative Center in Baker City. We have enjoyed several VRBO homes, and this is one of the best.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

  this place is awsome............comforts of home very clean and has plenty of room to spread out and visit or watch a movie.....we have been here 3 times this past winter and spring for snowmobiling and it was all great................... this is a 5 star in halfway.......... enjoy, debbie weis

  A group of us stayed here during the New Year's weekend to snowmobile and it was wonderful. To the huge parking area, to the big windows to look out over the fields towards the hills, and the open floor plan that it has to offer, and not to mention the owners, ALL WONDERFUL!

  My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights after dropping our kids off in La Grande for a basketball camp. We were close enough to the camp yet far enough that we felt we were truly away. It was much better than driving all the way back to Seattle! We most enjoyed going sight seeing every day. The drive up Hells Canyon to the dam was just gorgeous! We also visited the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center just outside of Baker City. There is so much beautiful scenery to look at in Eastern Oregon. We had quite a few exciting thunder storms every evening too! Dee was very kind to call and check on us and to supply us with a barbeque that we used every night for dinner. There were 2 deer that visited the backyard every evening too! This is a great home for a large family who enjoys outdoor recreation as well as a great home for a quiet retreat for two!

  This house is immaculate. We felt that we were in a nice hotel. It is large and accomodates a big party. The owner was most helpful. Halfway is a beautiful valley surrounded by snow capped mountains We were there in June and could not believe the green beauty everywhere we went. It is a quaint little town. Visiting there is like stepping back in time. People are friendly. Buildings are mostly old, think antique. I would certainly recommend this place to my friends or anyone who just wanted a beautiful place to relax and let this frantic world pass by. This house is the exception, it is new, modern and well kept.

  Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.
