Beautifully renovated cottage in quintessential lobstering village of Round Pond, Maine. Property is a very short 2 minute walk down to Round Pond harbor and includes access to private wharf and mooring if you are bringing a boat. Use the kayaks to paddle over to the lobster pounds for lunch or dinner and get an ice cream at the penny candy store, or just paddle around the harbor looking for harbor seals to come up and play with the kayak.
Property includes a very large back yard which is perfect for Badminton, horseshoes, Wiffleball or just hanging out on the deck with a good book. This is an ideal Maine vacation for a family with children of any age or two couples.
Pemequid/Damariscotta area is just a short 1 hour drive from either Portland or Camden and offers a wide variety of activities. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy an early morning kayak, catch some crabs or mackeral from the wharf, visit the historic Pemequid Fort and ruins, pack your bikes and golf clubs, bring home some antiques, wade in the water and pick some shells at Salt Pond Preserve, watch the crashing surf at the world famous Pemequid Point Lighthouse pictured on the Maine quarter, jump on the ferry out of New Harbor and spend the day visiting artists out on Monhegan Island, and of course enjoy some fresh seafood.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: I have been going to Round Pond forever. This is a special place for my family and we all enjoy getting away whenever we can. Busy teenage schedules keep us from using the cottage as much as we would like and it is too beautiful to not be enjoyed.
Why the Owner Chose Round Pond:
Cottage and surrounding properties have been in our family for generations and we visit as often as we can. If you want the picture perfect postcard of a small Maine lobstering village, just visit Round Pond.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We spend a lot of time down on the wharf using the kayaks, swimming, boating and fishing. We always take advantage of the fresh seafood and usually have lobster at least once a day during vacation. My family enjoys the local golf course which is just a short 10 minute drive and bring our bikes for short bike rides. We have full internet access and even though we come here to relax and enjoy the Maine coastline, we can easily check in on any business or personnel issues.
