We liked this studio apartment so much last year that we decided to come back. And again, we weren't disappointed. It's spacious with a functional kitchen, and best of all, it has a private garden. We cooked several times and had lunch outside more than once. The bed is very comfortable. The apartment is quiet and very close to the subway and Central Park. Dov is responsive and accommodating. We'll definitely be back again.

We stayed for 2 weeks, arriving a few days before Hurricane Sandy. The unit is in a great area with easy subway to downtown or uptown & only half a block from Central Park. Their are plenty of good local restaurants & bars. The apartment is pretty dated but was clean & plenty of room for luggage. We found the amenities basic but spent most of our time out & about so didn't really matter much to us. Bathroom needs to be renovated but shower had good water pressure. We enjoyed our stay but would probably go a little more upmarket next time

Great location. Very easy access to the B & C train, uptown or downtown. Very quiet street with lots of stores & restaurants within walking distance. Close to Shakespeare in the Park. Plenty of room for two people. Felt very secure. The interior of the apartment needs some TLC. Bathroom is very dated and needs to be completely refurbished. I would say the apartment was clean, but old feeling. Kitchen is very adequate for what you need a kitchen for. I would recommend this apartment, but rent it knowing that it is an older apartment that doesn't offer extravagance. Some TLC would make this apartment unbelievable. I think this area (upper west side) is one of the best places to stay in NYC.

We stayed for a week this August and had a good experience. The apartment is clean and simple, the kitchen is well outfitted but the bathroom was a bit dusty and in need of an update. It is well situated near Central Park, lots of restaurants and shops and the subway. It was a bit cramped for 2 adults and 2 small children but worked ok as a base. More space may be wanted if staying for longer. Only complaints were that the floors were quite creaky (which woke the kids up when someone had to use the bathroom) and the beds were obviously well used with dips in the mattress and creaking every time you rolled over. The cleaner was quite nice and did a good job. Dov was quite nice and when we arrived and found the fridge was broken, he replaced it that evening. The area was nice and quiet which was nice during the night.

This studio was just what we needed for our recent visit to NYC. While the property is older, it was clean and worked well for our small family. The subway is very convenient. The owner was nice and easy to work with. The property was quiet, so after a day in the bustle of the city it was a great place to retreat to.

Our son is a graduate student at Columbia University. We chose this property because it was a short distance from Columbia, and it turned out to be a great place to stay for the week of his spring break. All the reviews, pro and con were fairly accurate. We found this to be a great value, much to our liking, with a well supplied kitchen for cooking, and perfect location (only half a block from the subway!) for getting around town fast. It's an old apartment, very authentic, and very modestly furnished, but clean and it provided a LOT more space than any hotel we have stayed at on previous trips to NYC. It was also a very safe and quiet location in a pretty neighborhood. We did not use the private garden due to the winter season but that would be great in the summer. The owner was very good about contacting us when we had an interruption in water service one night. He left messages on our cell phone while we were at the theater to tell us the water had been cut off. We had to buy drinking water because it could not be repaired until the next morning, but were amazed and pleased that he recognized the inconvenience and not only refunded the cleaning fee but also brought a potted plant for the coffee table for us to enjoy that last day or two. That was pretty classy we thought. We thoroughly enjoyed the city, one new activity was the High Line Park, the Intrepid, and the New York Aquarium at Coney Island. Since we had an entire week we got to try an new restaurant every day: Yemen, Greek, Thai, Latin, Vegetarian, you name it. Best week in New York ever. We definitely would stay at this apartment again if we have the opportunity. Very Enjoyable.

My mom and I came to New York for a week and wanted a place to stay in a residential neighborhood. This apartment was perfect for our needs. Dov and Shula were quickly responsive both before we arrived and while we were in town. The apartment is as shown in the photos, simple, comfortable, and clean with all the needed amenities, a half block from Central Park and the subway, and easy walking distance to restaurants, groceries, and shops in the Upper West Side. It was a pleasant stroll across Central Park to Museum Mile and a short subway ride to everywhere else. I could walk around alone at any hour and felt secure everywhere in this charming neighborhood. We didn’t get to use the yard and patio as it was wintery cold, but it was pleasant to have the open space outside our window in the mornings. The water was hot, the kitchen had all the needed cooking gear that allowed us to fix breakfasts and an occasional dinner, the neighbors were quiet, and the wifi was consistent. Every night when we got home we remarked how glad we were to have this little apartment. We will come back to New York and our next visit will be booked with the availability of this apartment in mind.

I will definitely want to stay here on my next visit. Could not ask for a better location. Great neighborhood, steps from Central Park, and close to two different subway lines. 15 minute stroll through the Park to Museum Mile. Apartment is exactly as pictured, and had everything we needed.

This was the perfect place for my visit to New York.. It is so adorable and located in one of the best neigborhood on the upper westside. My fiance and I loved the backyard - it was so peaceful! I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Dov

Couldn't have asked for a better place to experience New York for the first time! Dov was extremely accommodating and the apartment was exactly as the pictures showed it to be. Very close to subway and restaurants as well as other attractions and it was wonderful to come back to after a day packed full of activities. Would definitely recommend this apartment, I actually gave someone the information about it at the airport coming home. We plan on returning and staying here again! Thanks for everything...we loved it :)

Upper West Side is nice place to live when visiting NYC. Subway was near and easy to use. This apartment was VERY humble but clean. Dishwasher didn´t work. Sofabed was squeaky and uncomfortable for two because it was slanted. Floors were sgueaky too. Not good if you are a bad sleeper and there are more than 1-2 people staying in same space. (studio apt). But overall it was ok. I would give 3 stars for apartment and 4 for the area. We woke up every morning when birds started to sing :)

Super apartment - ticked all the boxes. This was our sixth visit to NYC, but the first time in an apartment. No more hotels for us. If this apartment is available the next time we visit, it will be our first choice.

Spent a week the end of March at this property and it was great! Very comfortable and had everything we needed including full size fridge, stove, microwave, bath and garden! Very quiet and safe. Less than a block from subway & Central Park. Tons of local atmosphere close by on Columbus, Amsterdam, and Broadway! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
