  We stayed in Jean's apartment and loved everything about it. The apartment seemed bigger than it looks in the pictures. We (my husband, 19 year old daughter and I) were more than comfortable in this spacious well appointed home. The entire apartment was spotless. The location is great, the area is full of nice restaurants, bistros and bakeries and a quick 3 blocks or so to the Metro station. Charles was helpful before we arrived communicating with us thru emails, and met us at the apartment upon arrival. He is great, knows the area quite well and was happy to answer our questions and give us some superb recommendations. We would love to return here in warmer weather and sit outside and have our coffee in the morning and a glass of champagne in the evening...hopefully we'll be back soon!

  We enjoyed our week in Paris and the apartment was a perfect place for us. It was located close to the Metro and it was spacious, comfortable and secure. We enjoyed using the terrace. It was the perfect place for our cheese, wine and bread. Charles was very helpful with the orientation to the apartment as well as giving us excellent information about places to eat, the markets, and things to do. We would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Paris.

  This apartment was an absolute delight. After a long day of sight-seeing, it was so relaxing to come back to this comforting home with its very spacious and tastefully furnished rooms. The huge terrace is delightful -a great place to enjoy your 'wine time'. The apartment is equipped with everything you will need and all the appliances have very clear usage instructions. Jean, the owner, and Charles, property manager, were both so friendly and helpful. They do all they can to make your stay extremely pleasant. The neighbourhood is such a buzz - so Parisien and so lively- and full of excellent shops and cafes;however the apartment street is very quiet at night. The apartment is just a very short walk to the metro Bastille which is on a major metro line. We loved staying here and will certainly be recommending it to all our friends.

  We stayed in the apartment during the last week of September 2011 with 2 friends. The apartment is very spacious & well appointed with a warm & homely atmosphere. We found it to be an ideal place for 2 couples to share. In the unseasonably hot weather in Paris that week the large balcony was an added bonus that was used for breakfast every morning as well as evening relaxation. The location is perfect with easy access to restaurants, shops, supermarkets & the metro. Even though this is a vibrant part of Paris with plenty of nightlife we found the apartment to be quiet & peaceful at night, even with the windows open. Charlie, the property manager was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. He was easy to contact during our stay & also arranged a car to take us to the airport on our departure day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment.

  This was a great apartment, in a wonderful neighbourhood. The apartment was very well equipped, and Charles, the manager, was very responsive, and gave us many helpful tips and suggestions. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to live like a Parisian, but with all the comforts of home.

  Apartment was really great in every respect. Very large. Very well located. If anything the VRBO description undersells what is a really great place. Well appointed. Very well supplied with great cookware, appliances etc. Fine internet connectivity (and free phone service to land lines in other countries!!!). Really enjoyed ! Owner and manager were very fair and very responsive. Having 2 bathrooms was great. Cool neighborhood with 2 nice small restaurants within footsteps: Les Galopins and Le Chat Ivre. Both intimate. And many more good places 5 -10 minutes away. Supermarket (monoprix less than 5 minutes walk). Generally not a touristy areas which was a big plus. great metro and bus access about 10 minutes or less walk.. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends. !! Thanks Jean and Charles for making our stay (which included 86 year old mother) special.!

  Review of Paris Apartment: We stayed at the apartment August, 2011. Our pre-booking communications with the owner, Jean, were prompt and each inquiry answered thoroughly. She was a delight to work with. Charlie, the apartment manager/greeter, was on time and knowledgeable with instructions. Talk about instructions. . . never have we seen such a beautifully written and thorough book of recommendations for grocery shopping, restaurants, sight-seeing suggestions and appliance booklets. Which reminds me, two apartments later (in our trip) the fancy stove 'locked-up' and we were clueless on how to use it. Not at Jeannie's home, she was prepared! As others have mentioned, the location was fantastic to the metro, a vibrant neighborhood and restaurants. The terrace is outstanding! There were two items that could be changed to make an absolutely PERFECT stay. The first would be larger beds, as sleep is Vastly Important, especially on a jet-lag first stop. One bed was accurately advertised as a full size. Our travel companions used a provided cot to sleep next to his/her spouse. We, as a couple, also had a little difficulty sleeping in the bed and one person used the sofa. Luckily the apartment was so well provided there were enough sheets, pillows and blankets to accommodate these sleeping changes. The second was the amount of personal photos in the apartment. It took about three days for all of us to feel like we were not invading a home of someone whom we did not know. It sounds like an odd complaint, but it was an uncomfortable feeling. The bottom line is the apartment is so wonderful there is NO DOUBT you will LOVE your stay, as we did! Rent It, as the experience is absolutely enchanting! Enjoy

  From the moment we opended the door it was as if we had never left. It felt as just a few eays earlier. As usual everthing was perfect. Our stay for almost 3 months which, went by too fast. We enjoyed having friends over for dinner, thanks to the well equipped kitchen and really enjoyed the nice sunny days on the terrace. As this was our second time there we were quite familar with the area. We would highly recommend the apartment as it is filled with all the aminities that are needed whether it is for a few weeks or an extended stay. We are anxiously awaiting our return next year, Art & Tom

  We were delighted with this apartment and would definitely return. The apartment was immaculate, located in a convenient area, very secure, and provided all the comforts of home. The use of wi-fi and telephone was a real plus. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, it was nice to come back to such a lovely place to watch TV, see a movie, or read a good book - all provided by the owner. We thoroughly enjoyed having a fully equipped kitchen! Our heartfelt "thank you" to the owner, Jean, and Charlie, the caretaker, for a great stay in Paris. Karen and Joe (Atlanta, GA)

  Superb accommodation, just as photos, warm, welcoming, atmosphere, and the location could not be better - minutes from bakeries, butcher shop, natural food store, local produce, astonishing quality frozen food store, wine stores, convenience store, even nearby larger supermarket/department store. In addition, again just minutes from metro Bastille, on main line 1 for most tourist destinations. This was an amazing holiday for my husband, my 14 year old son, and me. We spent 11 days over the Christmas holidays, living in this delightful condo as comfortable as if we were at home. The owner even had a Christmas tree up for us. To add to the quality of the property itself, and the extraordinary location, the property manager, Charles, makes you feel like you are visiting a cousin. He was exceptionally helpful with numerous e-mail inquiries up to our arrival. He met us after an unexpectedly long trip, in the foyer with a trademark hug, and not only walked us through the accommodation, but was easily accessible all through our stay. He even set up our taxi for departure day. This was our very first experience with VRBO and we are very impressed. We have recommended this particular property to close friends who are planning a spring trip. We may return ourselves, just to really take advantage of the amazing terrace off the kitchen! Thanks for everything!
