  I do not often post reviews, but this rental was so beautiful and the hospitality so warm that it warranted me taking the time to do so. The unit is spacious, well appointed, and brings you to another time of New Orleans. We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place.

  Photo's do not do it justice! It was a great place for 6 adults to stay. Reasonable walk to French Quarter, however bus stop right by house takes minutes to French Quarter or Central Business District. Place was beyond clean and charming. Would and will be staying here again. The owner lives in front of property and was awesome to our crew. I can not say enough about this place.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

  This cottage is perfect for four adults who want to explore the French Quarter by foot without being in the middle of the action. We arrived by car which remained parked in the secure and lovely yard until our departure four days later. The well appointed cottage is laid out so that each couple has privacy in addition to comforable spaces for sharing daily adventures over a well earned glass of wine. Although we chose not to cook meals we found the kitchen to be well equiped. The owner, whose home is located next door to the cottage, is a long time resident of the community and New Orleans. She was always accessible and willing to answer any questions or concerns. We found her restaurant recommendations to be wonderful and authentically New Orleans. As described in other reviews the cottage is located in a real New Orleans community rather than a tourist location so first impressions can be somewhat negative.However In our opinion this location added to our trip by providing us with a glimpse of a community rebuilding itself after Katrina. We would definitely recommend this property to other travelers.

  We were first time visitors to New Orleans and were looking for a quiet place, close to dining and sightseeing. This cottage fit the bill. It is spotlessly clean with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also a fold out couch in the living area and a kitchen with full size appliances. The gated parking area is an extra plus for keeping your vehicle tucked away and safe. The neighbors are helpful and friendly and may even invite you to a BBQ or two! It is a little bit of a walk to the French Quarter, but we rented bicycles and were able to get around town with ease. The owner lives on the next street, but her back yard shares the lovely, peaceful garden area with the cottage. The owner is very accomodating and provided us with all the information we needed about activities, attractions and restaurants. This was a lovely cottage to come home to after a day of sightseeing or a night of partying. We will definitely stay here again when we return to NOLA.

  My 2 children and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home during Quaterfest in April. It was just perfect for us and we were comfortable and happy throughout. Our hostess was wonderful and helpful. We were able to walk to the events without having to stay among the crowds. When we returned home it was relaxing and peaceful. The house was spacious, clean, and well laid out for the 3 of us. I would recommend this to folks looking for a bit more room and something out of the fray yet authentic New Orleans.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  My two girlfriends and I stayed here for a girls weekend getaway. We were hesitant at first, but it turned out to be a great stay! The cottage was a clean and unique. Ms. Pat was super sweet and very accommodating. The cottage provided us with everything we needed. The neighbors were nice, too. The location was convenient to the French Quarter and you could easily walk there, but I recommend walking only during daylight hours. The only problem we had with the area was getting pizza delivery. I would definitely stay here again!

  This place was great for our two couples. We enjoyed using the yard for our morning coffee, and spreading out in the house after a long day. This was our second stay here because we loved it so much the year before.

  As soon as Pat opened the gates we knew we stumbled upon something truly special - our own private little sanctuary. The cottage is nestled in a fragrant tropical garden with fruit trees, jasmine, gardenias, and herbs. There is even a little sculpture garden that leads to her house on the same property. The cottage itself is beautifully restored and decorated with great antiques and comfortable beds. It's ideally situated right outside the french quarter & if you are in town for jazz fest it's only about a mile & 1/2 away. not to mention it has easy access to the highway for the airport and trips outta town. Even though we had all been to NOLA many times, Pat gave new & amazing suggests of places to visit & of course, eat at. Do not miss the Fried Chicken & Gumbo as Lil Dizzy's Cafe. Also, the fried green tomatoes & shrimp remolade @ Liuzza's in Mid City! Pat has restored many cottages in the area. She is amazing woman & major part of the rebirth of Treme. We will return with out a doubt!

  My best friend from college talked me into staying in a home, not a hotel, outside of the Quarter. I was skeptical on all counts. However, from the minute I stepped through the gate to the minute I left, I was extremely satisfied. The home is good sized. The kitchen is beyond adequate. The entire home was immaculately clean. The antique furnishings were both beautiful and comfortable. The beds were AMAZING! The gardens, even in early January, were still in bloom, with citrus fruits, flowers, and herbs readily available. Books and painting lent to the relaxing atmosphere. The owner (and next door neighbor) was gracious; always just a phone call away, but never obtrusive. She was a fount of wealth, when it came to recommendations for nearly anything we needed. We were able to walk everywhere, from the Quarter, to City Park and its lovely grounds and the NO Museum of Art, to a dizzying number of great restaurants and shops. The photos do not begin to do this lovely home justice. I will stay here every time I come to NOLA, as long it's not already booked!

  This is a delightful cottage in which to stay when visiting New Orleans at any time of the year. It is very well maintained, is surrounded by lovely gardens and has the feel of Old World charm. Walk to Lil Dizzy's for breakfast, dine in some of the most fabulous restaurants found anywhere, especially Bayonas and Degas, or cook a meal or two in the well appointed kitchen. We recommend riding the St.Charles streetcar from beginning to end and back again for a leisurely tour through interesting neighborhoods. I recommend this property everyone I know who is going to the Big Easy!
