About the owner: My name is Greg. What started off as a weekend getaway for me, Topsail Island has now become my home. I work with a local real estate company here on the island, Seashore Realty Group, Inc. managing vacation rentals for others and also selling real estate. Why the Owner Chose Surf City:
I had always wanted to live at the beach. When it became feasible that I might purchase something in 2003, I started looking from the southern NC coast all the way up to Atlantic Beach. After checking out a number of beaches, I began to settle in on Topsail Island in 2004. The qualities that brought me here were: some commercial businesses but not enough to consider it commercialized like Myrtle Beach, good restaurants, short drive to Wilmington, family atmosphere, 'down-to-earth' local people, easy drive to the Triangle, clean beach, good fishing, and good access. Its a great place to live and play.

Wilmington is just 30 minutes away where you can find lots of sight seeing if interested. Topsail Island is easy to get to from Interstate I-40. There are lots of local shopping and great restaurants. Surf City is home to quite a few local artists who have their galleries here. The beach is not too crowded during the summer. With a mild climate, the island can be enjoyed from early spring until late fall. Fishing from the beach and pier is among some of the best on the NC coast. You have everything you need here without it being a 'commercialized' beach. It has a local and 'laid-back' flavor.
