Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Having sailed along Lake Michigan for years, we told ourselves 'someday we're going to live on the west side of Michigan.' That 'someday' happened in 1995 with a job change for Ron and the subsequent move for our family to the White Lake area of West Michigan. For Cathy, the career change involved buying a Bed & Breakfast, another dream come true. Now we are just a short walk to our boat and get to enjoy the beauty of White Lake and Lake Michigan all the time! ---- Cathy and Ron
Why the Owner Chose Montague:
After hosting numerous guests from all over the world, we discovered that while most guests enjoyed the B&B atmosphere, some guests wanted more space and the flexibility of a house while visiting this wonderful area. In 2007, we purchased a vintage house in Montague (just a mile from our White Swan Inn B&B) and Swan Cottage was born. We have added Swan at Stonehearth for an additional relaxing getaway.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
While Swan Cottage and Swan at Stonehearth are not on the water, there are several choice locations that are just a short drive to watch the sunset, view the boats traversing the channel from Lake Michigan to White Lake, build sand castles and splash in the water. Pet-friendly Swan Cottage offers 'city dogs' a chance to lie in the sun and roll in the grass in a safe fenced-in yard. And the front porch indulges the opportunity to read, nap or do nothing at all.
