This apartment provides real value for those who rent it; we spent four nights here in March and were well satisfied. It is properly represented in the listing description. The location is convenient to two underground/metro stations (no more than ten minutes walk). Groceries are available at Unimarc and two other supermarkets as well. Excellent building security, and a staff ready to help in any way. Things you should know: The apartment is small, but well furnished. No place to store your luggage, so be prepared to work around it. Large tv with cable, and strong wifi (ask owner for code before arrival to save time). Comfortable bed. No air conditioning, but even on the hot summer days we didn't miss it. Good ventilation on the 16th floor! The apartment was very clean when we arrived, but be prepared: no soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, etc. Bath towels and bedding provided, of course. Perhaps the cleaning service was more thorough than they should have been?! Just be prepared to provide everything you need for the kitchen and bath, but there are plenty of dishes, glasses, and cooking utensils for basic meals. You will enjoy staying here, and the value is hard to beat!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.
Owner response: THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENTS. IT'S REALY APRECIATE ROLLAND

We stayed here for one month during January-February 2012 and even extended by a few nights at the end which the owner was happy to do since it was available. He responded quickly via email and was pleasant to deal with. The kitchen is perfect to make meals at home, and the bedroom is spacious and comfortable. The bed is nice and we slept well (though you may wake up with the sun since the curtains are light colored). The living room is comfortable and has a good tv with Spanish and English channels. The wifi was solid, and the gym in the building was convenient though minimal (5 cardio machines, 2 weight machines). The pool is small but good for a quick dip in the summer. Very secure property. Elevator always works. Laundry in the building is $2200 CH pesos per load, self-service. It is a 9-10 minute walk to Santa Lucia metro stop. I highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.

We stayed 5 days in late Ded-early Jan 2012 in this well equiped apartment. The view from the 15th floor apartment windows was spectacular particularly at midnight on New Years when the city lit up with a firework display than lasted for a whole hour. We were within walking distance of city center and most of the major sites. The front desk is manned 24hrs a day and the staff were all very helpful in suggesting restaurants in the area and answering general questions. The hop-on hop-off bus was a great way of seeing the city and the free tour given for tips only was very worthwhile. The apartment is small but very comfortable for the two of us. The value was unbelievable. I had no problem with payments, which were all done through paypal. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: THANK YOU VERY MUCH M. WILSON. I APPRECIATE VERY MUCH YOUR COMMENT. THANKS ALOTE, WELCOME AGAIN. ROLLAND

Coming to Santiago? Consider renting this terrific apartment! It's in the middle of everything, with very obliging folks on the front desk. It has everything you need to relax after a long day of sightseeing. In addition, the view of the mountains is spectacular! The owner was most helpful--constantly responding promptly to my questions (and there were many!)! Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed in the apartment for over a week and found it to be very comfortable for 3 adults. It had everything we needed and was in a convenient location to Metro, small market, laundry, etc. The building staff was very helpful and the owner very responsive to our questions and request to extend our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

I paid deposit with western union May 6--while I was traveling in Chile a month later I received email saying the money was not paid & I did not have the receipts with me in Chile. Following up with owner has been difficult. Fortunately I did have my receipts at home. I have yet to resolve this.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 8/8
