  My husband two daughters (6-1/2 and 3-1/2) and I spent two weeks at the M and M Sweet Hideaway while visiting family and friends. The unit is very clean with a full kitchen and spacious enough for all of us. The starter breakfast lasted us a few days, which was nice since we didn't arrive until 8:30 at night. Boogie boards, beach towels and a barbeque were also provided. There is no laundry on site, but the laundromat is a short drive away. The location is ideal for a walk to the beach, a long walk to the center of Kailua and quick access to the highway (use the H3 extension to avoid traffic through town. Having grown up in the next town, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of information provided by the hosts regarding local gardens, hiking trails and parks; they were many that I had not heard about. We were also fortunate to have the owner's daughter in residence and scheduled two private yoga sessions (with little ones running around and joining in occasionally). We wish her the best in her upcoming relocation. We highly recommend this vacation unit and hope you enjoy your stay.

  Unit is clean, tastefully furnished, and quiet. The kitchen is equipped with exactly what we needed, including attractive dishware and flatware, utensils, and cookware. Walk to the beach is easy, and the beach lives up to its spectacular billing. We heartily recommend this property.

  It was a pleasure staying in your vacation unit while we were in Kailua in April, 2012. My daughter and I were glad we decided to stay away from the Waikiki madness even though it would have been more conveniently located for visiting my son and his family. We enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere and the small town feel as well as the lovely beaches nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we appreciated the privacy and security. Thank you as well for providing the basics for breakfast and the helpful information in your handy three ring binder.

  We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. It was very clean and well maintained. It was a great place to come back and relax after a day of hiking and driving around the island. We would open the windows for a gentle breeze and listen to Hawaiian music, What a treat. The location is close to the beach and to downtown Kailua. The owner was very helpful with information on good restaurants and directions to the beach, etc. We definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative, and look forrward to future stays.

  If you are looking for a clean, quiet, safe, and comfortable place to stay while in Kailua, then this cozy unit is for you! My family and I were completely satisfied with our stay. Malcolm and Maribeth are friendly, accommodating and respectful hosts. They even provided a freshly cut and decorated, Christmas tree in the unit for our arrival - very thoughtful! The location is just right if you enjoy a short walk to the beautiful beach. Thank you, Malcolm and Maribeth, for a lovely stay! We hope to come visit again!

  We would unconditionally recommend M&M Hideaway in Kailua. The owners were friendly, welcoming and informative. The apartment was spotless, quiet and relaxing. While we only needed a one bedroom accommodation, we were delighted to have a spacious sitting room with eating area and equipped kitchen. The property was ideally located close to beaches, the town of Kailua and within easy commute to the North Shore or Honolulu. We highly recommend this secluded, secure and delightful spot.

  Our family highly recommends this apartment for everybody. It is fashionable and cozy inside, and very safe and quiet outside. My 8-year old son loved the beach that is only 7 minutes away from the apartment.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
