  We had such fun at LML's cottage at Dillon Beach in early November. The house has everything you'd want or need, comfortable and clean. It is only a 3 minute walk down to the beach, which is truly a scenic beach. Part sand, part dunes and cliffs, and a good collection of haystack rocks on the north end. We found the kitchen well-stocked with spices, staples for cooking, and many sauces and condiments already there in the fridge. Pots and pans in all sizes for you chefs as well. We didn't get cellphone reception or much success with the wi-fi system they have, but that's not why we came to the beach! We had a group of six: 2 toddlers and 4 adults. There were good beds and bedrooms for all, plus two baths. We especially appreciated the "playroom" for the kids and all their stuff. The owner very kindly left a lovely hospitality basket for us at the beginning of our stay. There were other loving touches throughout the house as well which we really enjoyed. If you stay here, get out and enjoy Tomales and some of the other little beachfront communities nearby, plus Pt. Reyes and the beautiful Tomales Bay.

  Hi, I we just want to say ttat we have stayed in many Dillon Beach properties over the last 20 years. This is by far the best. This is our third year at this house and plan to return often. It is cozy, very comfortable, kitchen is well stocked and this year they added an outdoor grill. The furnishings are really nice and each bedroom has its own charm. There is internet access. There is also a great place down stairs that has a trundle bed and was great for our girls. They just loved having'their own space. It has a fenced yard for our dog and parking along side house as well as'outside of house. Another wonderful detail, is that it is soooooo close to the beach for sunning, surfing and swimming. We look so forward to visiting this great space. The owners are attentive and very helpful as well as always available. It shows that they are proud of their house and should be as it provides everythung one needs for a great beach stay.

  My sister and I took our Mother here for the Mother's Day weekend. It is our second year in a row staying in this wonderful little place for the holiday. This "home" is a lot bigger than it looks and it is nicely furnished and has very comfortable sleeping quarters. The two bedrooms upstairs are comfortable and have ocean views, and the downstairs room would be great for kids! And there were lots of board games to play. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything you would need and the quality of the kithchenware is really nice! There was even a gift basket with treats waiting for us when we arrived! THANK YOU LESLEE!!! I have rented several places on VRBO, and I must admit that this is one of the best! Leslee is so wonderful and very friendly. The transaction was really easy and if you rent this place you will not be sorry! In fact, you can get spoiled as to how great it really is. We will be back again...

  We stayed at this wonderful cottage for a week in April for a family vacation. This house is so clean, newly updated so everything feels fresh, and beautifully decorated. It was such a joy to stay here. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean and cozy. There was one problem when we tried to run a bath, not really a big deal. But we called the owners and they were so helpful and apologetic, they took care of it right away. If you are thinking of staying here you can plan on it being wonderful but also have the assurance that if anything does happen to go wrong you will be in good hands! I hope we have a chance to come back soon. Thank you for offering such a great rental.

  This Cozy Cottage is so nice! Cozy and clean and just right for relaxing. Owners were especailly helpful and answered all questions. Great location--short walk to the village and the beach.

  Do not be fooled by the plain exterior! This 'cozy cottage' is truly a joy to stay in. The open plan in the kitchen and living room is unpretentious but warm, simple and Leslee and Matt have a keen eye for little details that just are perfect; a wonderful blend of antique, antique-looking and modern. There are lots of architectural embellishments without being too cutesy and overdone. Great lighting throughout that is either task specific or mood-oriented. There are four doors into the house! The kitchen has warm brick red tile with a hunter green trim that has then been carried into the upstairs bathroom [which is quite roomy, by the way]. The downstair "water closet" is spaceous and has whimsical "hand-held" towel bars - white ceramic hands holding the bars...Downstairs, the game room/rumpus room/trundle bed room is very spaceous, but don't jump up and down if you are over 5'7". The low ceiling makes the room very cozy indeed, but the size of the room itself is quite large and has more great touches such as wonderful wall fixtures and a door out to a tiny yard with reflection balls and sculpture set out. There is a staircase up to the second floor with wood steps and smooths walls. The two bedrooms are functional, comfortable and very different! The back room [the white bedroom, we called it] has three large windows. The window that faces the cliff house dwellings has no curtain but a huge hedge along the back fence where you can lay in bed and see the sky but not be seen [even prancing around deshabille]. You are waked in the morning by gradually increasing daylight. The beds are queen size and so very comfortable. No closet in this room but a big builtin corner cupboard in the front room you would share. [As a kid I would have wanted to sleep in there...it's big enough.] My sister and brother in law had the front room and were quite comfy there. I would say the rooms are pretty sound proof, but I'm not sure. I brought ear plugs and never heard bro-in-law snore of the grandbaby cry. I can't say enough good things about Cozy Cottage. We were SO fortunate to find this home for this particular weekend. Our niece and her hubby had a one-year recommittment ceremony on the beach and my hubby officiated. A very large amount of the blended families stayed in Dillon Beach, but even with the "castles on the hill", people who stopped by said we had the best place to stay, and we totally agree. Thanks Leslee and Matt!! [p.s.There are deer, a little store and cafe.]

  This "cottage" was a lot bigger than I thought and I really liked that it was nicely furnished, had charming accents and didnt feel old and run down. I liked that the kids had their own space to hang out in and that the bedrooms were far enough away from the living room that we didnt feel like we were disturbing anyone who wanted to go to bed early. And so close to the beach! Will definitely come back.

  We have spent so many years being open minded and flexible with the costly cabins in the village. It seems we are always paying a little more (often a lot more) and getting a little less than we really wanted. But it was worth the sacrifice of continuing our family tradition of staying at Dillon Beach. This is NOT the case at the Cozy Cottage! It has all the amenities of the expensive homes on the hill with the convenience and coziness of the village. It is beautifully and tastefully decorated without being loaded with "beachy" fish plates and crabbing nets hanging from the walls, as many other cabins are. It is open and inviting and has plenty of space for relaxing. We enjoyed the comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen and especially the free wi-fi! Are we really at the same beach we spent so many years shivering at in wet sandy jeans? I didn't even WANT to go to the beach, I could have spent our entire time enjoying the indoors. And the owners were so hospitable! There was even a gift basket with treats waiting for us when we arrived! The cozy cottage didn't feel like a rental at all, more like we were borrowing a private beach home from close friends. It has spoiled all other cabins for us at Dillon Beach. We will be back for sure!

  I just loved this house! It had plenty of room, almost too much for just the two of us! I can see a whole family spread out and still feeling spacious. Loved that there was a bathroom on the first and second floor. The decorations were great, very tasteful. I enjoyed the ocean view from the west windows, easy walking distance. (Of course it was raining when we were there, so not too much beach time.) The owners were great to work with, the transaction was very easy. Would recommend to friends and would go back again! Loved it!

  Our family was lucky enough to rent this great beach house recently. We were so pleased with this charming house, we can't wait to go back! The decor in the house is so great, easy, comfortable and stylish. We loved that the house was open and the kitchen and the dining and living areas were all connected. The "game room" is perfect for the kids, ours wanted to be in there all the time and it was located downstairs so that we were able to keep an eye on them. The upstairs bedrooms are beautifully decorated, peaceful and uncluttered. Perfect for a quiet vacation. The owners have done such a great job fixing up this house, we were very impressed. The house was stocked with everything we need but, not hand-me down junky stuff like many of the other rentals. We had beautiful linens and nice appliances and the furniture was great. Most of the rentals have you bring your own linens and towels so having them provided was so nice! The house is equipped with a beautiful flat panel TV, DVD player and even internet! Nearly impossible to get in the village. There were 2 TV's in the game room as well as a DVD player which was perfect for the kids. We have rented MANY houses in the village and this is by far the best house for a family. Dealing with Leslie was so easy, she was accomodating and thoughtful. Much different than dealing with the agencies that handle most of the other rentals. I am already planning our next trip to Dillon and can't wait to stay at the Cozy Cottage!
