Rockaway Beach house description
Experience the beach at your feet like no other place on the coast!!! The "Majestic Dream" home is possibly the "most luxurious home" on the beach and could easily be on the cover of numerous home magazines.
Majestic is a new, two-story home that is open, spacious with a reverse living design (main living and kitchen are on the upper floor). The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a full view of the magnificent Oregon Coast. If you truly want it all, "Majestic Dream" is for you!!!
Majestic Dream is a 4-plus-bedroom, 4-bath, two-kitchen home which is designed into two units. Both units are available together for your family to enjoy, or for a second family member or friend who want a private area. An inside door can be used for privacy or passage.
The upstairs unit features full views from the master bedroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, and outside deck. A gas fireplace is located in the dining/living area. A gourmet kitchen with restaurant-style equipment, large SubZero refrigerator, separate salad sink, and granite countertop is perfect for fine dining or simply tasting wine. This unit also has a second bedroom with a king bed, full bath, and laundry facilities.
The lower unit has a full view from the kitchen, dining, and living areas. A gas fireplace is located in the living area. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and the full bath is located next to the bedroom.
The lower floor has a 4th bedroom with a triple bunk on one side of the room (Full bed on bottoom, twin bed on top, with a pull out twin bed under the full bed). Then there is a twin bed on the opposite side of the room. This room sleeps 6. A full bath is located just a few steps away from this bedroom.
Both units have access directly to the beach and the lower deck. The hot tub is located on the lower deck with a full ocean view.

VRBO Bear stayed here:
Upon arrival in the relaxed, seaside town of Rockaway, we were ready to kick back, relax and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of West Coast living. The rather plain exterior of this oceanside home did not prepare us for the beautifully decorated and quality furnished interior. Everything was top-notch from the granite counter tops in the kitchen to the plush couches in the living room. This home features floor to ceiling windows, which offer spectacular views from just about every room in the house.
Just a few steps away is the beautiful Pacific ocean. We enjoyed taking long walks along the beach, collecting shells and star fish, splashing in the waves, and even made a campfire and roasted marshmallows one night. The kids enjoyed making sand castles with the provided buckets, shovels and castle making tools.
Nearby Tillamook, known for it’s famous cheese factory offers clamming, crabbing, Salmon and bottom fishing. Anyone who enjoys shopping will have to visit the Lincoln City outlet mall and be sure to stop at the many antique stores along the way. Not to often does a bear get to go horseback riding. We found a wonderful tour guide to take us on an hour-long horseback ride along the beach.
If you are looking to relax, back at the house you can curl up on one of the couches, read a book and soak in the great views. Did I mention "soak-in?" Relaxing in the hot tub was a great way to wind-down after an exciting day of fun filled activities.
For meal time the large, fully equipped gourmet kitchen was wonderful. Everything from durable pots and pans to spices were included. If eating out is your thing. When it’s time for bed, this bear thought the plush, king-size beds were "just right." There were plenty of beds to sleep all of us comfortably and 4 bathrooms, so we didn’t have to fight over shower time. The master bathroom even has a huge walk-in shower with 3 showerheads!
Whether you are looking to have a relaxing getaway or a fun filled family vacation I would highly recommend "Majestic Dreams." After staying at this large, spacious home I will never go back to staying in bear cave hotels again!
Signed, VRBO Bear
Hot tub didn't work
Hot tub didn't work
The house is OK, a little run down, but the poor review is because the hot tub did not work (at all) and the owner refused to refund any of our rental fee. The hot tub is a big part of our coming down for the weekend.

Owner response: This is a very nice home that gets a lot of positive reviews. Those reviews are based on the fact that we are more than happy to repair any problems associated with the home or make other arrangements for our guests despite the fact that there are issues outside of our control. The majority of our guests enjoy the comfort, cleanliness, and overall condition of the home.
July 20th ~ 27th, 2013 Eight adults and five small children from KY and TN flew to Oregon for a great adventure. The “Majestic Dream” turned out to be just as it was booked. We loved our week there and will carry with us the memories from our family time together. The view from anywhere in the living, dining, kitchen, and deck area on the upper floor is amazing. The house is roomy, clean, and comfortable. The lower kitchen and den area made a perfect place for the children to have their own space for activities, and the upper kitchen has everything you might need. The beach is beautiful – clean and windswept and for all purposes private. The location was perfect for us. Rockaway is a small old fashion town in an ideal location for those who would like to explore to beautiful coast. Rockaway has an antique steam engine train the children loved and the best ice cream shop that demanded daily visits. Fresh wonderful fish is available from a local coop a few miles to the south. Live crabs, steamer clams, and oysters are available a few miles to the north. We all went crabbing in two boats from Kelly’s marina. The marina cooked out catch and we ate on the point around the fire – wonderful food and time. Oswald State Park is to the north 25 minutes and is breathtaking. Short Sand Beach at Oswald SP is a great place to tide pool during low tide. Cape Mears and several other SPs made a great ride to Pacific City and the sand dunes for the three that brought their bikes. Cannon Beach is a nice trip to the north, but we were ready to return to our heaven after lunch. Thank you Jerry for sharing “Majestic Dream”. We loved it!!!! PS – Did I say the weather was perfect!

Beautiful View Fun for Whole Family!
Beautiful View Fun for Whole Family!
Our East Coast family came out to visit the rest of the family and a new baby out in Portland, we planned a trip to the Coast with everyone! We stayed with the whole family, including an 8 year old and an infant and all had a wonderful time. Even through a rainy week! The view is postcard perfect and the home has all the amenities for a relaxing stay. All the rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds and full bathrooms for everyone. Our son loved the bunk room! TV's in each room so no fighting over the channels ;) Lots n lots of windows so that we could enjoy the view from everywhere in the house. There are miles of sandy beach to explore and a nice sandy spot right in front of the house for the kids to safely play! We even saw seals playing in the surf one morning! There's lots to see and do up and down the coast. We took a couple trips North to Seaside and Astoria and found lots to do and good food to eat! We ran into a little glitch at the end of our trip because of Hurricane Sandy back home and the owner was most accommodating in letting us extend our stay. Our family in Oregon will definitely be recommending this home to others and may even stay again themselves!

Wonderful stay, great rooms, view, comfort. We all had a great time, Oldies, me, to little ones. Lots of space, room for personal space as well as family fun. Loved the easy beach access, as well as the immediate sand out the back door, great for the kids. Hot tub was clean, hot, with a beautiful view. Could have used a blind on the hot tub, deck area, the evenings are beautiful, but blinding. Luxury beds, and bedding in the 3 main rooms. Superb master bath, shower. Needs a new hide-a-bed. Not usable Kitchen, very nice, with all necessities. A lovey, getaway. Would do it again. Recommend it to others. Worth the $$$$

What a wonderfull view and great location for storm watching. We spend a week here and found it comfortable, relaxing, and quiet. There were a few minor problems, but these were addressed by the owner in a satisfactory manor. I would certainly recomend this property as a great beach destination.

Why the Owner Chose Rockaway Beach:
This home is located directly on the beach. It is great to be able to run out the front door and down to the ocean without rocks, roads, or any other obstruction. The home is located along a street where there are no hotels or multi family dwellings causing heavy traffic or crowds. This results in a very "private" beach area. The pictures of the home really don't do it justice. To sit in the living room and look out the full length windows provides a view that very few homes have.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The 2 living areas provide a separate space that is great for privacy. This could be for another family, elderly parents, or in my case, a place for my boys to go and play games while the adults make dinner, or just relax and read. The lower living area can be closed off by interior doors which really makes it private. Directly in front of the home is the largest sand box you will find. It is perfect for small children who need supervision but want to play directly in the sand.
