  Lovely house, close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle of town. The house was equipped with everything one would need. We were there for only a week end but I plan to return for a longer stay in the near future.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

  Well appointed and updated cottage in Cape May. My wife, three year old daughter and sister-in-law throughly enjoyed the place. There were toys and books for our three year old, updated kitchen and bathrooms and plenty of space for all of us. The cottage is full of light and has a beautiful back yard. The owners were very responsive to two minor concerns and overall our stay was quite pleasant. We would certainly go back again!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  We especially enjoyed the outside shower when coming back from the beach. Trips to the beach were also made easy with the locker provided. The house was neat and well organised. It had many drawers, lots of closet space, hooks in all the right places and extra pillows and covers to get comfortable. It was truly appreciated to have a kid channel available and the outside BBQ with a large backyard. I also got to enjoy the balcony as there were rocking chairs to relax in. The cooking utensils very numerous and in good condition. Great also to have an icemaker with the freezer (it was very usefull). Having two bathrooms and appliances that looked brand new was again a big plus. A few suggestions for the owner: the mattress in the master bedroom could have been more comfortable. Also, it would be nice to know in advance that cleaning fees were extra. Finally, there were VSH movies but only one DVD. We didn't get any rain during our stay so it wasn't a problem but other renters might enjoy a wider selection of films (or bring their own). Thanks again for providing a beautiful cottage in which my family had a wonderful stay.

  Owner response: Thanks so much for the review. I just want to clarify our cleaning policy. We don't include cleaning fees in our rental price because we don't require renters to pay for cleaning. We ask that renters leave the property as clean as they found it and give them the option of either cleaning the house themselves or hiring the cleaning service directly.

  This cottage is even more lovely than the photos. It is charming and user friendly with all the essentials that make a rental a home away from home. We loved that it was located in a nice quiet neighborhood just a short walk or drive to many shops and restaurants, light houses, parks, etc. It was too chilly for swimming or sitting on the beach when we were there but the home was so comfortable and there was so much to do nearby that we didn't care. Next time we rent the cottage we hope to be able to eat in the backyard using the nice outdoor furniture not shown in the photos. The front porch was perfect for reading and relaxing. It was very clean, open and airy and very well decorated in addition to being well equipped. The owners are very friendly and made us feel like welcomed guests which is why we plan on returning next year.

  Our family spent a long week-end at this fabulous cottage in W. Cape May. The listing accurately described the cottage, but it far exceeded our expectations! The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had regarding our stay. I would and have recommended this property to friends who might be traveling to the East coast. The beach was great, though a little busy, and Cape May has many restaurants for dining out. The cottage has a gas grill which we used for a special dinner. I have absolutely no reservations recommending this property to anyone.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  Great place. Well kept up and very quiet. Loved. May not be right on the beach but well worth the walk.

  We stayed in the small charming cottage in July. We have a family of five (2 teenagers and one 10 year old) and we were very comfortable. The street is very quiet( great for sleeping in) and a great place for kids to ride their bikes. We found everything in the cottage to be in working order. There is a nice front porch to relax and nice back yard for kids to play in. Like they mentioned, the distance to the beach is one mile. What we did, was drive down and unload and drove back and rode a bike back. They also provided 4 passes to the beach and a storage place down on the beach. The owner contacted us shortly after our return home and sent the security deposit to us in about a week. We enjoyed Cape May especially the beaches, shopping, lighthouse, and restaurants. The sunsets at Cape May Point were great. We would recommend the cottage and the area.
