Take a break and relax in a large comfortable house on the base of Massanutten Mountain in the beautiful Shenandandoah Valley. Perfect for couples, families or small groups of up to eight people. The Shenandoah Retreat has 1 queen bedroom, and 3 bedrooms with 2 twins in each. It is a ten minute walk through the woods to the winding Shenandoah River for wading, swimming, fishing or the enjoyment of nature and the abundant wildlife. Use the nearby outfitters to canoe or tube the river. The town of Luray with a movie theater, antique shops, restaurants and stores as well as Lurav Caverns are 15 minutes away as are golf and tennis. Hiking is available nearby or you can walk along the dirt roads in the valley adjacent to the river. In the fall enjoy the beautiful colors and the large screened in porch with a picnic table, and in winter enjoy the two fireplaces as well as the rec room with a ping pong table, dart board and miniature pool table. The Shenandoah Retreat is completely equipped except for linens and towels which guests are asked to bring.
