Very happy to provide a testimonial for 40 rue des rosiers. My daughter arrived earlier than me- very tired after a a transatlantic flight-and problems with Paris taxis-BUT she was met by an extremely helpful rep from Paris address who showed her the apt-the internet, washing machine etc-and she was able to nap before I arrived. The apartment couldn't be in a better location. a couple of doors away from the BEST falafell cafe in Paris-but also surrounded by great shops, bars, restaurants-we recommend Chez Josephine and Jaja -just a block away is truly amazing. Easy access to the Metro-again less han 5 mins walk and the Latin Quarter-just over the bridges. The Marais is a wonderful location in itself. The apartment is bright with wonderful windows overlooking the busy street below. It even has a bath! I would definitely stay here again-very happy to recommend it!Did you find this review helpful? We recently stayed at 40 Rue des Rosiers and found it to be a wonderful apartment to stay in while visiting Paris. the location is convenient - a short walk to St Paul station and within walking distance from the Seine. It's right in the heart of the Jewish quarter in the Marais, with lots of falafel eateries that are open late. There are a couple of grocery stores / general stores within blocks from this apartment. The apartment itself was quite charming - small, clean and adequately furnished. We were travelling with our toddler and found the apartment very comfortable. The pictures on this website gave a true representation of the space. Having an equiped kitchen meant that we could cook a quick breakfast / toddler food, etc. WiFi access was also a big plus. The only slight negative was that the bath tub / shower was rather high - would be okay for most people, but might be an issue for people with mobility concerns. Overall, we'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience apartment living in Paris.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed in this apartment for three nights in mid June 2011 and LOVED it. It was fantastic. The apartment can sleep five but is probably better for a couple with/without children. Two couples would be two much as the bathroom is quite small. Its on the first floor so easy to get to. Re. noise, yes it is a bit noisy but if you want quiet, don't choose to stay in the Marais. We have a one year old and it was perfect for us. There are lots of fantastic deli's and cafes close by. We are already planning our next trip!Did you find this review helpful? Both the service provided by parisaddress and the appartment are excellent, and we will definitely go back to this agency. (We stayed there in June). The problem is noise : the rue des rosiers is not so quiet, because it is popular with tourists, and there are two trendy shops ("Eleven Paris" and "Lee") that play techno and rock music all day practically every day until 8 PM, right below the second floor appartment, while a group of young tenants also plays loud music anytime day or evening in the back (bedroom side). They live on the 4th floor but the space between buildings acts like an echo chamber, where you can hear everything. So that, to sum up : we will _definitely_ go back to Parisaddress, but do not recommend this otherwise nice and beautifully located place unless you can live with almost constant noise.Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I stayed for a week in May. The apartment was all it appeared to be on the website (I spent weeks choosing) - cosy, close to all activity in this wonderful area. Perfect size for a couple, very homely and full of light and warmth during the day. The wireless connection was an added bonus as was the bathtub! We will be using Paris Address again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The apartment has an amazing location. As a Jewish family (2 adults, 1 small child) in Paris for Chanukah, it was ideal. We just crossed the street each day to buy Ponchkys from the amazing Jewish deli, Florence Finkelstajn. And of course, we had falafel at L'As Du Falafel. The apartment has amazing high ceilings and huge windows looking down onto the street. Rue des Rosiers is very quiet by night. We were only disturbed a few nights out of a 14 night stay by the upstairs neighbours who like their music loud. In general, the apartment is well priced and very warm and the kitchen is fine. The owner has lots of nice Japanese/ Chinese dinnerware which we enjoyed. The hot water in the bathroom was also very hot when we stayed but there turned out to be a problem with the water tank which Paris Address fixed as soon as we alerted them - that was causing the boiling water temperature. They also responded within hours to the gas canister running out re the cooker. The wireless connection was handy. The only real downside of the apartment was the lack of an oven (though they have a microwave) which prevented any major cooking and the landline phone which wont receive international calls (only in/ out local). Overall, you can't beat Rue des Rosiers as a location - we would stay in this apartment again without hesitation. Still miss Florence FInkelstajn's pastries!Did you find this review helpful? I've stayed in this apartment with my husband and baby daughter for a week in October and we loved it. The location is perfect, at the heart of the Marais, and just upstairs from "the best falafel in the world". There are many quaint shops, restaurants and cafés nearby, and there are many patisseries to choose from and a small supermarket nearby. The street is quite busy, especially on weekends, when it becomes an exclusively pedestrian street, and can become a little bit noisy (but fine if you close the windows). It is a short walking distance from the Beaubourg, Place des Vosges and Île-de-St.-Louis. You can also easily reach the Notre Dame and even the Quartier Latin if you feel up to a longer walk. The apartment is very charming, at the first floor of an old building, and has a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. There are only two very minor drawbacks to the place. The first is that, theoretically, the apartment can accomodate four people. There is a bedroom with a double bed plus a double sofabed in the living room, which can accomodate two more people. But the apartment is best for just a couple, or maybe a couple and one or two children. This is because the bathroom can only be accessed through the bedroom and the bedroom has no door, so there isn't much privacy. The other problem is that you must be really careful with the hot water in the taps, especially if you have children - it comes out literally boiling if you turn it on fully! But these are minor problems and I will certainly go back to this apartment if I have the opportunity!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
