We loved everything about our vacation! The house was so pretty and so comfortable my husband didn't want to leave the property. He decided that going to see anything else in Chattanooga would take away from his time at the lake house. It is a very quiet and serene environment and even on the weekend the lake didn't get too busy. I would highly recommend this property for a couple that wants to get away for a romantic weekend on the lake ( and late night jacuzzi dips) or for a family with young children (not toddlers or babies though) that just want to escape city life and take walks, fish, kayak and enjoy the outdoors. I imagine that it must look beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. Note: there aren't a lot of restaurants close by but the kitchen is fully stocked, including beautiful pottery, and cooking isn't so bad when done in this cute kitchen. We ate all our meals on the screened patio because of the beautiful surroundings.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We couldn't have asked for a better home to stay in over the weekend. The weather cooperated so we were able to enjoy all of the amenities the community had to offer. Just a short walk away there is a beach with chairs, boat launch (which we used for kayaking!), playground, and docks with boat slips. The home was perfect for a family with plenty of room for entertaining. The dining room had seating for 6 and the four season room had additional seating. The house was very clean and beautiful artwork was displayed in all of the rooms. The kitchen was well stocked and a BBQ was available for use. The grocery store was about 10 minutes away but not a bad drive at all. We would stay there again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: As an artist I love to travel and have painted all over the world. You will see paintings in our lake house from trips to Italy, Spain, the South Carolina Low Country and the American West. I own an art gallery in Chattanooga and rent the space out for private events such as weddings. I am perfectly comfortable with hosting 250 guests and know you will love our charming house on the lake. I look forward to hosting new guests at the lake and sharing the wonderful location that my family and I have enjoyed for the last 50 years. Our community is a hidden treasure in Chattanooga.
Why the Owner Chose Chattanooga:
We love our little private fishing community and have owned property in this neighborhood for 50 years. Possum Creek is the most perfect spot in our opinion. We love that the lake is rarely crowded-during the week we might see 2 or 3 boats a day. The sunsets over the mountains and reflects into the lake. Watching sunsets is a favorite past time all year round. It is a fabulous place for all kinds of water activities.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The lake is like glass early in the morning and late in the evening - perfect for wake boarding and skiing.
