Kai Lani Oasis
Kai Lani Oasis
Beautiful! Relaxing! Comfortable! Breathtaking! All apply to this wonderful place. My family & I planned our 1st trip to Hawaii and were able to stay for 16 days. Mark's condo @ Kai Lani was the perfect spot for us. The location was great and the landscaping was amazing. The condo had plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out and be super comfortable. There was a garage full of beach supplies for our use, the condo is beautifully decorated, the lanai was relaxing and my mother-in-law, husband and father spent a lot of time there just enjoying the breeze and the birds. The beach or small lagoon was a short walk away and was never crowded. We were able to get in the water and snorkel with sea turtles and hundreds of fish, the water was crystal clear and a great temperature. They call this the dry side of the island and it's totally true. We drove over 1300 miles in our rental van and saw the difference in climate on the other shores. There is a pool and hot tub for guests which was beautifully landscaped. The condo is so close to the new Disney Resort that we walked there and toured the grounds. All I can say is Amazing. There are 4 different lagoons that you can access. We only went to Lagoon 4 one time so my parents could snorkel in more calm waters, there were so many fish and sea turtles there too. The other resorts welcome you to their restaurant's and beaches so feel free to use them. Kai Lani was such a great place to call home and come back to every evening after touring around the island. Mark was easy to communicate with and very helpful. Thanks so much for sharing your piece of paradise with my family. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and relatives. Kai Lani: A little slice of heaven
Kai Lani: A little slice of heaven
6 years ago, my family had the opportunity to stay in Ko Olina, and after a very loooong wait, were able to return to the area for December 2012. This trip we stayed in Kai Lani, and without a doubt, it is the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation we have experienced. A lot has changed in 6 years, and both Ko Olina, and Kapolei are much busier, with a lot more infrastructure, shopping and traffic. Despite being so close to the Ko Olina lagoons, we found ourselves more at our own little beach, than being interested in walking the beautiful walking paths of the full resort. The Kai Lani complex was STUNNING with immaculate grounds that are maintained daily. You will find yourself drawn like a magnet to the ocean and the enormous banyan tree to watch the waves, the sea turtles, the paddle boarders or yet another spectacular sunset. Kai Lani has a beautiful pool / hot-tub / cabana and bbq common area, and is a great way to meet your neighbours while having a dip in the pool, or flipping burgers on the grill. Great restaurants nearby (check out Roy's at the Golf Club) with more opening in the plazas across the street from Lagoon #1. Great shopping (Waikeli Premium Outlets) -- exit 7 on H1, with many Farmer's Markets in the area. Despite being on Oahu during the rainy season, Ko Olina actually receives very little precipitation. Storm clouds form regularly over the Waianai mountains, but then blow over to Honolulu and the east coast. During our month only 1 afternoon of rain: perfect weather. Our condo was beautiufl, with all the comforts of home and Mark, I can't thank you enough for your home available to our family. We can't wait to return for Christmas 2013!

I, my husband, father and mother in law are from HK. We have spent out vacation in Mark's condo for 11days and we enjoyed everything here, the stunning sea view, the green field outside the lanai, all are better than what are shown in the pictures. The place was so clean. It has all the amenities you could ever need. Everything is so terific that my father in law even think of buying a condo in Kai Lani, haha. It only takes 2mins walking to the private lagoon, we fish along the shore almost everyday and got a few snappers!!! The cooking utersils are perfect for us to make diner at home, we enjoyed very much and the fish was delicious!! The only concern is the dish/bowl/pan got stain a bit, we need to wash them again before use, it is not a big problem anyway. When Mark knew that the wifi is not walking, he was really helpful and called the cable company to make sure the line was working, the wifi finally works. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the lovely Ko Olina Thanks Mark for letting us stay at your condo!!

Just got home from our stay in Ko Olina, and we just had to write and thank Mark for a lovely time. Everything in the condo was great, just as listed. It was beautifully furnished, the location was wonderful, and we loved being able to walk down to the lagoons every day. My husband swam laps in lagoon #2 every morning while I snorkeled (I saw sea turtles there every day!) We had a lovely anniversary dinner at the Disney Aulani's AMA AMA, it was amazing. We also got take out from the hawaiian barbeque place at the Ko Olina station and took it down to the private cove for a sunset picnic-- heaven! We really appreciated having the use of the chairs and snorkel equipment, Mark thought of everything. We will definitely recommend your condo to our friends.

Hi Mark!! We've just returned to Canada after spending 2 glorious weeks at your gorgeous condo. The condo is even more amazing than the pictures show. Everything we could possibly need was provided & with great style. We saw turtles every day at the "little" beach & swam with many exotic & beautiful fish at each of the 4 lagoons. We enjoyed the luau at Paradise Cove (within walking distance) as well as the scenic walkway connecting all 4 lagoons. We didn't encounter any problems with President Obama's visit as we left just before his visit; however, we did benefit from the added plantings & beautification (not that they were needed). Thanks again for allowing us to share your piece of paradise. We'll definitely be back. Penny & Jerry

Just wanted to leave you guys a comment on our vacation in your condo last week. We had an awesome time! The condo is nicer in person than the pictures show, it is amazing. We loved the decor and the place was so clean. It has all the amenities you could ever need. We had plenty of room for all of us. The ground is kept very nice and the pool was a great treat after a long day out and about. It is in a great location, not far from anything around the island. We made it all the way around the lsland to see most all of the attractions. We will for sure rent from you guys again and recommend you to others. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful Condo. Jeff and Tara B

Great property at a great location.
Great property at a great location.
We spent a week and a half here with 2 little kids and had a wonderful time. This property is just minutes away from the Ko Olina lagoons, and steps away from a private little beach. It's also within short driving distance from many great restaurants and shops. The place is fully equipped and the decoration is very tasteful. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the lovely Ko Olina.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your review! We're so glad that you had a great time. We hope to see you again soon. Next time you stay the Disney Resort next door should be open. They're going to have several new restaurants to try.
Great Choice for a special event or nice "winter break"!
Great Choice for a special event or nice "winter break"!
I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect place to celebrate our 40th anniversary and we decided Ko Olina would be best. Why? From Alaska, it's only a 5 1/2 hour flight to go from -4 degrees to 80 degrees and spend a "real" 12 hour day of sunshine instead of only 6 hours of light in the winter. It's a great way to get a totally positive attitude. When and if anybody is looking for a "great, close, warm" place to go from here, it's one of our first recommendations. Even if you come from somewhere else, you should check it out! The condo is very classy with nice-sized bedrooms, walk-in closets, a fully equipped kitchen, and an awesome lanai with a clear view of the ocean to watch pods of whales going by as well as beautiful sunsets. The property was always very clean and maintained, and so were the pool and jacuzzi area. In the "beachfront", there is a Huge tree that provides a nice shadowed area if you need a break from the sun- a little sandy area to get your feet wet; plenty of room to have a "private picnic", work on your tan or just enjoy the oceanfront breeze and meditation. It is also kept litter-free with "reminders" to use the trash barrels. One of the best "workouts" we did at least once a day was the walkway that goes from the condos toward the beach access next to the "new Disney Hotel"; then 2 miles past four man-made lagoons to the marina and back again. Each lagoon has a lifeguard, shower, a "nice and clean outhouse"; and a shady area. There are two "waterfront" cafe's with great views and good menu choices. On Sunday morning, we would always go by a spiritual gathering including local music, recognition and happiness in the area between the walkway and ocean. When walking or driving from the condos; turn left at the first entrance-and go across the 4 lane toward the ice-cream shop--(which is also awesome) there's s local "mini-mart" with some of the best appetizers, sandwiches, salads as well as liquor and Hawaiian gifts. At the entrance to the Ko Olina golf course, (even though we don't play golf) we did go to Roy's (one of our favorite restaurants) for lunch a couple of times and they have a great menu and absolutely no waiting when we went about 11:30 on a weekday (good choice!) I was Very impressed when a fly decided to "taste" my white wine and told the waitress, she shook her head and said- "oh geez- they just don't listen to me"; brought another glass and was nice they didn't charge.- (wow!) Check it out!

Owner response: Mike, thank you so much for your kind words regarding our condo! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you can come back and stay again next winter. Roy's is one of our favorite restaurants too. We haven't tried the ice cream shop yet, so we will definitely check it out when we are there next.
What A Great Place!
What A Great Place!
I've stayed here several times. The owners keep the place perfect. The beds are super comfortable. The beach near the condo is terrific for snorkling and turtle spotting. It's well placed for day trips to the North Shore and an easy drive to Honolulu yet far enough off the beaten path to make you feel like you are getting away from it all. It's a short walk to the nearby Marriott resort and Roy's. There are also man-made lagoons nearby that are great for swimming and sunning. The condo is well appointed and very comfortable. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Owner response: Thanks Dr. T! The beds are super comfortable because we have family in the mattress business and we had them shipped from Calfornia. The down pillows and 300 thread count sheets help too. I'm glad that you made use of the snorkel gear. We've seen turtles at that beach every single day and we've also seen dolphins, whales, puffer fish and an octopus. Definitely a great beach to hang out at. I know you will come back again soon!

About the owner: Hi! My Name is Mark and My Family and I have Owned this Property Since it Was Built a Few Years Ago! We Have Only Now Decided to Share Our Beautiful Home with Others. We Have Been Selfishly Keeping it Only to Ourselves and Family and Friends so it is in Immaculate Condition. I Have Family that Live on Oahu as well as Maui, So We Visit Quite Often. My Sister Went To Hawaii on Her Spring Break for the First Year of College Over Thirty Years Ago and Has Since Only Been Back to Califronia a Few Times to Visit. The Love for the Islands Runs Deep in Our Family!!
Why the Owner Chose Ko Olina:
My Family and I have been Traveling to Hawaii for Many, Many Years. We've been to All of the Islands Including Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Kauai, Lanai and, Of Course, Oahu where We Fell In Love with Kai Lani and Ko Olina! We Always Knew that Someday We Would Own Our Own Place in the Islands and Always Debated on Which Island and Which Area we Would Buy. When We First Found Kai Lani in Ko Olina we KNEW that This was What We had been Waiting For! What Sets this Apart from Everywhere Else We Stayed is that it has an Outer Island Feel (Laid Back and Luxurious), Yet has All of the Amenities and Advatages of Living within a Short Drive of a City. There is Theater, Shopping, Concerts, Ballgames, Museums and Everything Else a Major City has to Offer! We Knew that We Could Relax in Solitude and Comfort and Then Go Out on the Town if We Wanted to.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
What Sets Our Unit at Kai Lani apart from Others is the Attention to Detail that We Labored Over to Make This a Home! We Copied the Heavenly Beds at the Westin hotel chain and We Brought Art from All of the World During Our Travels. The Other Condo Complexes (namely Ko Olina Kai, Fairway Villas and Hillside Villas) are all Not on the Water or are on a Crowded Lagoon. We have a Small Secluded Sandy Cove that is Rarely Occupied! We encourage you to compare prices with other oceanfront properties in Ko Olina, namely the Beachside Villas, the Marriott timeshare property, the JW Marriott Ihilani hotel or the Disney Aulani Hotel. You will not find the kind of VALUE our property offers for the level of luxury and amenities it provides.
