  For the second time we have had the pleasure of enjoying your comfy and beautiful Legends Cabin. We really had a good time-the only thing we have not seen is snow. Okay. Probably next year we will come again and see some snow, but anyway with or without snow we really enjoy it. We wish you a very nice 2013- alot of blessings and thank you!

  We just got back from spending the weekend at Legends. We had a great weekend. Awesome property, private, spotless and very beautiful. Highly recommend renting. Can't wait to go back.

  What a great weekend we had last year,we had to come back for more this year! And this year we aren't forgetting to share our joy with you in this journal. We had weather from 20's to the 70's WOW! The fireplace was as breathtaking as always-it is quite a centerpiece to the living room. And the hot tub-ooh la la! We melted into "nothingness" in a matter of minutes. What a wonderful week we've had-lots of good meals cooked and enjoyed here in your lovely home. Thank you so much for sharing this delight with others! We'll be back! Thanks,

  We very much enjoyed our stay at the Legends cabin. First of all it was immaculate. Secondly, we felt very much at home. The glasses were the same as we use at home. The dishes were also the same and the rooster on top of refrigerator was one we have at home. What we don't have at home was the sun streaming in from the huge windows, the giant wrap-around porch with its great view and the quietness of the mountains. We throughly enjoyed our high country get-a-way and I know you will too.

  We spent Memorial weekend at Legends and had a wonderful time. The cabin is totally clean and very comfortable. We had friends over one evening for dinner and the kitchen is very well equipped. We found everything we needed.. The deck with the grill and hot tub was perfect. The cabin is in a good location - it is in a neighborhood of sorts, but is very private. Great place!

  Legends provided us with the perfect getaway. The cabin was everything we wanted and more! The beds were comfy, the cabin was immaculate, and the owners thought of everything for the kitchen. We liked our place so much, we cooked all our meals there, we didn't go out for even one meal! There was ample wood for the fireplace too. Somehow they even arranged for just enough snow to be pretty, but not keep us from getting out to do all we wanted to do! Ha! Ha! The location is perfect, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city , but close enough so we did't have far to go to get to our favorite hiking spots or the nearest grocery. We hope to come again very soon and have been recommending this little piece of heaven to all our friends.

  We have been visiting Star Hill for years, and it is a treasured and much anticipated place for my children to visit each summer. This cabin is perfect for our family of four, although the loft area allows for extra guests who have stayed with us. The cabin itself is nicely decorated with a large stone fireplace -- also good for making roasting marshmallows to make s'mores! For us (parents) the hot tub is one of our favorite features. The large rocking chair porch overlooking the country mountain scene is so relaxing and beautiful. The children love running up and down the hill and playing in the meadow area--we watch stars from there at night on a blanket. The pond is also a huge attraction--the kids find little creatures while my husband fishes. To us, Star Hill is the perfect mountain get-away--whether you are a couple just looking for a romantic retreat, or a family looking for a relaxing and fun escape!

  Starhill is a gem in Valle Crucis, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the cabin so much. It is very comfortable and the front porch is soooo relaxing. We would gladly go back, it was extremely nice, hot tub was great! Thanks Brian for letting us share your Star under the stars! We will give you a call the next time we can get away, we love the location.

  Thank you for allowing us to visit your cabin. We had some awesome family time and really enjoyed the hot tub! The fireplace kept us warm. Our 3 girls hoped we could stay forever. The cabin is beautiful and we had everything we needed. The guys really enjoyed the hill, they went skiing and sledding. We enjoyed Howksnest on Saturday! Thanks again!

  We had a wonderful week staying at Legends Cabin. It was so peaceful & relaxing. Our family enjoyed the sights of Linville Caverns, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad and more.   Thank you for kindly allowing us to use your lovely cottage, "LEGENDS". It is very cozy and in a perfect location. We were able to stay here and enjoy the wonderful amenities. We enjoyed Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, Tweetsie Railroad, The Mast Store, Price Lake & downtown Boone and lots more. Spent the 4th of July in Blowing Rock at the park and watched the parade. My 7 year old daughter loved horseback riding @ Dutch Creek Trails. We will def. tell our friends about your beautiful house in NC. Thanks again!

  The mountains are awesome. Hiking Boone's Fork boulder garden and Linville Falls was amazing. The fog can get bad sometimes if you're hiking a mountain, but otherwise it was great. The Mellow Mushroom was delicious. Horseback riding was terrific too

  We are at the end of yet another great trip to the NC Mountains. This is our 3rd time here at Legends and we enjoyed it better than the last two. Our boys were excited to see Bo again. We were sad to know that Duchess and Shannon were no longer around, but Bo played with the boys and gave them their "dog fix" for the year. We made our trip to Grandfather Mountain, a much different experience than in October when we normally visit. This was the first time seeing the eagle and we were happy to see one bear out and about. This was the first time all of us made it across the bridge, no one chickened out. Makata's restaurant was still a family favorite as was the Banner Elk diner. We added The Peddlar Steakhouse to this trip and it was fabulous. The Daniel Boone Inn was a must for lunch and of course a trip to The Ham Shoppe. Our Florida boys got to see their first snow flurries coming out of the sky Wednesday and awake to 3 1/2 inches of snow on the ground Thursday morning...We leave tomorrow for Tampa and warmer weather but will remember our great winter vacation at The Legends. We look forward to coming back next Fall to spend another great vacation at The Legends. Thanks,

  What a wonderful place to be! This cabin is absolutely the greatest and we haven't been in the hot tub yet! Us Appalachian Alumni know how to do it right and this place is R-I-G-H-T! Thank you so much for a fabulous weekend! And it is only Friday. Okay, now its Sunday and we still love the cabin! The fireplace, hot tub, and Autumn leaves make for a wonderful mountain weekend! I love this place and the fun times we had this weekend. The view from the porch is breathtaking and sitting in the yard is so relaxing. Thanks for letting us borrow your house for the weekend. Its been great!
