The guest house is a quiet residential safe neighborhood on the Cotee River in Port Richey, FL. It has a new kitchen with oak cabinets and granite counter tops, newer appliances, all linens, towels, and kitchen equipment needs are provided. Nice comfy beds with new mattresses. There is also a washer and dryer. You can enjoy our dock with water bikes, kayaks, and canoe.
Price for the guest house is
$1100 per month April-December and
$1400 Per month Jan-March or $400 per week, (we are booked Jan, Feb and March 2013)
or $125 per night with a two night minimum
* Price is for 4 people (add $25/addl guest with max of six)-- *includes all utilities, cable, internet, lawn maintenance and garbage.
*There is a $250 refundable deposit and $200 refundable pet deposit if pets are approved. There is a fenced in yard in the front of the house that you may use if your pets get along with other pets. We have two golden retriever who are very friendly.
Kayak to a nearby island at the tip of the river or the nearby Salt Springs Park. There are also several waterfront restaurants with boat access. Dolphins and Manatees can been seen from our dock if you watch closely. We are 20 minutes from Weekee Wachee Springs and Buccanneer Bay. There is a back porch rocking chairs over looking vacant woods. Bicycles, BBQ grill, corn hole and fishing poles available in a connecting storage area. There is a 10pm city noise ordinance. This is a non-smoking house. Smoking permitted outside only.
Non-vicious, well-behaved housebroken pets will be considered with a $200 pet deposit.

The main home is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with built in screened private swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ gas grill, sauna, state of the art gourmet kitchen with granite counter, cherry cabinets, and stainless appliances, dual thermodore ovens and dual stainless refrigerators with dual ice machines. One Living room has knotty heart pine paneling and wood floors with a gas fireplace, 2nd living room has a 52' flatscreen tv with surround sound. Master bedroom has a king size bed and private bath. Deluxe front load washer and dryer included.
* The main house rental is $3500/month with a two month minimum plus a $500 refundable deposit. All utilities included as well as shared use of dock water bikes, canoe and kayaks. Johnboats and Pontoon Boats available for rental at nearby Sunset Landing Marina.

The landlords, who live in the front house, were always available and ready to fix problems. Beautiful river location and our yard was like the Florida of yesterday - an acre and a half of recently opened up forest. We like this area so much we used this trip to fiind a winter getaway in Clearwater. .Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

While having this family as guests in our cottage we became friends with this lovely family from France. They spoke little English and we spoke little French. It was fun to communicate and learn from one another. They enjoyed crabbing with my husband and neighbors, trips to Anclote Sandbar, and the birth of a baby manatee right near our dock. They loved the area so much they decided to move here and buy a house. We look forward to remaining friends with our new found French guests.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: This guest house is on a 1 and 1/2 acre lot so you have plenty of privacy. We have been in Port Richey for over 16 years and have resided in Florida for over 26 years. We love water sports and going to the nearby beach via boat. Sometimes we can even take our guests. We have golden retrievers that like to welcome everyone that comes. We are coming and going most of the time. I can assure you that you will feel welcome in either of our homes. If you don't have something you need, just ask us, we probably have two of them! We decided to convert our guest home into a seasonal rental a few years ago. It's on the tip of the Pithlachascottee River near an Indian Mound in an old quiet safe residential neighborhood. Everyone who has stayed there has been very pleased. Our goal is to surpass your expectations. You will likely find everything you need.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Kayaks, Canoe, water bikes, bicycles, and waterfront restaurants, fishing. You can usually see manatees and dolphin near our dock if you stay out there for awhile. Take a charter fishing trip to the Gulf of Mexico on the Miss Virginia, a charter fishing boat within walking distance or kayak up to several of our local waterfront restaurants such as Hooters, Crabshack, Rum River Tiki Bar, Whiskey River Restaurant or Seaside Inn, which are also within walking distance. Most provide music. Bring your boat and tie up to our floating dock and check out the 21 mile Pithlachascotee River or the Gulf of Mexico where we have many beautiful sandy beach islands close by. Kayak to the nearby State Salt Springs Park. Or you can rent a boat at the marina nearby.
