Located in the #1 rated family resort of Palmetto Dunes, this beautiful home is on the mariner's side at 65 Mooring Buoy, an exclusive gated community on Hilton Head Island. This home is located on the 4th row from the Atlantic Ocean and a two minute walk from your front door. Sit by the private pool overlooking the salt water lagoon and watch wildlife abound. Explore the miles of trails and paths that are suitable for walking, biking or jogging.
Rent a bike, canoe, or kayak from the bike rental company just up the street. Kayak up the 11 mile lagoon from the private dock for your use. Bike or walk to Shelter Cove Marina across the street from Palmetto Dunes Resort; watch the fireworks display every Tuesday night during the summer months.
This 5 bedroom home offers many amenities for your comfort and pleasure. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with small appliances, cookware, glassware and china. The living area and dining room as just off the kitchen and overlook the pool. The large pool is great for lounging, sunning, swimming and poolside parties or family gathers while cooking on the grill. Wireless internet is available; there are large flat screen TVs in each bedroom as well as the living area.
The bedrooms are arranged for multi-family comfort as there is a suite of two bedrooms, each with a full bath on one side of the house and on the other side is another bedroom with full bath; while downstairs a huge master bedroom with large bath as well as another bedroom designed for the kids in your family with two bunk beds, sleeper sofa and TV. There are three king beds, two single beds and bunk beds; sleeping 10 to 12 people. We provide a Wii System for the kid's bedroom to help entertain the kids while you are here.
There are great golf courses for the golfer and a world class tennis complex, all within walking distance of this home.

My family has been coming to Hilton Head for over 30 years now. My father decided to make HHI a part of our life in 1991 by building this beautiful home. It is crafted from the finest materials and has a real sense of stature when you are inside the home. We have actually never rented the home until this year. we decided to do so because our lives have gotten so busy that we are not able to enjoy the home as much as we did when I was young. So we wanted to have other folks come and visit and enjoy what we have come to love for so many years. Please, enjoy - relax - refresh. You will be glad you chose this home over many others. Everything was as stated in the description. There were eleven of us (3 generations) ages 71 down to a 1 year old. Tons of room and the pictures don't lie - click on all of them to see the entire house. The appliances were older but worked just fine. The backyard is perfect with the pool and lagoon. People were fishing right off the dock (unfortunately the only things we were catching were ~ 5" redfish. There are two convenient paths to the beach across the street (the only drawback on them is that they have several stairs to get over the dunes at the beach). I've vacationed at Hilton Head between 15 -20 times and can honestly say that this was the most "complete" property I have stayed at from its size, to location, amenities, price, etc. Becky and Chris also do a tremendous job with the rental of this property.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home was all we could wish for. Plenty of room and pretty well maintained. It had everything we were looking for... a pool, screened in porch, on one of the canals for kayaking and a 2-3 min walk to the beach. The kitchen was a little dated but functional, the bedrooms and baths were in mint condition. The area had everything we needed, golf, biking on the bike paths and down the beach and good restaurants. The house was comfortable and relaxing. September was a perfect time to go. The temperature was in the high eighties and sunny every day-we didn't want to leave.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The property was as advertised and the location was excellent. Close to beach, golf, and other activities. The property was clean and the pool was delightful. The layout was nice and open as their were 9 of us and there seemed to be plenty of room. The master was spacious and 4 of the 5 bedrooms had their own bathroom. The house being on the lagoon was great for fishing while still being a very short walk to the beach. I would recomend this house to a friend or relative and would rent it again when I return to Hilton Head.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.
