  Our first time in Maui was a lovely treat; the corner, ground floor unit, close to the pool & shuffle board was very convenient and the amenities provided were more than adequate. We especially appreciated the land line with free local & long distant calls to Canada. Also, we found Stella more than helpful & kind in providing us with information & allowing us some flexibility in leaving on our last day. As well, the fact that we were NOT charged a cleaning fee was a real bonus, reflecting a trust which is not always evident these days. This was much appreciated. Though we were alone during our stay, this unit, I feel, would be perfect for grandparents (or another couple) with other family members renting nearby condos who might wish to drop by for a cup of tea/coffee, etc. Every evening we enjoyed walking to the beach - a very short stroll, or watching the beautiful sunsets from our lanai. The location of Luana Kai is also excellent in terms of easy access to shopping, etc. We found we could just walk south along the beach to reach a coffee shop, grocery stores & restaurants. A car ride would take one less than 5 minutes. We would certainly recommend this unit to others; the rules are well enforced, & despite being close to the pool, for the most part we heard little noise. While some updating, particularly in the bedroom (the bed was very comfortable) & bathroom would be helpful, we found the kitchen, especially well appointed. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much & would be glad to come again.

  Excellent place to stay. Unit D107 was very convenient being on the ground floor. Close to pool, hottub, BBQ and the parking lot was very close. I would highly recommend this unit. It was very clean and nicely done inside. The owner was very helpful with all my questions and even emailed me during my stay and after to see if we needed anything. Close to shopping and markets. Highly Recommend this unit.

  I highly recommend this ocean front rental which was perfect for two people or a small family. I loved the convenient location in Kihei with lots of restaurants and shopping areas nearby. The first day we had a very memorable delicious Kaulua pork lunch at DA Kitchen which is closeby. I suggest that two people share an order because there was so much meat. Also, within the complex, this unit must be one of the best since it was a corner ground floor unit with the swimming pool and barbeques right around the corner for a quick dip to cool off but being able to return to our unit enjoy the quiet on our lanai and the grass in front to sunbathe, drink Margaritas and read. The unit itself was clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped with everything we needed with many unexpected amenities including a blender, rice cooker, books, cooler, lawn chairs, and beach towels. This unit is a great deal for the amenities and location. The complex even has a resident masseuse with very reasonable rates that both of us thoroughly enjoyed using and how convenient! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT especially considering its very reasonable pricing. We stayed there 5 days so there was there was no cleaning fee, a real luxury for our last morning there.

  This was our first time to Maui and on the advice of a relative who has stay at the Luana Kai complex for the past three years we found this one bedroom unit. We absolutely were very happy with the location of the unit. The ground floor level right by the pool area, hot tub side worked great for us all. Our relative was in another building with three small children so having our unit ground floor was so handy. Being pool side was not overly noisy and with quiet time 10:00pm, not an issue at all. The birds morning songs were also appreciated. The location of the whole complex is also good. Looking straight out at the ocean with an unobstrutive view was very relaxing. Here you don't have to cross the road to get to the water. Plenty of grass for the kids to play on safely. The unit itself is sufficiently stocked with glasses, dishes etc. Nice bedding and towels. We would leave the main door opened to the hall and the sliding door also open when we were in the unit and were kept cool with a great cross breeze. This kept the unit very comfortable for sleeping. Good windows also to open in kitchen and bedroom. Good size bathroom with an almost separate area for showering and toilet. Nice. When we had supper meals with the whole family, 3 kids and 5 adults it worked well. All in all a good place for a holiday.

  Stella, I spent 16 nights in your Luana Kai condo (July 12-28, 2011) and could not have been more pleased! It was immaculately clean, well equipped and comfortable. I have been coming to Maui for years and have stayed in condos all over West Maui and South Maui., But I haven't been more comfortable than I was this trip in your unit., I especially enjoyed the oceanfront location. Evenings sitting out on your lanai at sunset with a rum and coke in hand were especially peaceful. I thought that the lack of air conditioniong might be a problem, but I was wrong. Being a corner unit, with the kitchen window open and the slider to the lanai open there was a constant breeze flowing through the unit. Over the years I have done all the helicopter tours, the snorkle trips, etc,.This year I did the Piiholo Ranch zipline adventure, I recommend it! Thank you for maintaining such a wonderful vacation rental! I will return..... hopefully in June 2012,. Steve San Diego, CA

  Your condo and the complex are quite wonderful. We have stayed a number of times at another condo down the road in Kihei and loved it but now we're hooked on the Luana Kai. The communal setting for the pool encouraged interaction with the other friendly guests, most nights we were in the pool and hot tub with our daughter until 10 pm, the pool was a nice size and decent temperature. Your condo was definitely in a perfect location and not at all too loud despite being so close to the pool. Maintenance came by and fixed the slightly leaking bathroom fixture. Loved the cross breezes with the side windows. Fully stocked condo with everything we needed. We loved eating at Fred's in Kihei and had a cheap but yummy meal there when we went on Taco Tuesday. Also the new Polynesian Village Luau at the Aston Maui Lu complex just a few minutes away in Kihei was a find - reasonably priced with a family feel in a cozy setting - make your own fresh flower lei, paint a coconut and feel a part of the ohana. Thanks for a great setting for our vacation - we'll be back!

  Comfort, beauty, fun and more! Our family could not have been more pleased with this 1 bedroom Condo at Luana Kai. The kitchen and living room looked out to beautiful lawns and an ocean view. The beach was a simple walk across the lawn and all of the additional Luana Kai pleasures (pool, hot tub, BBQ's, shuffleboard etc.) were at our finger tips. Everything was better in reality! The condo surpassed the description of the listing and photos on-line. We enjoyed the feel and look of the new carpet and the new kitchen. The entire condo was extremely clean and well maintained. Last, but not least...the owner and property managers were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. Yes, we would highly recommend this condo at Luana Kai, and recommend that you enjoy the snorkeling, boogie boarding, surfing and sunset walks on the beach that this location has to offer.

  I was impressed with the great location as far as being so close to the pool/hot tub, right next to the shuffle board and opening onto a big field which was so fun for the kids. This place is great for a family getaway and the condo had everything we needed for a fun trip. The owners even allowed for late checkout which was nice with young kids that need to nap and we had a very late flight, so it was very helpful. Would come back again to Luana Kai condo again most definitely and hopefully soon.
